I noticed a crack in my windshield of my car and called Safelite. Got an appointment pretty quickly. They sent me updates of their arrival time and were there within the window of time given. Upon inspection of my window, it was found that the crack was longer than I expected, so it could not be repaired, it had to be replaced. They would have to come out the next day for that since I didn't know the size of the crack, and they did not have a windshield with them. The same scenario for the next day. Arrived within time given , replaced windshield, and had to take it out for a 10 minute drive to calibrate the cameras. All in, took about an hour in my own driveway. I did not have to go anywhere. Very convenient! Both of the technicians were very respectful and did their job. I would not hesitate to use them again should I ever need their services. read more

I made an appointment online to replace a windshield in my 2000 Dakota. The price was quoted and appointment confirmed for the next day. l received a call several hours later from the local Safelite saying they are cancelling the appointment as they do not replace windshields on 25 year old vehicles. Nowhere does it say that on the web site. Why would they make the appointment and confirm it by text and email then cancel it!! l am highly disappointed and dissatisfied . If they had been upfront with the issue, no problem, but l was led to believe it was all good. Never again!!! read more

I recently had a windshield replaced on my 2022 Tesla Model Y. Everything was set up online and was pretty simple. It included detailing the damage, sending pictures, and setting appointment. Here is my only issue, once a windshield sustains a crack, there's a great chance that more damage can occur, like a crack growing, as occurred in my case. There is no way to add that to the appointment. I literally had to wait for my repair tech to call. I advised him he may need to bring a windshield as the crack had grown from about an inch or two to about ten inches. He told me to just cancel the appointment online and request a replacement appointment. This was also easy to do, but I lost a day in the process and it would have been easier to communicate with Safelite to make the change. They work well with insurance so I only had to pay my deductible which was a great deal! The staff was great, once my replacement was set, the communication was excellent as well. I wanted to wait a few months to write a review. With all the traveling I do, those roadways and semis have not been kind to my ride. Several small cracks that spread so fast I didnt have time to try to get them repaired. Finally bit the bullet n got the windshield replaced. Great online website that figured out the exact windshield my vehicle needed along with approximate price. Able to make online appointment and given appropriate time to pick up. When I returned to pick up my car, they even gave me the discount I found after I made the appointment. Approximate price was exactly right. Paid $500 out of pocket to replace my entire windshield on my less than 2 year old car. I did not go through insurance. 19 days after Safelite replaced the windshield, it cracked. I scheduled the warranty appointment. Safelite did not honor their advertised "lifetime quality craftsmanship warranty" they promote. They advertise to notify Safelite within 30 days of defect, which I did. It was literally a couple of weeks. Safelite said the new crack on the brand new windshield they replaced was "other" damage not covered. I notified them I thought there was an issue in the installation because I heard a rattling after their Safelite tech installed the new windshield. The manager declined to honor their workmanship and quality guarantee warranty. Safelite offered a "discount" for me to purchase and install another brand new windshield again . I had to pay another $300.00 to Safelite to replace the windshield they just installed. Very disappointed, beware. read more

Due to a dumb mistake made by myself I broke the back window of my 2019 Chrysler Pacifica. I scheduled an online appointment with Safelite. The young man, Nick came within the appointed window of time and installed the new Bach glass. He was very personable and polite. He did a great installation and vacuumed up the glass that I had missed. All I had to pay was my deductible. I was very pleased and would recommend them to anyone. read more

It was horrible ..we are senior citizens..my daughter RECOMMENDED them..showed me their windshield after it was fixed years ago. You can hardly tell where it was damaged..ours looks the same as it did when it was hit by stone on highway,looks like they never even touched it.called and complained,she acted like they don't care what we think.. read more

They came to my husband's place of employment to do the work. Did not take them very long to complete. My husband said very nice very polite. Afterwords, we had a question about the repair comment it appeared to us as if there was still a small hole in the area. Dennis was friendly, attentive, and quick! We've had two other windshields replaced and I've never seen a tech do it so fast before! It was replaced in the parking lot at work and I didn't have to miss any time. The only issue is there was a miscommunication between me and Megan on the phone while setting up my appointment and the little Willys Jeep logo is in a different place on this windshield than the original. From some research though, Jeep may not make the windshields the same anymore. Anyway, great service! read more

I'm disgusted about their on line reviews, it's all about how good they are and the positive reviews. I have a complaint and there is nowere to report it and get a response. Over the years I've had satisfactory results but this time I have a complaint on the work and there is no were on line to report it, so I will have to take time to go to the business. I didn't have time in the first place so I told them where the vehicle was and they came out and fixed the windshield, but didn't complete the repair. I don't have time for appointments, they said between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. They came in the afternoon, so much for appointments if your busy. Another appointment to fix the problem? read more

Nick, the technician, was polite, friendly and competent. I booked the appointment online and received frequent communication as to timing of Nick's arrival. Very disappointed with Safelite. My first complaint is the fact that you cannot schedule the work with a representative. Someone that can explain what "drop off service" is as opposed to a regular appointment. I thought I was getting a regular appointment, but instead got the drop and go. Also needed to know how long the work would take. The website said drop it off by 9:30 but didn't explain the shop opened at 7:30 and the vehicle could have been left that early. Because of this, my vehicle was at the end of the que for service. Since I have a newer car with reactive cruise control and automatic breaking, I wasn't aware of the need to have my system recalibrated with a windshield replacement. My first appointment had the new windshield installed, but by the end of the day, I was told that my system would not calibrate without an original equipment windshield. I was given an appointment for the following week. At the end of that appointment, I was told that they still could not calibrate the system and I would have to take it to a dealer. Now as I write this review, I am waiting for a call from my insurance adjuster on just how I am to proceed. The contract with Safelite included recalibration, and they cannot fulfill that. The dealer isn't going to do that work without payment, and I don't want to get stuck paying for something that should have been included. All the time I spoke with the technician, he just kept mentioning the $100 deductible. Add on to this the fact that the Safelite shop nearest me isn't nearby. I won't go back. Friendly staff and received my daughters vehicle back faster than anticipated. The down side, service lacks detail. My daughters goes away to college and needed a new winsdhield, I brought it in prior to her going back. She has a parking pass that she paid for hanging on the rear view mirror. Everything seemed fine, but when she returned to school she could not find her parking pass. It was never returned, so it was either thrown away or just left on their shop floor. She noticed the wires for her bluetooth that are in the headrest not reconnected to the rearview mirror. They were willing to offer a gift card to pay for the lost parking pass, as it's over a $100, and just some money back for our troubles. Again friendly staff, but I would recommend taking your car somewhere else that makes sure things get done right the first time. read more

Customer service skills are horrible. They left my interior of my car a mess. They can replace a windshield but that's it. Make sure everything they touched is replaced correctly. Their poor craftsmanship cost me and I will not be back. read more

I made my appointment online through my phone for a same day appointment. I showed up 1/2 hour early and they accommodated me. My chip in my windshield was fixed and I was on my way before my initial appointment time! Office was clean. My technician was polite. He quickly and simply explained the process. Needed a new windshield and my insurance told me about Safelite, I had heard about them on the radio and I heard they were good, well I revise this review now to say wtf. I had the glass repkaced only for it to leak, they came out once and said they fixed it, WRONG! still leaking, a second time they put a new window in, STILL LEAKS! Now they are coming out for a third time and God help em if it leaks again. Forget this, at least they are nice but dam get the glass right. read more

I was traveling from out of state when a rock hit the windshield and the window cracked. Making an online appointment was easy and convenient. The employees were very friendly and accommodating. The car was dropped off for the window to be replaced and then within the hour was call that the wrong windshield was delivered. I would have to return the next day for the new one. Next day dropped car off and I was contacted about 4 hours later that it was ready. It appeared fine and again the employees very helpful. Upon driving on the interstate home had a loud noise coming from the windshield. Today took the car to our local Safelite dealer and once I told they what I was hearing the technician right away told me what was wrong. He asked if I was warned that the cowling on the 2014 Jeeps need to be replaced when the window is replaced. Never mentioned it. He was quick to point out the issue. He then mentioned that normally the insurance company is made aware to replace this with the window. He spoke to his manage and they are now working to correct this issue. Disappointed that this has taken so long. I have used our local dealer before and they have been outstanding. read more

My husband made an appt for 8/22/17 the evening before, to have our side window replaced. When he arrived they said that they had the WRONG window. Well, the wrong window was put in the right box. Right. They wanted him to wait while they called around looking for the correct window, but he had to work so he made a follow-up appt for this morning. Guess what? They had the WRONG window AGAIN! What?? How shoddy does a place have to be to make the same mistake TWICE with the same customer?!! Waited all day for them to come replace the windshield, and they didn't even bring a windshield to replace it and seemed to lie about the insurance coverage or their warranty of the windshield since they repaired it on January 31st. They treated us as if we weren't smart enough to 'understand' what they meant and only told how the windshield got cracked over the phone to the boss. The man told the man of our house over the phone that he had a windshield to replace ours when he didn't as if he was trying to save face. The man that worked for them ran from the house with his tail between his legs when he heard that the man of the house would be home soon; he wasn't quite willing to face up to his faults at all. I find the review from Jeremy hard to believe since they have a lifetime warranty for replacements...
