I brought my Ford Escape in for one leaking tire, which of course they said was unfixable without a new tire. Then it was suggested that all four be replaced, which given the mileage, was reasonable. So I go with the lowest package, which $800+ seems expensive for, but I rolled with it. Well apparently when I asked what the tire cost would be, the extra $100 for tire rotation wasn't added in. So now I'm pushing a grand for 4 tires. Definitely not the cheapest around but despite the overselling, I agreed to it. But that's only enough reason to give it 3 stars for being the average crappy tire dealership. The 1 star is because when I had to get a brake job done a few months later, my mechanic called and asked where I got my tires. I said Belle Tire, to which he said he spent more than an hour just removing the lug nuts, because apparently torque isn't a concept that's understood over there. So another $120 was needed for lug nuts. I brought my lug muts and my complaint to them, and after picking out a couple "acceptable" lug nuts from the bad ones I showed them, he said "well, those lug nuts swell and we don't have the exact socket size for them so there's not much we can do with them. It's pretty common with Escapes."Really?? And after you rounded them off and sent me back on the road where my car lug wrench doesn't even work on them anymore, now you tell me there's a problem with my lug nuts? Thankfully I didn't have a flat tire in no man's land and found out the hard way how hard it is to remove cylinder lug nuts. Thanks for nothing. And I appreciate the concern by warning me of these "swelling" lug nut issues before I paid $1000 for irremovable tires. What a bunch of smug incompetents. Discount Tire here I come. read more

Dropped my car off to get new tires. 20 minutes later received a call saying I would need all new shocks and struts at a cost of $1,600. This did not include the price of the tires. Told them to hold off on any work, I wanted to call around for quotes. First quote was $700 for a full replacement. Called another place very close to my home and said I would have my car there in an hour. Went back to belle tire to find that they had changed out my tires even though I said hold off on any work. So I ended up paying them for the tires. Long story short, the place close to home did a full up and down courtesy inspection with a printed breakdown of the results showing me my shocks and struts are totally fine and that Belle was doing nothing more than a $1600 money grab. read more

I needed tires mounted. So I called for Belle Tire's price. I was told over the phone $15 to mount and balance the tires, which seemed a bit low so I asked him to confirm the price. "Yup, that's what we charge, every day". When I get to the store, I was told $30 and if they need to dismount the old tires, it would be $40. I said that I was told over the phone that it would be $15. Then he gets a bit snarky and says "I would never tell anyone that it's $15" and then he asks his coworker "Did you tell him it would be $15?" "No, I would never tell anyone that it's $15." Went in after I got off work at 3:30 pm for a front end alignment. Was told it would be 2 hours before they would be able to get to my car. They said if I came in first thing in the morning they could get it right away. I could not bring it back then so I left it there over night so they could start on it first thing in the morning. I told them I would be back in 24 hours to pick it up. They called me at 11am to tell me they could not align my car because I need new tires. That did not totally surprise me. I told them to go ahead and put new tires on and get it aligned, not a cheap decision but it had to be done. I got off work at 3:00pm had a coworker drop me off. Walked into their lobby to pay them and get my keys, and was informed that the alignment had not been done. There were two cars ahead of mine and they would get to my car in about 2 hours. Needless to say I was very upset and did not have that kind of time on this day to wait. So their solution was I could pay for the tires and take my car, which is what I had to do. So now I am drive a car with new, not cheap tires and it still pulls to the left and handles like crap. I am also looking for a shop that does alignments and will not be using Belle again. In closing I would suggest " That in a life time that is finite, if you have an infinite amount of time you should try Belle Tire. read more

While visiting my family in Toledo, my car alerted me that my tire pressure was low. I called to check availability of an appointment and they said to come in. I was greeted by a few gentleman at the counter as soon as I walked in. I immediately felt comfortable as the agent explained the difference in nitrogen and air for my tires. I informed them that I came from Florida. He explained the cold would be a reason my car gave me an error. They topped off my tires and reset my tire error message. We ordered tires, scheduled an appointment, showed up, waited an hour and half to be told "Oh, we don't have tires for your car." Then proceeded to be told they called and left us a voicemail. Having no voicemail we called our carrier to find this mystery voicemail, and it doesn't exist. Lying about having our tires, lying about having them ready for us, and lying about a voicemail. Man this place was a jewel I stumbled upon! Had to pick up some paperwork in Ohio coming from Detroit and on the way back my baby 2003 Ford F-150 I've been having for 15yrs had a little problem. Belle had a full shop and got me in ASAP diagnosed the problem and had my baby back in the road just like that. I took my car into Belle Tire in Oregon, OH because it had a slow tire leak on a tire that I didn't purchase from them. I was told it might take awhile to repair because they were busy. No problem! 15 minutes later the service tech brought the car up front and explained there was a rim leak which he repaired plus checked the other tires as well, free of charge! Maybe all tire retailers offer this service for free, I don't know. But when I need tires in the future they will be on my radar. read more

I do a lot of traveling with work and every location treats me like they do at home, and don't gouge me on the price when they find out I am out of town. I took my car in for an alignment and some new tires. I had just gotten this car. They gave me new tires, messed up my rims(didn't care much about that) but said I had too many issues with my car to do the alignment. they quoted me $800 for the repairs. I told them I would look at it when i got home. Come to find out, the parts they were trying to get me to replace, were brand new. And I did need a tie rod replaced badly, yet they didn't tell me about that. But other than that tie rod and breaks, car is fine. They tried taking advantage of me because I was a girl and I had just bought the car and wasn't able to examine it. read more

My husband went for an oil change today on a Chevy Silverado and they insisted he had to use Desko oil charging him $77 or they would be sued mind you this is without tire rotation. Thank goodness there are places like Tireman who are honest and charge $35 with tire rotation. We will never go again read more

I used them before for another brake job and they were reasonable so I called them when I needed new brake lines put on the front of my truck. I asked for a ballpark and was given 200.00. But was told they were hesitant because sometimes they can ballpark themselves out of a job, so I was expecting that ballpark to be low. I was prepared to spend twice that amount if necessary. I was told they would need to see my vehicle so I had it towed there. I was then called back with an estimate of 640.00. I was told labor was the majority of the bill at 340.00. Knowing how much parts cost, I knew that they weren't anywhere near 300.00 for parts. Then I was told 70.00 was for a brake flush (aka bleeding the brakes). Still that was way too much for parts. Then I was told they buy brake line by the roll and I was charged for a whole role at around 150.00. I needed only 11 feet of brake line which I was charged only 26.99 for when I had my truck towed to another shop. I was charged only 125.00 for labor, 77.00 for parts, and they towed my vehicle for 35.00. I don't feel 640.00 was reasonable or even valid in any way. I won't use them for anything but new tires in the future. read more

This is a great place to take your vehicle for any mechanical work that needs to be done. They are very trustworthy and do an excellent job, better than some local mechanic shops in town. They do have access to FREE air in the back of the store for your tires as well. They are in a great location also (next to Key Bank on Navarre Ave.) This is the only place I go for any work that needs to be done. read more

BEWARE! If I could rate this location 0 stars, I would. Took our car in to replace an alternator. On the invoice I was charged $40. When questioning the manager, Toby, what this charge was for he said he didn't know. It was handled by an employee from another store when they were working at his store. He said, " I am not stomping out that fire" when I questioned if he could look into it. Not to mention they replaced my battery one day and the next day it quit running again. This time the alternator went "poof" according to Toby, the manager. Obviously, they did not check the alternator and just put a new battery in it. Now, I have a charge for $140 for a new battery that I didn't need. The alternator's job is to charge the battery. The battery was not passing the test due to the alternator being bad. They did not check the alternator. They have done this another time to me. One time is a mistake. Two times is a problem with their store. read more

I bought a new set of tires here. They damaged my rims and then tried to hide it. They put a "bent rims" note on my invoice that they are trying to say is how they alerted me. Without ever showing or telling me or discussing this issue, sent me on the road and then tried to blame me for the damage. I would have bought a new rim had I known I was driving on a severely damaged rim, instead of getting a flat on the side of the road which is why I bought new tires in the first place. They are tire experts if my rim came in damaged over a 2 " section they should have never touched it or at least shown me and had me sign off on the damage. They never alerted more or discussed a new rim option, nothing. If they came in that way, why would they not try to tell me and sell me a new rim. There is sealant trying to hold the seal for more than 2". Go to your dealership for tire work, they will stand behind their work and wont cause more damage than you came in with. read more
