They stole my windshield and left my car undriveable. The insurance sent these guys out for a windshield replacement. Once the windshield was off, the tech found a 1" x 1" spot of rust, informed me that Safelite will not install over rust and refused to go any further. I showed him that the rust was totally surface rust (it came off in literally 10 seconds with a wire brush. See attached before and after photos). But he called his manager and she said that she had seen the pictures he sent to her and would not let him install it. I said, "fine, then put my old windshield back on," to which I was told that they could not because of the "moldings". The manager (who was on the tech's speaker phone) told me to have it towed to a body shop to have the rust fixed (at my expense of course), then ordered the tech to pack up and leave. They literally vandalized my car and left it undriveable. I was absolutely dumbfounded. And here's the kicker: Safelite installed the previous windshield! Which means that they either installed it over that rust-spot before without an issue, or they were the ones who did not seal it properly so it could rust. Unbelievably terrible customer service. This is tantamount to a carpenter coming to your house to install a new front door, removing the old one, finding a problem beneath and saying, "sucks to be you," and leaving with no front door on your house! I made a glass claim through my insurance company and went to this location to have a windshield replaced and a lane departure camera calibrated. The replaced the windshield but we unable to calibrate the camera. They set me away with a dash full of flashing lights and told me to go to the dealership to have it calibrated. They too my full deductible and told me that my insurance would pay the dealership. Next morning at the dealership, I'm told it's an out of pocket payment and it will get reimbursed. I called the Safelite shop that did the work and was told that he had never heard of a dealership that wouldn't manage an insurance claim. I spoke Safelite customer service and was told that most dealerships do not and that I was misinformed. Overall, this was handled poorly and I will never return to this location. read more

Safelite was recommended by our insurance company. Their catchy jingle made us think that they might actually do a good job replacing our cracked windshield. We were wrong. We dropped off our car early in the morning and utilized their key drop. My wife called in the middle of the afternoon to ask if our vehicle was done or when we might expect it to be done since we were leaving town that evening. The young lady who answered the phone seemed extremely annoyed that she would have to answer a customer's question. And she was very condescending in her response. The pick-up and insurance billing processes went just fine. However, two days later my wife sliced her finger open on a large glass shard that was embedded in our front passenger seat. As we investigated more, there are glass shards on the seat, in the floor mat, and in the carpet around the floor mat. How in the world do we get glass shards inside our car when replacing an entire, completely whole windshield? If it is necessary to break a windshield to remove it, then they should be much more diligent in cleaning up the loose glass. Thankfully the cut will heal but we won't use Safelite again. read more

I went in for a rock chip repair, after I left I noticed that some of the cracks were not filled. I went back the next day, and on top of not repairing my rock chip properly, I was very poorly and unprofessionally treated. They were defensive, rude and unaccountable. I took my car to Prime Glass for a second opinion. They confirmed what in suspected, the repair was not properly done, and unfortunately, can't be fixed. Shame on you SafeLite. I wish I had read your unbelievably low and not surprising rate that f 1.5 stars. I bet you don't have zero because us customers do not have the option. Terrible service and terrible customer service. Will NEVER go back. Do not waste your money. Also, they charge $100 if out of pocket, most honest and competent places charge $50. read more

Safelite was recommended by our insurance company, similar to another review. Worst decision ever to go through Safelite. We needed to replace the windshield of our 2019 Toyota Tacoma. I received multiple emails confirming the appointment; day before and day off. The appointment was scheduled on 09/29/2021 at 3:30pm, which was one of the provided allotted times of availability. Didn't think anything of it until my husband dropped it off and was told it was going to take 3-4 hours to install and recalibrate. Interesting part since they close at 5:00pm. We arrived back at their shop around 4:30pm and the truck was done and ready in their parking lot. We were super happy until we got home and noticed that the paint on the top of the truck, where the windshield would have been removed and installed was scraped. A day later and I have yet to get in touch with their customer service. I've called multiple times and not one representative is available and the call is dropped. I've tried the "chat with live rep", but was told I needed to call customer service. How is it possible for this company to function without valid customer service? That's just the hurdle I'm going through right now, and if I ever get a hold of someone from their customer service department, the likelihood of the company fixing the damage is highly unlikely. read more

I had my windshield replaced a few months ago and when I got back to Wyoming I noticed the dashboard was cracked right in the middle next to the windshield after the installation. It looks to have happened by the installer prying up on it during installation. This vehicle has always been under cover and it wasn't from sun heat. I knew I could never prove that they had done it during installation, so I let it go. Now it is Fall and there is precipitation I now have water running from under the dash directly from the left corner of the windshield. There is no getting through by calling them and I don't really want them touching my vehicle again anyway. Also they charge $45.00 for throwing the old windshield into the dumpster after installation. I wish I had read these reviews on the particular store and I surely would never have gone onto their property. I've had excellent service from the Safelite on 10600 south and I thought I had made the appointment with them, but I found I had to go to the lousy 90th south store. I sure hope Safelite area management sees these reviews on the store and doesn't something about it. read more

If I could go lower than 1 star I would. I had my windshield completely replaced and it cracked in 2 places within a week. I went back to the store and the manager came out (after his 15 minute smoke break) to take a look. As expected he immediately said it was from a rock. I literally watched it crack, no rock impact or chip. He simply did not want any responsibility for a poor install, or poor glass or whatever. As the fleet manager for our company I have literally taken dozens of vehicles to this location over the past decade. Never again and I advise any of you to not take your vehicle there. Wow. I just look at your reply and all I can say is if you are as out-of-touch with handling customers in store as I found you to be, you are even worse at dealing with social media. This reply is 100% word-for-word right out of your corporate handbook, isn't it? Your reply does not address the problem, admit the problem or solve anything. It just checks that box in the corporate manual that says you have to reply to all social media posts. At a MINIMUM, a REAL human should/would have replied with something like, "You are right- this should not have happened. We are sorry and we will make every effort to be more forthright in our pricing." And if you actually MEANT you were going to do something, you would have gone even further and responded with the path you would follow to actually prevent this from occurring again. I would leave them NO stars. They stole $500 from us for "programming the lane departure" when the vehicle does NOT have that feature... Got down the road a ways, out of town and our windshield POPPED OFF!! We called and they refused to come out and fix it. Then they told us we needed to drive over 300 miles to get it done. Absolutely not!! They also "made an appointment " for us at our next destination, turns out the lady on the phone just wanted to get off the call. She bamboozled us, there's NO Safelite in the town.. bullshit! Absolutely bullshit. Now our Van that we live in had a use leak because half of the window isn't sealed and it's slowly growing in failure. Horrible customer service! read more

Total BS I had my windowshield replaced and calibrated by safelite. I originally gave them a good review because the technician called before the scheduled repair time to let me know he was done with the prior appointment and could come early. It was finished before the original scheduled appointment. However after the repair I started receiving tons of error codes from pre collision warnings to AWD not available /advanced tech repair required. Took it back to safelite twice for recalibration with same problems afterwards. They sent me to the Ford dealership saying the would cover the repair. They attempted recalibration twice and I am still having the same issues and the dealership says they have not covered the repair, cannot get ahold of the manager and they have not returned calls. All this crap over a stupid, very common rock chip/windowshiled replacement. read more

Very happy with the work done on my vehicle. The mobile tech that came out was very professional but I'm guessing that due to weather and possibly being rushed, the job didn't come out like it should've the first time. There was water leak into my vehicle. I scheduled an appointment to have my vehicle worked on in a shop near where I live. When I arrived I explained and pointed out the areas of my issue and left it in the techs hands. About an hour later, pretty standard wait time, the car was done and the issues of the previous install were explained to me along with the changes that were made on the new install, different molding, weather stripping, etc. It all made sense and looks great. Yes the first install wasn't done correctly but that's life so I just simply scheduled an appointment to have it fixed. Nothing can be perfect every single time for every single person but Safelite took care of fixing the issues from the first install at no cost to me and were very friendly and professional. My warranty service number is 01829-343391 and I would very much appreciate of the technician that worked on my vehicle would be notified of the outstanding job he did. We will be back to this shop in the event we ever need work done on our other vehicles. Also, it was a breeze to schedule my appointments online. Super easy and straight forward site. Don't go here! You can not trust these people with your car! They busted the plastic around the locking/unlocking mechanism on my passenger door. Not only did they fail to inform me that this happened, but when i came back first I was told that it was cracked where the plastic had snapped, and that it broke the rest of the way when the door panel was removed. Second I was told that it was already completely broken when they did the pre-inspection before replacing my window. When I confronted the manager with the two different claims he finally agreed to order the part and do the repair however had I not caught the slip in the lie, I would have been left with having to pay out of pocket to fix the damage. Cody was awesome. Inexpensive and quick af. Glass looked good and it cured super fast and inward driving 30 minutes later. I usually do all my classic cars windshield and trim but this was just too inexpensive I figured if it's sucked I'd just remove but it was as good or better than I'd do. read more
