The (very small) original crack

They take no responsibility when they make the crack worse and just blame the unpredictability of glass. The technician never spoke to me prior to attempting the repair but then after he broke it he said it had been a higher risk to spread due to the original location of the crack. Had he told me that prior to starting the work, I could have made an informed decision. Instead, he broke my windshield to the point it needs to be replaced. Safelite actually benefits when they "accidentally" make the crack worse, because now instead of a $140 fix they want me to pay for a $1500+ windshield. I should have looked more closely at BBB complaints and other reviews before coming here. What a costly mistake.

So I wasn't too happy w/ the finished product of my chip repair. Ended up posting it on an autoglass forum & pretty much everyone unanimously agreed that the legs didn't take much resin at all. The tech was either rushing, or didn't know what he was doing. I saw him call over another tech too, which made me nervous. Next time I'll be sure to go somewhere else.

Good ass service no Cap Got the job done fast Est wait time 2.5hrs Got out of there within an hour! Got my entire windshield replaced And it looks great !

BEWARE: they'll make your problem worse and then say it's not their problem. I had safelite out to repair a couple of small chips in my windshield. The tech arrived and began working on my car. Shortly after his arrival, he came to the door saying he had bad news. He said the chip became worse. The chip started out as maybe a little smaller than the size of a pea. I now have an about 5" crack on my windshield. I was told it's not their problem and I have to pay out of pocket to fix it. So they could basically have ZERO quality control and be cracking windows left & right and just say ooops sorry and have no consequences?? At no point prior to this service was I told by any safelite employee that worsening the chip was a possibility. They didn't say anything prior to and I didn't sign anything acknowledging liability if it were to crack. I've never had chips repaired before and had no idea this was a possibility. If I had known that there was a good chance of making it worse, I probably would've left the chips alone as they were hardly noticeable and now I have a massive crack in my window. I tried calling the local number and was given the run around by the guy who answered the phone. He blamed the crack on everything under the sun, despite the tech telling me it was their machine that cracked it. He tried to tell me I HAD to go through insurance to replace the window. He tried blaming the cold weather at night and it being 40 degrees for the crack (it was repaired at 12pm in the afternoon, it's a high of 72 degrees and not remotely cold today). They literally did everything but take responsibility and apologize. After I explained that I had no idea making it worse was a possibility, he agreed to take $80 off the cost of paying out of pocket for a new window which is still $400. What an absolute joke. This should be getting repaired at cost since the tech damaged the window and made it worse without explaining anything prior to the service. Beware if you use this service and they crack your window, you'll be SOL and you'll have to replace your window at your own expense. Edited to add: I spent 2 hours getting the run around on the phone with Safelite. They simply kept transferring me to Geico where I have to pay $500. They took ZERO responsibility for the failed communication/damage to my windshield and basically said tough $hit and kept transferring me. If there is a possibility of the repair "failing" YOU should be telling people prior to service and having them sign something acknowledging they were told. EVERyone I spoke to acted as if it was common knowledge, I had no idea, that poor communication falls on you.

The first time they no-showed, I called when I was waiting outside their location and they said the technician had an emergency. Then they texted back and said it was because I didn't confirm the appt (which a courtesy message notifying me the appt was cancelled would've been appreciated if that was the case), but later texted saying to disregard that and they would do mobile services for the inconvenience. Scheduled them for mobile services for the next day and waited at home for several hours, but then technician had a medical emergency, so they asked me to come back to their main location the next morning. Next morning, no one was available to work on it. In sum, obviously unforeseen medical emergencies are unfortunate, but at that point, just stop scheduling appointments until everyone gets their health stuff figured out? It's an insanely rude waste of time.

After having to purchase a new vehicle last weekend, I quickly realized that I needed to have…read moredarker tint applied to all of the windows plus the moonroof. I called the last place that I used on my Cayenne (who did a great job and were professional), but their prices were much higher than in the spring of this year for ceramic tint. I decided to shop around. That's when I saw all of the great reviews for A+ which honestly made me a little bit skeptical, but I decided to reach out anyway. I messaged with someone for a day or two, and then I decided just to make the appointment. A+'s pricing was about $200 less than the last place that I took my last car to. They were able to get me in the very next day! That was surprising and a welcomed relief to my light sensitive eyes. When I arrived, I was greeted and we discussed my tinting preferences. After the game plan was made, I felt confident that I was going to get exactly what I wanted as far as the darkness in the vehicle. I came prepared to wait for hours on end, and in just over an hour, my vehicle was completed! I believe there were three gentlemen working on my windows, so that was great teamwork. I'm already planning on bringing my husband's truck back for tinting as a Hanukkah gift, but I will also be recommending this place to anyone and everyone because they really do warrant all of the great reviews! They did a fine job on my car (I have a basic Ford Escape, nothing fancy). I was told there was a Lifetime Guarantee! I noticed lately, the tinting on the right front passenger door is scrunching up. I couldn't find my receipt but I figured they would have me in their system, and so I drove down there and talked to someone in person, who gave me the impression he was in charge. He told me that they don't keep any information in the system and there was nothing he could do for me. He said I would need to find my receipt from 4 years back?! What?! Seriously? Who doesn't keep records in their business system? Are they using triplicates? He said for me come back and they could fix it and maybe "see what they can do after it's fixed." Huh?! I'm not gonna have the work done and get charged full price. Just bummed that this is how they do business.
