I had a large chip on my windshield that was just within a quarter size diameter. Looked pretty big and wasn't sure if it was repairable. I submitted a quote request on Yelp and Proper Auto Glass was one of the first to respond with a very reasonable competitive quote. They were also available the next day. I booked the appointment after looking briefly at the reviews on Yelp. Communication was awesome. Started on Yelp and moved over to text. I received a text with an approximate arrival and Nick, the owner, was there right on the dot. Nick was very knowledgeable and friendly. He worked quickly and repaired the windshield to about what I would have expected based on the size of the chip. Hope the repair holds! It saved me from buying a new windshield. Unfortunate experience. Got a great quote and scheduled an appointment for glass windshield replacement and got stood up twice. The first time they no-showed, I called when I was waiting outside their location and they said the technician had an emergency. Then they texted back and said it was because I didn't confirm the appt (which a courtesy message notifying me the appt was cancelled would've been appreciated if that was the case), but later texted saying to disregard that and they would do mobile services for the inconvenience. Scheduled them for mobile services for the next day and waited at home for several hours, but then technician had a medical emergency, so they asked me to come back to their main location the next morning. Next morning, no one was available to work on it. In sum, obviously unforeseen medical emergencies are unfortunate, but at that point, just stop scheduling appointments until everyone gets their health stuff figured out? It's an insanely rude waste of time. read more

Very happy with my windshield replacement by Proper Auto Glass. The owner, Nick, is VERY knowledgeable. I know, because I was quizzing him while he worked (he didn't seem to mind). He explained how important the windshield connection is (strength in an accident, potential for rust in places you can't see), all the ways it can go wrong, and what he does to make sure it's right. For example, he uses a special string-based tool to cut the old adhesive to avoid damaging the body with a saw or knife. He applies the adhesive bead to the glass rather than the vehicle to make sure it's applied perpendicularly. Etc. Very impressed. Price was excellent as well. In the past, we've used the default company on the Geico website for cracked windshields. (My wife's a pebble magnet.) This time though, they were having technical difficulties when I tried to schedule online. So I searched Yelp and found these guys (this guy?- it's a very small family business). I'm so glad I did. Nick answered the phone himself and scheduled me for a couple days later. Turns out, Geico's company channels all of Geico's glass claims, even the ones that go to other companies, and they were also having technical difficulties communicating with Proper Auto Glass. Nick called me a couple times to let me know what was happening and rescheduled me the same day he finally received the windshield. The install went super smoothly and was covered by insurance just the same. Talking to Nick afterwards, he told me he used to work for that other company.
