Tech brought rear deck window that was damaged, reordered and set an appointment date for the following week. Another tech worked on my vehicle, scratched the top part of the deck lid when he laid the rear spoiler on top of roof. After he left, I noticed that the window molding was damaged. I immediately called him and he did not answer. I called him several times and he never answered the calls. Called State Farm and someone from Safelite called me and said that they would fix the problem. It's been six weeks and nobody answers my calls. Worst customer service, I have used Safelite before with no problems. I will never use them again and I will warn others to beware. I will be filing a complaint with State Farm. read more

Worst fucking company. They tried to up charge me for "recalibration" by almost 500$ when I already paid for the whole service. Why would they wait and tell individuals that they suddenly need recalibration if it's standard for all installations? This is a predatory practice to extort customers and the customer support is no better. They are extremely rude. Are your technicians even trained! I'm certain that I won't be using this location ever again. The lack of concern shown by corporate was disgusting. I spent several days and hours calling in and being transferred around to multiple people and no one has given a satisfactory option to resolve this issue. The last person I spoke to was Maria from San Antonio who claimed to oversee the mobile unit here in Laredo. She was supposed to be escalating the situation and getting back to me weeks ago. It's crazy that what was once a reputable business is now full of scammers with no integrity and no concern for the safety of their customers. I should have left the little crack alone! Now I have to drive around with my family with this horribly damaged windshield. I had a 1-2 inch crack on my windshield from an object hitting it while I was driving. Safelite came to "fix it" but they made the whole thing much worse. When the technician finished he said I can come to your door for you to sign. I thought that was strange so I went out to see my windshield. The crack had spread about 4inches towards the bottom of my windshield and about 3 inches towards the top during the "repair". When I asked him what happened, he said sometimes the crack can spread when we work on a windshield but I assure you that it won't spread any further. Whether or not the crack spread more, the technician had already made the crack longer that the repairable length. Two days after my repair the crack doubled in length. Now today, a couple weeks later, the crack has tripled in length and extended across my whole windshield. I'm new to this area and the amount of vehicles I see with cracked windshields is astounding. I don't know if the roads are just that hazardous or if places like safelite are just scam artists and make problems worse in hopes that you will spend more money on a replacement windshield. The sad part is that I've used safelite a few times before and I've never had a problem. I had a prior repair done in November 2019 with no issues. When I called in before scheduling the repair, the representative on the phone said that if I have to replace the windshield due to the repair worsening, the cost of all the repairs I had done to the same windshield would be deducted from the replacement windshield cost. Well the repair became much worse and I called in again and they refused to honor what was promised. I know their calls are recorded for "quality assurance", so if anyone listened to the calls as they said they would, they would hear two different representatives on two different days telling me that the costs of the repair in November and my most recent repair last month would both be deducted from my replacement cost. However, no one got back to me as promised. No accountability! read more
