I've been taking my vehicle to the Grease Monkey on International and Loop 20 for years, and I've never felt as disappointed or upset as I do now. I went in for a simple oil change, and as usual, they asked if I wanted to replace the air filter and cabin filter. Nothing out of the ordinary--until I left. When I opened my glove box to put away my receipt, I was shocked. It looked like someone had been rummaging through it, as if they were searching for money or something to take. I have photos showing exactly how I found it. I called immediately, and the employee told me, "Well ma'am, sometimes they need to open your glove box to get to the cabin filter." I explained that this isn't the first time they've checked my filters, and never--not once--has my glove box been left in that condition. I felt completely violated. Thankfully, I didn't have anything valuable in there, but this experience has made me lose trust. From now on, I'll make sure to remove anything important before taking my car in for service. Tint was scratched after getting a basic interior cleaning. If you care about keeping your car nice and clean as my husband (with a bit of the tism) does, stay away from this place. We took a trip to Laredo and he immediately wanted to wash the road bugs/dirt off our vehicle. He went in to get an oil change for his truck that comes with a car wash, which he upgraded to a basic interior cleaning. He's pretty particular about keeping his car clean and immediately noticed as he was leaving that the tint on his windows was scratched. Trust that he keeps tabs on exactly what his truck looks like, so this was 100% done here. To be fair, I encouraged him to complain and he said there would be no way to prove it was done there as he didn't have before/after pics, so im not sure what actions would have been taken to correct the damage. So he took the L, but i figured I'd warn others who like to keep their things nice that you might end up having to pay for a new tint job. read more

Had my tint applied from a reputable and established company in SA that advised me what was "legal- tint". I decided to go to grease monkey for my inspection. While there I asked them to also administer recharge service for air conditioner. Waited for close to 3 hours when they finally call me to the cashier. I was advised that my car didn't pass inspection for window tint. I asked why they didn't advise me of this before any service was done. I would've had everything completed in SA. A complete waste of my time, inconvenience, and poor judgement/service by this establishment. Will advise by word of mouth about bad business/customer experience. I don't even trust that they did a good job on the service actually performed. Air conditioner feels the same. read more

Went for a cleaning due to my car being heavy soiled with dirt and dead bugs from the drive out of town. When I got to this place I was skeptical if they could give my car the TLC it needed. However, I proceeded to get the $27 full service cleaning treatment and it wasn't bad for the price. Although the service was not quick it was effective. My car was cleaned inside out and the car was shinning like new at the end. They also have vacuums and a cleaning station if you want to do it yourself but since I had my daughter with me, I let them do it. The do it yourself service will save you $12 because that's the cost of full service add on so if you can spare the time it's a good option. I would recommend this place. I used to love this place and with the first 2 bad experiences, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but the 3rd one was the final straw for me. Super slow and super rude customer services. No one seems to want to help no one knows anything and if you ask a question they just don't care. Guys if you would only have good customer service the slow part would be bearable, but to have the service ignore you and just flat not care when asking a question not co The customer service is the worst they seem to have a problem being patient and being able to give you information with out attitude. I am talking about the guy inside really didn't care to get his name, this morning super rude. Monkey you should really learn to hire people that what to work and that know how to deal with customers. It my fault for coming back this was the second time that I get the same guy super rude, but I have to say the work is great and the other people are extremely nice and do great job so I guess I have but up with the rudeness from the guy inside. Horrible service. It took 4 hours for my truck to be washed and "detailed". Just to find out when I picked up my truck it wasn't even detailed service as you can tell from the photos it has dirt all in the back side, door handles, and the rims. Horrible I don't recommend this place at all. Your better off doing it yourself. They didn't even offer a credit back for the wash. What a pity. read more

I went in for a new battery with the year make and model on hand I requested a battery for a Nissan maxima 2008 3.5L, as I was leaving my gut told me something wasn't right, I look at the invoice and told the clerk this is the incorrect battery she refused to swap out the battery because she stated that was the correct battery, i called the other grease monkey to verify and it was truly the incorrect battery, I put in a formal complaint about the female clerk up north when I spoke to the owner in the new location in front of the airport I told him I didn't have the sufficient funds due to the fact that his employee gave me a refund instead of paying the difference in the other location, He said to take the battery and pay for it later once the funds are in my accounts once again, it was a waste of time and energy the owner then promised me a car wash which I never got a voucher for and to top it off the clerk in the other location was going to give me the incortext battery once again, Overall the worst experience of my life not only could the battery they gave me could have burnt my car down or fried my system!!! DO NOT GO THERE ITS A BUNCH OF PEOPLE THAT DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING! read more

Interior and exterior wash for $45 sounded amazing compared to the prices anywhere in SA but they took 4 hours to get it done and it was a mid job. Door jams weren't cleaned, stains (bugs, scuffs, etc) we're left on different parts of the car, tires and wheels didn't look the best. To be fair it was a Friday afternoon but none the less if it took 4 hours to get it done the least you could do is clean the door jams ‍. Would recommend the interior cleaning for getting rid of pet hair and general touch ups to interior but can't speak for stains or the exterior wash. I have been a loyal customer of Grease Monkey for over three years now, and I can confidently say that it is the best car wash facility I have ever come across. This establishment has consistently provided me with exceptional service and attention to detail, making each visit a truly satisfying experience. I have never had problems with this establishment and they always seem to exceed expectations. From the people in the back helping you choose which wash you would like or the people in the front that dry your car. There is one worker though, named Agustin who always seems to be in the back while I take my car for my weekly wash, and let me tell you Agustin loves his job. He is always very polite and helpful and goes above and beyond by spraying and pre washing the car to make sure it comes out good. Avoid this place if you don't want your car to get screwed up!! A couple days ago I dropped off my car for an oil change and one of their mechanics messed my car up. After two days of waiting, they finally told me I could pick my car up and the oil started to leak that same night. I went back and they told me it would take 5 hours to fix, yet called me again saying it would be another day before I could pick it up. Not only is this ridiculously unprofessional, but I am from out of town and have not been able to go to work because their mechanics are unskilled, unexperienced, and liars. The young men who serviced and cleaned my car inside and out did an excellent job. I'm pleased with that aspect of my experience. When I arrived for an oil change and "top banana" car wash I was told it would take an hour and a half to an hour and forty-five minutes. I was fine with the estimate provided and agreed to wait for my service to be completed. The actual time was two hours. Even that was acceptable to me. When it was time to pay I could not do so because the "system was updating." This at 1:30 PM on a busy Tuesday afternoon. I wasn't allowed to pay by check Because the manager was unable to figure the total with tax without his "system." So I waited until 1:59 PM when the "system" was working again. The wait was excessive and the manager made no effort to resolve the issue so I could leave. There was no offer of a discount or free car wash coupon to compensate me for the extra 30 minutes o had to spend waiting. So my 90-105 minute service turned into a 150 minutes of my day stuck in their waiting room. read more
