Worst service I've ever experienced, not to mention shoddy workmanship. Simple windshield replacement for a Honda sedan, had to be performed in the shop because it had to be re-calibrated after install. First appointment I was blown off by the tech doing the work. Waited at the shop for over 30 minutes before getting notice that he decided to return to Portland. I had this appointment scheduled weeks in advance due to my busy schedule. Technician #2 replaced the windshield but used wrong clips, broke mirror cover, and other clips broke because they were defective and was left with a very noisy ride. Windshield continuously popped and creaked once I got on the road. Thought the adhesive needed time to cure but problem didn't go away. Before all of this, the vehicle was very quiet, all you could hear was the normal road noise. I called back, had to go through warranty services now, was assigned Pablo. We had to do a ride along to confirm noises were from windshield before we could schedule another appointment to have it 'fixed'. He was deafer than a doornail and couldn't hear anything but did confirm the broken mirror cover. He said he'd order one from factory and call me when that came in to get the windshield reinstalled. Weeks went by with no communication and when I called in, they said the claim was closed, said windshield was fine and there were no issues. I called BS on that and asked to speak with regional manager, Coral, who refuses to answer her phone, let alone return a call. She needs to be fired along with Pablo. I was sent Jr. manager Jeremy, who was very eager to win back my business. After yet another ride along he confirmed the noises, actually ordered the mirror cover (which had the broken clips still inside them). He also observed the shoddy install with the wrong clips, replacing them and other ones that had broken. He performed a bunch of other tests to make sure it was sealed properly, which it was. The ride home was quiet.....at least for ten miles. The noise returned and I recorded the audio. I contacted Jeremy, explained the noise was back and sent him the audio clip. He said he could faintly hear the popping and would like to schedule yet another appointment to confirm and reinstall the windshield. I have a long message history of Jeremy promising to finally do a mobile visit to my place of work to reinstall the windshield and clips so I didn't have to waste even more time at the shop. He said he'd even bring a spare windshield just in case he broke the one on there when we pulled it off. Two days before the appointment he directed me to go to the local Honda dealership to see if they could tell me where the noise was coming from and if this was a known issue with the vehicle. I thought this was strange but called the dealership nonetheless but was told they'd charge $185/hr. for any diagnosis performed. They also informed me that there was nothing special or particularly unusual about replacing these kinds of windshields. I called Jeremy back, informed him that unless they were paying for this service, it wasn't going to happen. Later that day I received a standard message from his company that the warranty repair was complete and there were no issues with the original install. He no longer took my calls or responded to my messages. Calls to Coral remain unanswered an nobody is being accountable for this horrible install. As of now, I'm left with a ruined vehicle in that the windshield constantly makes popping/creaking noises, which will only get remedied once they reinstall the windshield properly with all the correct fasteners. Can't tell you how pissed off I am. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I've had 5 windshields replaced and I've NEVER had ANY issues with them. Zero noise, zero defects, nothing!!! I've asked for a refund and will be pursuing legal action on this. By far the worst customer service in standing by your company's product and services. Never been lied to my face like this before, then they double-down. Bunch of crooks, hope they go out of business. If you're an auto-body shop that uses these clowns, know that they're tarnishing YOUR reputation as well. You need to find someone else to contract with before it's too late!!!! Original install took place mid-January and now it's end of May and there is no resolution in sight. read more

Just because the insurance company makes it easy to use safelite, you don't have to use it! Shop around. It took me like 15 min to find wuality work elsewhere. The customer service goes a long way, and this place is lacking that. What the heck happened to being polite. How is it that these gals behind the desk can have so much negative attitude. I'm over rudeness, I'll go to a shop out of town to be treated with respect. Like, it takes nothing to be nice. I booked my appointment through USAA. I arrived for my appointment and Alex assisted me within a couple minutes. He explained the process and length of time it would take. He kept me updated throughout the process and even called to let me know that he was about 10 minutes away from completion so I could walk back from the coffee shop. He was very thoughtful. He then covered all the details about the importance of care for the windshield over the first 48 hours. they've messed up every step of the way. I have a Toyota crown signia, and they keep having my vehicle as a Camry. they have 2 work orders even though I filed only 1. I can't seem to get ahold of anyone at this branch and i cant leave a message because they don't have a voicemail system set up. They were supposed to come today but said I had to pay even though my insurance said they will cover the entire cost and my account status on the safelite website said I have a $0.00 deductible. they're incompetent. never going to through them ever again. read more

I brought my 2019 Subaru Ascent to this shop as it is a GEICO partner. They took an hour to even start after my appointment time and called me saying they couldn't replace and calibrate the windshield due to error codes related to the eyesite system. They said I would have to get this addressed with Subaru, and GEICO agreed. By the way the technician at the shop could not have been more unhelpful or uncaring. So I took it 5 minutes down the road to Capital Subaru where the service manager himself hooked up a computer and cleared what he said were old codes. I took it back to Safelite where they waited another hour to address my vehicle. Sure enough they claimed the codes popped up and would not work on it. Subaru says the shop can replace the windshield and have the dealership calibrate. However my guess is Safelite doesn't want to pay for this and admit they don't know how to service my vehicle. I don't think they even attempted to call Capital Subaru. I took time off work, had to get someone to pick up my kindergartner, and still have a vehicle with unsafe damage to the windshield (literally glass shards on the dashboard). Please avoid this business at all costs. -In response to Safelite's response: I took the vehicle to Capital Subaru who cleared the codes. Then I brought the vehicle back to Safelite. They waited on it and then proceeded to tell me they could not fix the windshield due to codes. So what they are saying is simply not true. Here is the truth and what I found out from another shop in Salem: Safelite could have easily fixed the windshield and if they could not calibrate, sent it to Capital for the calibration. It would have been processed all under my GEICO claim. Capital confirmed this. The shop's manager used to work for Safelite and said they did this until Safelite management decided to do all calibration under their roof to pocket that money. I don't blame Safelite for having policies that maximize their profits. I have a problem when Safelite does this at a customer's inconvenience and wastes a whole day of my time. Taking a day off work and arranging a pick up and childcare for my kids is not easy. Safelite should be ashamed and this location in particular really should not be in business. read more

Safelite was supposed to show up today to replace my windshield. My response window was 8:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. I received no contact from them, other than from their automated system. At Noon, I called the number given in the text, and when they tried to contact the technician and also the office, they received no response. The woman on the phone gave me the number of the local replacement shop. The first time I called no one answered. The second time I called, somebody picked up the call. I was given the excuse that nobody had called me because the technician had had his phone stolen and he was using his personal phone. That's not an excuse. I was also given the tentative excuse of "he always calls his appointments in the morning". To be honest, I cut that off pretty shortly and stated, as it was a cell phone, all incoming and outgoing calls are recorded and I had no call from the technician. When the technician finally did call me almost a half an hour later, I was told he would not arrive until 3:00 at the latest. Needless to say, I canceled the appointment. I can deal with schedules sliding. I understand that sometimes things happen, but in this technological age, there is no excuse for complete and total lack of communication on the part of the technician and also on the part of Safelite in general. As soon as something started going wrong, the following appointments should have been notified immediately. That was not done. I will never use this company. read more

Made a mobile appointment with them, they never showed up. The office did call 15 minutes past the appointment to tell me that the installer couldn't make it. The office said they would call me first thing in the morning to find another time slot, I had to call them at 2:30 in the afternoon. when I did call they had no clue about my situation until we revisited the whole scenario. Broken windshield and replacement glass doesn't fit fully. First safelite ordered the wrong window. Then they installed the 2nd window improperly and window did not fit. Then they replaced that window and it still does not fully fit. The gaps on the sides are too wide and gap at the top of the windshield is too wide. Glass does not match original GM windshield. read more

*** UPDATE I was able to get all the glass off when I went to a self serve industrial vacuum, so it wasn't too difficult. One of the people also replied w/an apology & offered to re-inspect it for glass & proper installation. Because of this, I'm going to change my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars . Edit: It took some effort, but I was able to get a hold of them. The situation has been a big hassle but it sounds like they want to make it right. I'll update my rating once it's all said and done. Original Review: The technician didn't reassemble my car. The hood wouldn't close, because trim bolts were left out and were in the way. The tech lost a wiper bolt and replaced it with one that was the wrong size. The trim was set into place but not assembled, and as best I can tell it cannot fit correctly because of how the glass was installed. They charged me for new wiper blades but did not provide them. read more

Worst service ever! Do not go to this location. Brought my vehicle in the first time in October to get my windshield replaced. Received a call that my car was ready for pickup a few hours later. Once I arrived, they told me they weren't able to calibrate the front camera and blamed it on the new windshield they had just installed. They said they'd have to order another windshield. Returned in November for 2nd windshield install. With 5:00pm rapidly approaching and no word on my vehicle I started trying to contact this location for an update. The phone number listed for them is a call center, not a number that actually rings into the location. I did not want to inconvenience my ride again, so I really wanted an update. The call center lady gave me their direct number. Still no answer and no answering machine either. I called the call center back and asked them to try the office again. After several attempts on behalf of the call center they were finally able to get through. The call center person told me that she spoke with the lady who answered the phone (the front desk gal) who told the call center person they didn't want to talk to me and wouldn't take my call. I knew then it was bad news. I was forced to return with no updates. Was I surprised that once again they were unable to calibrate my front camera, nope. I waited an additional half hour while they worked on it. Left with yet another windshield and no calibration. Now they are telling me I need to take it to the dealer to get it calibrated at my expense (dealer cost $350). Even funnier was the "reminder" email I just received reminding me how important my safety is to them and that any Safelite office could take care of my calibration. Well, from first-hand experience I now know that this in completely inaccurate as they CAN'T calibrate my camera. If you have a front camera on your vehicle and need your windshield replaced....RUN, don't walk, to another location. This location needs serious training on how to provide decent customer service. They just suck, lies and excuses, they made me cancel all my activities for Tuesday so they could show up between 8 am and 5 PM to change my windshield. They called mid morning and told me they were not coming. They tried to set up another full day appointment and I told them no that I would cancel my insurance if they did that again and then they found time on Thursday to do it and set the appointment for between noon and 3PM which I accepted. While I was taking care of appointments this morning the installer called and wanted to arrive between noon and 5 PM. Told him no that was not the deal so he shows up a half hour late which made me late for a vet appointment to get insulin and had to call them to wait for me which thankfully they did. Told my insurance company if I had to deal with safelite again I was canceling all my policies! This appear to be an empty apologies from this company. PLEASE read all of the reviews before selecting this company to perform a glass repair. read more

Was referred to Safelite from my insurance company. My technician, Brian, showed up on time and efficiently replaced my windshield within about an hour. He gave me some reminders about not pressure washing the car for 24 hours and after collecting the fee, was on his way. Only thing that could have been better was a bit more care in cleaning the debris off the dash and a final check on the cleanliness of the windshield. Overall, though, I am highly satisfied. read more

Said window had to be replaced not fixed. 3rd showed up. 3 hours late and it started raining. If he would have shown up on time it would be done. I have had a horrible experience with this Keizer Safelite...it has been a month now since they have installed my windshield on my vehicle. They put the wrong windshield and moldings on my Land Rover..they tried to put after market parts that did not fit properly.I have tried numerous times trying to get this resolved through management at this location..my windshield has an air leak now and when I am on the highway it sounds like a swarm of bees! I am so frustrated at this point! Management has down right lied to myself and my husband that they would fix it and they keep making excuses..I have never ever seen such unprofessional people in my life! Long story short, this company broke a part on the car and ended up lying to the customer about having ordered the replacement part. After two attempts to replace my windshield with after market glass and being unable to recalibrate my eye-sight on my Subaru, I have transferred my claim elsewhere. It wasn't the work (or lack of) that was the main issue- it was the "I'm not sure what to tell you" and "We have only been unable to recalibrate one other car" attitude and no real attempt to make things right without making me feel like I was the reason they couldn't get it to work that has sent me elsewhere. Interesting too that the place I went was able to do the work correctly the first time for less money. Safelite will never have my business again, even if it is preferred by my insurance. read more

I had called the toll-free number to make an appointment for a windshield replacement before we left on a lengthy road trip. I was given a date and time at the Eugene facility and received a confirmation text. We drove for over 2 hours to the appointment only to be told that they didn't have an appointment for us, and they didn't have the windshield in stock. Ash Nickel, the manager of both stores went above and beyond to make it right. He located a windshield, got it to the Keizer facility, and had it installed the same day. I explained that they knew it need to be done before the appointment was made. The called me back told me they would be able to do it and would see me by 5pm called at 6 and they need to reschedule. This is the way all businesses should operate. A jerk broke a window on my car last night to steal stuff out of my car. I called my insurance (AMICA) and they gave me a same day appointment for this location for the glass repair. In two hours I was sitting in the Safelite shop being plied with cookies, candy and beverages. Despite the fact that I was 15 minutes late they all assured me it was no problem. They had the correct window with appropriate tinting, they vacuumed out my entire car and had my new window properly installed in under 45 minutes. They were cordial, informative and gave me all the "poor baby" sympathy I needed. They billed my insurance directly and even cleaned all of my windows AND gave me a free can of spray window cleaner to take home with me. Their warranty is amazing, btw. When they replaced my windshield after a rock hit it on the way home from the dealership - the day I bought the new Subaru, they failed to connect the windshield wipers. After 2 hours on the phone with Safelite Call Center being transferred, I got approval for them to correct the problem. Which they did - now 3 weeks later we had a heavy rain and the entire passenger side interior of the brand new car is flooded. My agent is calling Safelite and I am calling my attorney. If you want your car ruined - definitely go to Safelite! And let me add condescending. As Enterprise is picking me up to get a rental car, "Ash" tells me to have a nice day. read more
