Cracked cowling while repl windshield and used misc spare pins to reinstall. Problem was noticed while charging battery several months later. Notified shop and they agreed pins may have been used and was insulted that they were accused say it was cut by someone. Instead of helping and possibly fixing problem they just hung up. read more

Dangerously disappointed that I had to change my 5 star rating to a one star review. I'm considering deep-pocket litigation due to Your company leaving me in a Dangerously vulnerable situation last night! I thought Kawena did terrific work fixing my broken auto glass but why didn't they CLEAN it 1st! He nevah, mention: "Becareful Uncle, da windshield stay filthy, eh"? So I drive off about 4:45, and I notice the glass has coffee-like light brown oily stains on the front windshield, obstructing my vision! Auwe'! So I go to Texaco after making my stop for medication bc I was stuck home for one week, due I no can drive with Dakin broken glass. So I notice it's on the inside too after using the squeegee to clean the outside glass, with my disabled arm I had to clean the curvature of the inside too! It was greasy and brown and was one difficult residue to remove! By this time it's getting dark! I almost tipped the guy $20 for getting the job done without rescheduling, but he left the bulk of the clean up to me and my bum arm! It was hard to clean, with my weak right arm and even more difficult to see driving home because I couldn't do a very good job with the squeegee INSIDE the car! Auwe '! 1 star is "too good" considering you guys nevah wen clean da glass! You should truly consider SAFETY of the driver especially since your 1st name is SAFE! Dangerous drive home! Incompetent and Unprofessional! First, I waited 2 weeks for an appointment. On the day of the appointment, I get a call 4 hours later from the tech saying they ordered the glass without the molding, and so he can't do the job until that comes in. Oh, but I have to wait another two weeks for an appointment! He also was trying to lay the blame on my insurance company which was BS. I know for a fact that the claim went straight to Safelite. No accountability there, straight up Incompetent! What gets me is how the tech contacts me halfway through the supposed appointment to tell me that!? Then to wait another 2 weeks on top of that, which would be a whole damn month!?!?! Nope, that's not gonna happen! I cancelled their sorry asses and went with someone else. In fact, it took only took 4 business days for the other company to order and install my glass. 4 BUSINESS DAYS!!!!! 4!!!!! WTF!!! read more

SafeLite lists a physical location in Hilo, Hawaii which is my main residence. However, there is no office and no local telephone listing at this location. The location is only garage space for the two SafeLite vans. There was no way I could talk to a local employee, probably one of two. I placed a note on the van that was not in use, but no one ever replied. Also, the earliest date offered for essential window installation (the previous window having been smashed in--was 25 days after the damage occurred. I cancelled my reservation. SafeLite might be a good option in cities that have an actual physical location. It is not a good option for the east part of the Island of Hawaii read more

The worst experience ever, went for a glass repair due to a small chip in the windshield, the "repair" guy cracked it even more! And I have no choice but to replace the entire windshield. So now my bill went from $200 to over 1,500! What a scam, it's like they did it on purpose just to make more money. My windshield had a chip, so I thought I needed a new one to put on the barge, as they will not ship with a cracked windshield! When they arrived I was informed I didn't need a new windshield and they would fix the chip for free! As a single mom with three kids this was a true blessing! Saved me hundreds of dollars! The van came right to my house! The technician was very professional, courteous and friendly. He worked quickly and the work was of good quality. He was also very knowledgeable about his field and gave clear, easy to follow instructions on what to do after the job was completed (when to remove the tape, when the vehicle was safe to drive and such). Overall I am very satisfied with the services rendered. I hope I don't get another broken window anytime soon, but if I do I won't hesitate to call Safelite Autoglass! read more
