The worst experience I've ever had. This company rescheduled my appointment four times. On the last attempt, they promised to arrive at my home by 8:00 AM--only for me to later find out that was never possible, as they're based in a completely different city. I rearranged my entire workday and personal schedule for nothing. To make matters worse, their customer service was completely unhelpful and only added to the frustration. But the worst part? During their visit, they damaged the heads up of my Land Rover, and now they're refusing to take any responsibility for the damage caused. I'm currently in the process of pursuing legal action. I took my car in to get a new windshield. After about 30 minutes I showed back up to see if I could grab something out of the car and they said they wouldn't be able to replace the glass because some sensors needed maintenance on the car. I tried to inquire further, but the dude kept saying he would have to go get someone and never did (I asked him 3 times before I finally just said fuck it and left). We took the car to the dealership and they told us that nothing was wrong and that Safelite does this all of the time. Too bad their jingle's so catchy. read more

Bruce was FABULOUS!!!! My windsheild ended up being a 2 days event because what I thought was a possible repair ended up needing to be a full replacement. The first day Bruce arrived he immediately recognized the type of damage on my windshield and we spent time together discussing my options and why a replacement was a much better idea than a repair that would make it "look" better, but not be an actual "fix". We scheduled the full replacement for the next day and he arrived, was very professional and had my windsheild done and ready FAST! He used every safety precaution to protect my vehicle, he was careful and also cleaned every window on my vehicle when he was finished because he didnt want just the one to be clean looking, he wanted to make sure they all were! This would be a one-star review but ultimately Safelite agreed to cover my deductible thanks to my insurance agent thus I bumped them one star (much like another reviewer on this page). From the time I made my appointment to the time I actually got my windshield replaced almost 9 weeks passed. During that time I spoke with several employees/managers at the Nashville office (who initially filed my claim), several from the Bowling Green office (who scheduled all of my appointments and ultimately did the work) and the national number. There appeared to be no communication between any of the branches of Safelite as what I was often told at one was never kept track of at the other. I initially scheduled an appointment to replace my glass on a day two weeks from the time I made my appointment. The technician was to arrive during a four-hour window so I arranged to be at my home to meet them and get the work done. That morning I received an email confirming my appointment stating a tech (and it gave his name and photo so I would "know who to expect") would arrive at my home between 8am and 12 noon but that I'd get a text alert when he was en route. At 12:15 pm with no sign of a technician and no text alert to state he was on his way I called the safelite number given in the email confirmation only to be rerouted several times until I was talking with a Bowling Green employee who said he wasn't sure if my part was in the warehouse or not but that he assumed it was and that he'd check and get it out to me by the end of the day---they never showed. I spent the next several weeks rescheduling. Each week my appointment time would arrive, I would get an email confirmation and then a no-show. I started calling the night before each appointment to see if I was "really" on the schedule and was always told "I presume so". Eventually I found out that my part was taking time to arrive but that because "a new warehouse manager" was on the job there had been some disorganization and my part was actually on backorder. It then arrived and though they missed my appointment time again they called late in the day that day to say it was in their possession and they were on the way. They later called to say the part was broken. So I waited another month while the part was ordered again. However I was still making appointments and was being told they would have the glass in---but I was never given a call to tell me my part wasn't available so I spent more than 9 days over the course of 2 months waiting for 4 hours for my tech to arrive. The emails got vaguer. I was never called by a manager or customer service agent. I understand my glass is not super common and it isn't their fault if it took time for it to arrive or that it arrived broken at first. But no one ever explained to me that they were not coming for a scheduled appointment. They generated appointments at times I couldn't meet them. Ultimately it was my insurance agent who persisted to get me an answer. The day I finally got the glass replaced the technician arrived, did his job well, and was on his way and in that regard I have absolutely no complaints. I've dealt with Safelite in other states before with no problems but this time was a nightmare. I ultimately give the actual technician who did the job 5 stars as I have no complaints but customer service and management in this area (at least for me) was less than a star. Thanks to the deduction waiver and the actual work I bumped my review to 2 stars. If they'd only made an effort to expedite my glass, call to speak with me directly and explain the situation, etc. I wouldn't fault them---I hope that if the windshield was completely caved in they would have offered a loaner since it was taking so long. Safelite's main selling point is that they are "convenient" so when they are not they have little to sell themselves on. With partnerships with insurance groups sometimes they are your only approved source so that can lead to a lack of care and customer service. read more

I called for an appointment and was told between 8am and 4pm. I agreed, but actually I find that to be a poorly managed system. I waited at home all day and the tech arrived at 4:20pm. He did a fine job, but the wait was not worth it and it isreflected in my rating. In today's tech world you have scheduling systems, logistic programs and even algorithms that can figure out queue times. Use them. Your customers should not have to sacrifice an entire day because it is convenient for you. read more

Service was great except when the electrical components were reconnected, the service tech didnt hook my windshield washer back up and now my windshield washer wont work. Pretty disappointed. Outside of that, the service was great, on time and had the work done when they said they would and beat the incoming rain. Just wish there would have been more attention to hooking up the windshield washer system. Maybe someone will read this and schedule this to be fixed. read more

My poor experience with this business is much bigger than this specific location. The folks at this location are very friendly but Safelite's customer service process is horrendous. I booked an appt for a new windshield two months ago, appt was cancelled through text with no explanation. I found out the glass hadn't come in but I'd be notified when it did to reschedule. I never got follow up when the glass arrived as I was promised. I had tried calling multiple times but couldn't get transferred to an actual human being or the specific location to book an appointment. I had to go to the physical location in person only to find out the glass came in weeks ago. Really disappointing experience and if there were ANY other options, I wouldn't have used this company. Bowling green KY location is horrible. Dropped car off at 11am And told it Will take 3 hours, after 5 hours its not even being worked on. Supposably it takes 2 shop workers to replace Glass, And they Only have 1 shop worker. So Unprofessional, And rude. Take your car And money anywhere else. Horrible service! read more

They were absolutely fantastic! Dwayne called ahead to let me know an estimated time of arrival for the day and was spot on for the time. All I had to do was unlock my car from inside of where I work. They were fast and efficient. Only took about an hour for them to complete the job. I had the safelite store on cowan street in Nashville, TN, replace my windshield on my Toyota Tundra in September of 2015. When they finished, there was debris on my dashboard, seats, floorboard, the trim molding on the right front side of the windshield was broken and another piece of molding was missing. Worse, the next time it rained my radio quit working and I noticed water dripping into the cabin from under the dash. This was the beginning of a 21 month ordeal to get safelite to fix the damage they did to my Tundra. During this time, I returned to the Nashville and Bowling Green safelite stores five separate times without my problems being corrected. On my way up the safelite ladder I spoke to Jonathan Martin, (store manager - Nashville), Michael Kemp (quality manager -Nashville), Troy Perry (store manager - Bowling Green), and shawn trulock (acting operations manager - Nashville/Bowling Green). In June, 2017, I paid a Toyota of Bowling Green to see if they could determine the source of the leak. within an hour, the technician reported that whoever replaced the windshield had not reinstalled any of the (8) cowl drain caps, nor did they replace the missing trim molding. the technician also pointed out that safelite's "technician" had drilled out the holes in the plastic louver sub assembly to be bigger and replaced toyota's fasteners with ordinary sheet metal screws. It was this hack job that caused rain water to drain into the air box and overflow into the passenger cabin! By then I had spent ten hours in various safelite waiting rooms and countless hours calling my way up safelite's management ladder trying to get them to take responsibility for and repair the damage. ultimately, i sent a certified letter laying out all the above and much more detail to Thomas Feeney, the president and ceo of safelite. Within a few days, Mr. Feeney's assistant called me. I told her that I would not accept another attempt by safelite to repair my Tundra, that they had made it abundantly clear that they were not only unable to properly install a new windshield in my tundra, but were even less qualified, if that is possible, to repair their damage to my tundra. They agreed to pay an independent company to replace the windshield; to reimburse me for the drowned radio and one speaker; and to pay for a toyota dealer to replace the damaged and missing parts. This started out as a well deserved one-star review for work utterly lacking any degree of competence and for safelite's refusal to take responsibility for causing my water leak. I raised it because once I paid for a toyota dealer to diagnose the problems, they admitted responsibility. Once I reached the president's level, safelite stepped up to the plate and finally agreed to pay an independent glass shop to properly install a new windshield. the fact that getting them to agree to the above took 21 months and countless hours of my work limits the increase to one star = two stars. read more

I thought my repair would be right outside my work and had little to no gas left in my gas tank but it started to rain, so I ran and got them some cash in order to put enough to get him to and from my work to the shop on Scottsville Rd. I received my car back with a little under half a tank which was way more than the amount of money I gave them. They didn't want to be repayed so I had to write a great review for them. Made my appointment within minutes with a confirmation shortly after. Next day installment was completed by Robert J. And he was absolutely phenomenal! Poor workmanship, and attention to detail. They put 3 dents in my front fender which they denied and I found scratches in the paint where the trim was removed. I took it to a reputable body shop and they said the dents were new and consistent with damage done while removing and installing a new windshield. The paintless dent removal service I use said the same thing. Cost $100 out of pocket to fix the dents and leason well learned not to use safelite. I had heard plenty of horror stories but took a chance. Obviously accountability is poor and they lack trained reputable honest technicians. read more

If you can go to Nashville to get your windshield repaired, I would recommend that. After my windscreen was damaged, I called my Insurance company, and they set up an appointment for me. However when I arrived for the aforementioned appointment, I discovered that the business was closed. The manager had sent everyone home and closed up early due to a slow day, they did not however turn off the appointments computer, which allowed my Insurance company to schedule me. Discovering that involved calling the Safelite national office by the way. In recompense I was given the first appointment of the next business day, which was Monday, and they weren't open for that one either. They showed up fifteen minutes late as I was about to leave, with the excuse that they had stopped to get donuts for me. In the end they did a competent job on the repair, but what should have been a forty five minute job took three hours of my time stretched over two days. read more

I agree with the other poster, avoid BG if you can. They replaced my windshield (insurance referred me to them) but they forgot to put a part back on my wiper, which caused my wiper to scrape against the glass. They came back out to look at it, and said they would order the part and install it. It took multiple calls from me to see if the part was in, then to schedule an appt to have it installed, even though they said multiple times that someone would reach out to me.
