NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! If I could give zero stars I would. My 2011 Jeep Liberty was broken into on January 2rd. On January 4th I had Safelite come out to replace the window (rear passenger). A job that should have taken an hour or two, tops, took three hours, and all it resulted in was him knocking on my door to tell me he had accidentally snapped my door panel in half and he couldn't replace the window because my window regular was broken. (He assured me safelite would replace the door panel, but I was on my own with the regulator since it was "already broken" when they arrived). I didn't make a big stink about it, so I just brought it to the dealership and paid THREE HUNDRED dollars for a new regulator. Then called safelite, told them it was repaired, and that I was ready for my window and new door panel to be installed. So they come out and FORGET THE GLASS FOR MY WINDOW, so we had to reschedule. Then came out again a few days later and told me that my regulator was never repaired. Thats absolutely ridiculous seeing as I just paid 300 for a new one. So I said screw safelite and took it to a different window company. The new window company informed me what had been going on with my regulator all along. With my particular car, you are not supposed to try and operate the regulator without the glass installed. It will damage it. Obviously I wouldn't know that, but I figured Satellite should know since they do this for a living and the woman on the telephone when i scheduled my initial appointment told me they had worked on 400 Jeep Liberty's in my area in the past year. The new glass company then informed me it is likely my ORIGINAL regulator was never damaged at all, and that safelite was just not experienced with my kind of car and broke it themselves by operating it when they shouldn't have. I am obviously 100% sure they broke the 2nd one because I just had that one installed. Long story short I am $1000 in the hole thanks to safelite, including two new regulators, glass instal, and labor for the new glass company, AND THEY HAVE NOT REPLACED THE DOOR PANEL THEY SNAPPED YET.
They will be hearing from my lawyer. It is now January 25th, and after 4 trips to satellite, two to my dealership, and one to the new glass company, my car is worse off than it was before I ever called satellite. (and my window is still not in my car) read more
