We were experiencing an issue where half our house was losing power. We already had another…read moreelectrician out a few weeks prior, and 3 days and 1k later, the problem still existed. That's when we called Unity. Brian was out the same day. I regret not making them my first choice. They are transparent about pricing, keep you updated as the project goes along, and just overall very professional. Brian has about 20 years of experience and it shows. He was in and out of our house so fast. Even though the job was a bit more complicated, his expertise shinned. What took the other person (literally) 3 days, took Brian a total of 3 hours. He was intentionally trying to find ways to save me money on labor, which made me trust him. The company and Brian exhibit good character and integrity. This is now my go to company and Electrcian. Finding a reliable tradesman/company isn't always easy, and I'm thrilled to have found one.

I needed my panel reviewed and reworked because the plumber had told me my water heater was not on its own circuit and that concerned me. Brian came over for a consultation and I showed him around and all my concerns and how it would be nice to have more lighting in the kitchen since the condo is so dark and the kitchen is in the middle of the unit not near any windows. Brian and his apprentice were punctual, and they only took 2 days to do all the work that was needed. Brian is a gem of a human being, kind, patient, and very well educated. You can tell he knows his stuff and that he enjoys the work. Much to the chagrin of the spiders under the crawl space. Our crawl space is not the easiest to get to but instead of complaining both Brian and Wes treated it like an adventure and I appreciated that that attitude because I felt really bad anytime one of them had to go down there. Brian is our forever electrician now, anything we need in future we will be calling him/Unity first. The work is solid, my kitchen is the brightest it has ever been and I have so much real-estate on my counters now because I can see it's crazy! We won't live in this condo forever but I'm so happy it will be all set for the next owner to enjoy a kitchen they can see in, and an electric panel that won't harm them or their appliances. Can't sing Brian's praises enough. Thank you thank you thank you. I'm a happy camper in my tiny little condo with lots of light in her kitchen now. Thanks again!

Prairie Electric sent 2 guys to my home for a tripped breaker that would not reset. The 1st guy…read morewas professional the 2nd guy, a bit younger, never once gave me eye contact; PROBLEM started there. My crawl space light was NOT illuminated when they arrived, crawl space light WAS illuminated when they left. And the guy informed me " the fan is working, you don't have to worry about light! THE SAME STATEMENT WAS MADE BY "Dan", when I phoned to discuss this issue!!! I am a very meticulous African American Woman and I DO NOT run my household in such a manner. If the light is NOT to be on, I will ensure it is NOT on, by ensuring repaired properly! I will get this issue resolved by a company that treats me as fairly as they take my money!!!!! Reason given was one of the fans MAY need replacing (previously informed FAN is working nothing to worry about); which is it FAN WORKING OR NOT!!!!! Illuminated light indicates FAN NOT WORKING!!!!! I was informed they would have to come back to replace (did not have part on truck) and I WOULD have to pay ANOTHER $260, service call fee! NOT IN THIS LIFETIME!!!! Issue was diagnosed by tech on site, lite came on as a result of technician performing other task! I should have been informed they would go get the part and come back and replace! I felt, if my skin had been a different pigmentation, I would have been given the option that was given to another reviewer "they ran and got my part immediately" (likely WAS NOT my ethnicity)! I do not feel this company is DIVERSITY FRIENDLY!!! THEY WILL TAKE AN AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMAN'S GREEN MONEY, HOWEVER, WILL NOT GIVE FAIR TREATMENT!!!!! I hope this review is helpful for Homeowners of Color! I will NEVER patronize this unethical company again! I EXPECT TO BE TREATED FAIRLY AND WILL NOT PATRONIZE A BUSINESS WHO DOES NOT!!!!!
