I am writing this review to express my disappointment in the way that my roof replacement project was handled. I chose Safeguard Impact Windows, Doors & Roofing, based on the in-home presentation on Tuesday January 14, 2025 [John & Michele] and the online reviews. I signed a contract on Monday February 17, 2025 and made a $13,750.00 down payment, I was even able to get the HOA documents reviewed and "Approved" in one day and Submitted to Safeguard on Wednesday February 26, 2025.everything went downhill after that. Monday March 10, 2025 roof replacement application for Permit has been denied due to obstructed notary stamps and requires restamping and resubmission SafeGuard Impact Windows, Doors and Roofing was grossly negligent in the handling of my reroofing project. The project has resulted in extensive construction defects, property damage, and multiple breaches of contract. On April 8, 2025, Safeguard Impact Windows, Doors & Roofing's crew began demolition late in the morning. I was impressed with the efforts to protect my property, which is what I was promised. My pool was covered. Landscaping was covered, my walkway and driveway was covered, plywood was placed in front of my garage door to protect it, my Air Conditioning Condenser unit, pool pump and filter was covered with plywood. However, that same afternoon, rain penetrated exposed plywood, soaking the insulation in the attic and causing water damage to the ceilings in the formal living room and my guest bedroom. A subsequent attempt to conceal the damage with paint led to further harm to light fixtures, plants, and my drapery. Despite creating an environment for the growth of mold, Safeguard Impact Windows, Doors & Roofing n interest checking the attic and ignored and failed to address the concerns for the hazard that mold can pose. April 9th Demolition of the roof continued. However, there was no protection as the tarps were used to cover the roof. For the remainder of the project debris were falling everywhere and the construction Manager was always absent, unless the inspector was coming out or he had to bring supplies. Wednesday April 23, 2025 failed Inspection Status: Failed: Re-inspection req. (no fee) Comments: No ladder on site. Provide all new "L" and counter flashings. Need pics of tear off / roof deck. Thursday April 24, 2025 Status: Failed: Re-inspection req. (1st disapproval fee) Comments: Same as previous inspection: All flashings shall be replaced with new. Thursday May 15, 2025 Safeguard Impact Windows & Doors is requesting payment of $11,000.00 by June 2, 2025 for Invoice 2799.1, and you should review and pay it accordingly. Additional issues include: * Destruction of the dryer vent and inadequate covering, creating pest and moisture risks. * Incomplete replacement of rotted soffit. * Cracked Stucco during the installation of the "Facia Board". And they left the "Rotted Soffit" because they knew that the cracked stucco would fall off and they did not want to fix it. * Debris--including nails and broken tiles--left around the property and fell into the unprotected pool, resulting in unsightly rust stains. * Driveway collapse due to prolonged placement of seven pallets of roofing tiles. * Damage to landscaping and lights, cracked stucco, and gaps around fascia boards. * Repeated inspection failures due to refusal to replace old flashing, resulting in fines, which they paid. Despite the incomplete status of the project, Safeguard Impact Windows, Doors & Roofing has demanded full payment, in direct violation of the contract. The rotted soffit remains unreplaced, and no final walk-through or warranty documentation has been provided. My concerns regarding roof tiles along the front wall have been ignored. The only two (2) bright spots in my experience was the gentleman that did the stucco work after Safeguard Impact Windows, Doors & Roofing, was forced to replace the "L" Flashing on the house, he match the stucco perfectly and so did the company that came in a did the ceiling in the formal living room and guest bedroom. As of August 13, 2025, the project remains unfinished. Safeguard Impact Windows, Doors & Roofing has abandoned the job and failed to honor the agreed-upon terms, leaving all the unfinished work and damage behind. I regret, going with Safeguard Impact Windows, Doors & Roofing, because of the way they handle my project and failure to respond to issues that its personnel and unresponsive construction Manager caused. Roof looks good but they need to finish the job. Don't be fooled by good reviews, they should be taken with a grain of salt. All I could hear from the Construction Manager, was how much money the company was losing, to fix damages that they caused. Had the construction Manager do his job, I would not have had any damages to my property. Weigh your options carefully. However I would never recommend SafeGuard Impact Windows, Doors & Roofing. read more

I met with the representative from Safeguard on Wednesday, July 8th, for a quote to install hurricane impact windows in my home. She spent more than two hours utilizing high pressure tactics to convince me to "partner" with her company. I explained, though, that I owed it to myself to inquire with other companies and compare. I feel she was unrelenting in her pursuits. I asked her to email the quote she gave me, but she never did. To be fair, she did reduce the original quote, but only after I expressed my concern with it. Why couldn't she have given me the lowest quote possible to begin with? I decided to do business with another company that was over eight thousand dollars less than her original quote. That company, from the time the owner came in my door until the time I signed the contract and he left, was approximately 30 minutes. The two experiences could not have been more different. I learned a valuable lesson which I'd like to share with your readers: The moment you ever feel pressured to do business with a company, part ways immediately. There are certainly enough companies out there who will want your business and not apply any pressure whatsoever. read more

La Renassaince condominium has contracted safeguard to order and replace windows for the Condominium . The installation has stopped cold. I have an unfinished job, makes the property look terrible and they will not complete their work because they were asked to drill out the old bolts so the rust doesn;t bleed out in the future destroying the paint. Schoddy work. We also ordered front lobby doors. They came and measured and they ordered the wrong doors. We have been waitng since december for these to be installed. We can't get anyone on the phone other then a customer service rep. No management will answer the phone. I walked into this mess and I am disgusted that people are being treated like this. I am leaving this review as part of the contract. I am still working with Safeguard Windows and Doors and am currently a client. I wrote a massive review with all the issues but decided to be brief. Buying new windows and doors for your house and spending that money should be a good and enjoyable thing. Safeguard windows and doors have ruined this moment for me and my husband. I selected this company based on the good reviews, and Jonh and Paul made me believe their team was the best and would go above and beyond in each step of this process. They described to me how each person and position of their team would take care of everything. In summary, communication with them and customer service have been a headache, literally, and a waste of my husband's and my time. We found ourselves taking time off of our work to deal with them at each step of the process. Of all the estimates I received for my windows and doors, Safeguard windows and doors weren't cheap. I decided to go with them and pay more, not because of the quality of the windows and doors, but because I thought I was selecting the best of the best of all the contractors. I believed that they would go above and beyond in the process and would be smooth. We are very disappointed; I had high expectations after meeting Jonh and Paul. At this point, I only wish that Safeguard Windows and Doors finish everything still pending at my house with professionalism and good communication so we can close our business. Safeguard is one of the most professional companies I have dealt with in the nearly 30 years I have lived in Miami.
