Pull-up bar assessment: While ultimately we did not install the pull-up bar, John's comprehensive analysis, infrastructure review, and counsel was the principal output. John understood the proposed project and took immediate action to understand the infrastructure before providing us an adroit assessment. It is a practice that is indicative of a quality practitioner is his field. Perfect. Project 2: Crown molding repair: We purchases this residence a few months ago. A piece of the crown molding within one of the rooms magically decided to fall from the ceiling one day. You can imagine how pleasant that was. John knew immediately what to do how to do it. The crown molding is now repaired better than preexisting. Project 3: Refrigerator Handles: With a custom refrigerator and decorative handles, it wasn't your average appliance repair. The veneer panel and associated brackets needed to be delicately removed to facilitate the necessary repair. John was excellent in this project. Not only does he have the experience repairing high-end kitchens, but possesses a skillful eye for craftsmanship and detail. I bought material and needed help installing tile for the backsplash in my kitchen. I wanted to…read moresurprise my husband who was deployed by having this done before he returned. Luciano from Boodow responded to my Yelp request and came over to provide a quote. I showed him what material I had (tile, grout, spacers and grout float). I also showed him the self-adhesive peel and stick backsplash that I got from Amazon that was peeing off, as well as the tile underneath the stickers, both of which needed to be removed obviously. He provided a quote to me later that day on Sunday 10/18, and let me know his contractor would be there 9am on Wednesday 10/21. I asked if removal and mortar was included via text, and he confirmed yes. By 9:30am on Wednesday no one showed up so I texted him. After back and forth about when to expect his guy, someone finally showed up at 11am. I had 8 boxes of tile: 6 white for the kitchen and 2 gray for a different room. The contractor proceeded to install 4 white and 2 gray in the kitchen, arbitrarily installing them in a mismatched and negligent manner - not even stopping to ask me first about the 2 different colors. He also decided to install the tile right over the old tile. He removed the peel and stick which I could have done, and considered that the removal. This caused the outlets to be sunken in so the outlets are warped. In an attempt to hide his sloppy work, he took it upon himself to go to Home Depot and buy cheater plates to cover it, then grouted around the outlets. He also grouted an inch under the cabinets instead of cutting more tile, which I think is because he had the wrong tool to cut tile, because it came out very jagged. He never ended up using the spacers but took them and the grout float with him when he left. They didn't belong to him. I explained what happened to Luciano. But instead of correcting the issue, he strung me along for 8 days, cancelling appointments to come over, slow to respond, then finally today - he let me know he refuses to fix it, but won't charge me either. I'm out $180 in materials and stuck with a mismatched and sloppy install - because Luciano doesn't want to deal with fixing what his negligent contractor did to my kitchen. Be careful of doing business with this company. They do not take ownership for their mistakes and will find ways to blame the customer instead.

Everyday he had an excuse as to why his team couldn't show up, felt like the weather man. He send a guy one day to level out the floor, but he made a complete disaster. So after texting this loser for 2 weeks straight, I said forget it. I googled how to prep floor for epoxy, and paint it. Discovered that Lowe's sold an Epoxy kit for $125.00. Guess what? I liked the way he got in touch with me quick, during the rest of the day 4 more companies got in touch with me but I wanted to use Corey because he seemed honest and the price was fair. They have a flat rate service I choose for handyman for the day. David came to my home a few days prior to the job appointment day to look at the work to make sure it could be done in a day and agreed it could. He came on the agreed time ready to tackle the job. He also picked up the materials from home depot I needed to get the tiles done like the grout, this was a nice plus. The job started at 9am and he was done by 5pm. He came back the next day to set the grout as it needed a day to dry. Everything went smooth and we are happy with end result. I will be using David and Corey for future jobs, thanks guys!

I ignored his message , just like he ignored our appointment. Yes, we did set an appointment. Shawn came over to give me an estimate - as he was leaving he said "see you Wednesday morning". Was I "thrilled" the last time you were here? No I was not. You put house number on the front of my house. They were ridiculously crooked. You said it's the numbers. You replaced screen on my back patio door. The screen came loose about a week or so after - and I wasn't even living here at the time. So loose just from the wind. You replaced 4 porcelain tiles in my office. Those tiles were all much higher than the rest of the floor. I asked a few guys after and they all said - he put too much mud. He definitely didn't check to make sure it was even with the rest of the floor. You had a guy pressure clean my back patio. Yes a fine job. And you used your blower to blow a few leaves out of my gutter. And you cut some bushes for me and put them in the front yard for the garbage. When you came to give me the estimate, you said "you know I could have remodeled your whole house. Everything I see that you did here, I could have done and I told you - I will beat anyone's prices". Well I didn't call you for the major stuff to remodel because I was NOT thrilled the first time. I called you back again because I had another handyman who didn't show up. And another who couldn't do the work for 3 weeks. The things I trusted you with the second time were easy things. Moving furniture around. Putting shelves together for my garage. 2 smoke detectors. Easy things that didn't need to be straight or could have a problem in the future. Again I WARN before calling you. You only have yourself to be upset with. Not me for speaking the truth. That's why yelp is here. For customers to express their experience. Good or BAD
