One of the nights around Halloween after taking Laura's Stiletto Flow class :)
    Lynn O.

For #ThankYouThursday, I must express my sincere gratitude to Sadie's. As soon as the SAH order came into effect, the studio was swift to responsibly cancel classes and close. No doubt, my heart sank when I heard the news. However, within the same week, they already had online classes available for us on Zoom! It was an adjustment at first, and still isn't the same as being in the studio with such positive people and cute dogs wandering around, but this is the next best thing, so I'll take it! Sadie's partnered with dancers and instructors from other studios, so they were able to offer a variety of classes everyday. Since March, I have had the pleasure of taking yoga, stretch & flexibility, conditioning, "core-ona," "pole yourself together," mixed level tricks, chair burlesque, and flowy floorwork with some renowned instructors in the LA area! Some folks don't have poles at home, so there are a number of classes that don't require one. Even less people have aerial hoops and silks, so these classes are currently not offered. Their website, sadiespole.com, and booking system allow for easy registration and the classes are a reasonable $10 or $50 a month for unlimited classes. Pretty good deal if you ask me! Sadie's, the instructors and my dance friends have kept me sane during this time while being able to keep up my strength and techniques. I cannot thank Sadie's enough!!!

    Lauraaaa, Sadieeee and Reddd!!!

New super chill pole studio!! Wonderful ladies and gent. We have so much fun and learn a lot of tricks. Lots of options on times for yoga, pole, choreo, fitness and strength. Sign up online or via mobile app. Unlimited monthly pass is worth the price but class prices are awesome. And Sadies apparel are super cute! Come by and check it out! :) Location is at the end of the row of warehouses. The entrance is hidden but it's an immediate right after the train tracks (going south on inglewood)

Two Sadie's regulars chillin in the loft. The infamous Sadie herself and her little bud Miso!

Yay Sadie's! Gorgeous studio, brand new, homey and welcoming! Not to mention, best instructors ever ;) if you've ever thought of giving dance/pole fitness a try-- this is the place to start!! Laura, the studio owner, is so passionate about the art and never fails to support and encourage you to push yourself. They offer classes for all levels, all ages, all in a non judgmental environment. No matter what walk of life you're from, Sadie's has got something for you!!! And don't let me forget to mention....ZOMG DOGGIE FRIENDLY!!!!!!!!!! They have an area for little guys for now, but the outdoor yard will soon become a SUPERVISED (by a legit trainer) play area for the fur children! Now Fido won't need to be left behind when you put in long hours at the studio :D YES! Get ready to discover your second home :)

    Cute outside area :)

This was the only experience I had during this review. The parking was easy and appreciate that it was free for this event. The security was good, they had metal detectors and lots of people to check you in. The only problem was that we brought in our stadium chairs and when we got to the security area, they told us we were not allowed to bring our stadium chairs in bc they were considered weapons. So we had to go back to our car and put them back. We needed those chairs bc my husband has chronic back pain and sitting on bleachers for a long period of time hurts his back. When we got inside, we saw so many people with stadium chairs! WTH? That was so disappointing and sucked to be sitting on bleachers for so long with back pains and not all security were trained the same to follow the same protocols. But anyway, this was a special occasion and we were not about to get mad and ruin our day. The restrooms were clean and they also had food there which was good. Expensive food but no choice but to buy it there. Anyway, thanks for the day just wished it wasn't ruin by untrained security staff.

He absolutely loves going each week--what started as hands-on STEM activities like robotics and science projects has grown into so much more. We've seen his confidence, problem-solving skills, and creativity flourish in ways that truly impress us. What stands out most is how intentional and thoughtful the staff is with each child's development. They meet kids where they are, encourage curiosity, and make learning genuinely fun. It's rare to find a place that blends education, excitement, and personal growth this well. We also want to specifically recognize the incredible effort that went into the Northrop Grumman Space Park Tour. It was an unforgettable experience for our family and clearly the result of a tremendous amount of coordination, planning, and care. Offering something of that caliber to the community--at no cost--is truly above and beyond. On a personal note, the event meant even more to us than you may realize. Bringing Nathan to Northrop was deeply meaningful--my mother, who recently passed away, dedicated 43 years of her career there, and my father also spent over 20 years with the company. To be able to share that connection with our son in such a thoughtful and inspiring setting was incredibly special for our family. We are so grateful to be part of the Code Ninjas community. The impact you're making on kids--and families--does not go unnoticed. Thank you for your passion, your effort, and for creating opportunities that truly make a difference.

It's a balance of brain exercises and fun. My boys have said each year that these are the best camps all summer. Being snarky pre-teens, my boys are pretty hard to impress on a daily basis - take it from me, this is high praise. I expected my boys to have rated coding above chess, biology, chemistry and sewing camp. I make them do those camps to learn and prevent the summer slide. But, guess what, my boys rated Code Ninjas above surfing (!), karate, tennis, beach play, and soccer summer camps. They are avid soccer players and have friends in those team sports. I just assumed my boys would rank those camps the highest. Year over year, my kids say Code Ninjas hosts the best camps and they beg to return. Code Ninjas offers a range of courses and camps. They accept a broad age range - younger than I imagined. Youngest kids can start with Scratch-based activities. The after school program, I hear, is rigorous and more academically oriented. Facilities are well lit, colorful and filled with new technology. There are areas with good games for brain breaks. Teachers are attentive and caring. Owner is involved in the day-to-day operations. The owner's dad takes all the pictures as a proud dad and social media king. :) It's a nice family owned business. I like that Code Ninjas hosts events to inspire and challenge kids: - speaker events from entrepreneurs - show and tell events with high school robotics teams - community building events like the great annual El Segundo Puzzle Hunt -- it's fantastic (and tricky) screen-free fun for the whole family all around town - service events like making meal kits with Rise Against Hunger with the local Rotary Club - STEM events like visiting the local water treatment facility Coding is pretty hot right now. This was a nice place to let the boys try their hand at it

Blood tests, check-ups, and even listening to my baby's heartbeat all happened right on my couch. But the convenience was just the beginning. Katie's care was exceptional in every way a family hopes for when choosing a midwife. She brought a depth of knowledge and clinical skill that made me feel safe and confident from day one -- monitoring both my health and my baby's with precision and explaining everything clearly so I always understood my options. She balanced that expertise with a calm, grounded presence that instantly put me at ease. She answered my million questions with a calm smile (hey, it's my first time!), so when it came time to give birth, I felt informed, supported, and ready. From her gentle hands and confident decision-making to her unwavering emotional support, Katie embodied the perfect mix of professionalism and heart. In week 35, my blood pressure became too high for a home birth, and Katie guided and supported me in the process of reconnecting with my OB's office seamlessly. I experienced a level of continuity of care between homebirth and hospital that I wish every woman could have! After my son was born, Katie went above and beyond to visit us at the hospital as well as follow up visits at home. I cannot recommend her enough. If you're on the fence, choose Katie!

Katie brings to her practice professionalism, patience, compassion, and just immense support to myself and our entire family as we navigated pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I looked forward to our regular check-ins at our home where nothing was rushed and nothing was required. When challenges came up with my GBS test, Katie provided unbiased information and allowed me the space and time to make the decisions that made sense for my body and my baby. Our birth unfolded exactly how we had manifested and Katie was never intrusive, and completely tuned in to where we were in the birth process. On our birth night, we were lucky to have Mikki and Tasha who brought such calm and lightness to the experience. And truly, is anything better than birthing your baby at home and then being tucked into bed with your baby and nourishing food, supported by your midwife and birth team? Katie's service did not stop at birth though, we had many heart-felt check-ins and check-ups post-birth and she continues to keep in touch. Birth is such an intimate, raw, and expansive experience, and Katie was the perfect support in creating a birth experience we will remember with positivity and light forever.
