This is a delightful heated studio that has a variety of classes for different levels. It's very sanitary with wicking flooring. Latest type of heating - a infrared combo. Can get super hot but still feels clean in the studio. So many wonderful teachers here - have to call out my girl Cayla who kills me (with love...!) every time. Personally, am a fan of the Hot Power and 26/2 classes, but also enjoy the slower and still tough Mat Pilates classes. There are unheated classes too, including a super chill but stretchy yin class. Free, secure parking (inside and under the building),. Private shower rooms securely lock with codes to get in. Oh and they have shampoo and body wash! TL/dr: great classes, teachers, heat and showers is a fab fitness experience!

The yoga class was fantastic--energizing, calming, and perfectly paced. The instructor was knowledgeable and attentive, guiding us through each pose with clarity and care. I left feeling stronger, more flexible, and mentally refreshed. Highly recommended

So, I've been attending a downtown Los Angeles studio for Bikram (hot) yoga on Sunday mornings with a buddy of mine; never having fully mastered any of the 26 poses. I respect the discipline but have never had the time to perfect the craft. Downtown was a bit cramped and dated, leaving us both wondering about alternatives. We were referred to Hot Yoga 8 in the South Bay and took some sessions there. I had a good experience other than the occasional sell to commit to further sessions; to be expected. From there, we tried 423 yoga, and from what I can tell you, compared to DTLA, it was like going from Planet Fitness to Equinox. From the teachers to the entire facility - to include showers, this place is the Ritz Carlton Gold Standard. Our first instructor was Lori Sandler. She is an amazing yoga tactician. We tried the Vinyasa Flow sequence, which was a heated class. Vinyasa yoga uses creative poses that flow together with your breath. The complexity of Vinyasa yoga is the variety. With no standard sequence, the style, pace, and intensity tend to vary. Lori is as flexible as they come, and her contortions are circus-like. At one point, I literally thought she was levitating while impersonating a pretzel. She is patient as well as an excellent person to model for beginners. Some people succeed by what they know, some by what they do, and few by what they are. Lori has succeeded as a professional yoga instructor for all three reasons. As our schedules could no longer permit, we elected to try an earlier class - more in line with our earlier DTLA schedule. Enter, Sandy Gallardo. The class is called Hot Yoga Sculpt and is what I would consider a unique combination of power yoga and strength training. By combining both to include hand weights, this high-intensity workout left me in the fetal position - thumb in mouth, grasping my yoga mat like a Linus blanket. Yes, there is a reason they reference 'Baby' poses. I'm no stranger to pain. In fact, I'm about 12 months out from rotator cuff surgery and am currently training for an IM 70.3. Respectfully, this class broke me into several pieces and refused to put me back together again. I had to reconvene with my associate and get his take. Was that hard, or was it me? He, too, was in shambles - in a good way - bringing grown men to tears. Do not be fooled, Sandy is unassuming, and the class format is deceptively challenging. You're fine, for say 20 minutes, then Sandy says (without saying) enough games, let's get to work. Before you know it you're in acrobatic mode: Crescent lunges, Downward dog pushups, Lunge jumps, Weighted glute bridges, Criss-cross squats, Flying Planks, Frog jumps, Oblique twists, Planks and Standing tricep dips. It's about this time you realize your mat is like a Slip N' Slide from the 2 lbs. of water weight you've discharged. Like the scene in the Matrix, it's all coming at you so fast - yet you're in slow motion - saying, I actually paid for this? Sandy's energy is infectious as she encourages all to smile while she effortlessly flows through each routine, seemingly not breaking a sweat. In the end, you feel either humbled or humiliated - verb to be determined. It's just strenuous enough for you to want to return, if not, just to say that you survived. At conclusion, both classes will have you seeking a metal, ribbon, or some sort of certification for completing, but I can tell you, unfortunately, there are none. Regardless, it's good to be trained by professionals who have found their calling in life and remain passionate about training others to be the best version of themselves on this life journey. I selfishly give this spot 5 stars, hoping that the room doesn't become too crowded - but at the same time - I could not wait to share my experience. In the end, experience both if you have the chance and tell them Rick D. sent you. L8R.
