We were headed home to Austin from Houston and stopped by this winery midday during the week. Most other wineries are closed during this time, so it was nice that they were open. There was only one other group there at that time, but we didn't mind having the place basically to ourselves, but a little background music couldn't hurt! We each tried 6 wines. Each tasting is $10. I really enjoyed a majority of their wines. I even purchased the semi-sweet blanc du bois to take home. I'm looking forward to enjoying a glass of it this week! I would definitely recommend stopping by this place during your travels! There was definitely not a smell, as someone had mentioned below, and the sommelier was very kind and made some nice recommendations.

We stopped by this winery when we were going to multiple wineries in the Brenham area. We were just in awe of the beauty both inside the tasting room and outside on the patio. The tasting selections were great too. We will make it a stop the next trip through for sure!

Great winery in Burton. They have a nice selection of dry reds and whites along with a few sweet wines. I really like their new Sauvignon Blanc!! Nice location to relax with friends. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend stopping in for a tasting. You will not be disappointed.

Cute winery a short hop off Hwy 290 between Austin and Houston. We stopped in on our way back from Austin and were glad we did. They offer a 5 sample tasting for $10. They also have wines by the bottle or glass, if you don't want to commit to a bottle. The wines vary from dry to very sweet, so there is a little something for everyone to enjoy. They also have cheese trays and wood fired pizzas if your planning to stick around and didn't bring a picnic basket with you. The staff were all super friendly and helpful in selecting which wines we should try. We left with 5 bottles of wine and a belly full of pizza. Looking forward to your next trip so we can stop in again.

Very cute spot and good wine. The service is always great and they have a nice setup inside and out. And they also offer fresh pizza! I hope over time that they add a couple of more menu options though.

Our FAVORITE winery!! Beautiful country location built out of an old horse stable. We haven't had a single wine we haven't liked. If you like whites, their Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio are fantastic. No matter what, you HAVE to try the Cabernet Sauvignon or the Barn Red - which is a lighter (but not sweet) red perfect for a summer day. Saturdays are perfect for their brick oven pizzas!

This is our first winery visit and probably not our last, we enjoyed sampling different wines, looking at all their cool merchandise, and learned a little bit about wines. They have an outdoor pizza oven they fire up on Saturdays...weather permitting.....we didn't come on that day but the pictures people posted on Yelp looked good. I loved the tables and chairs crafted out of old wine barrels. The winery is located on some beautiful property, lots of wild flowers in bloom right now, you get to drive across an old riveted iron bridge to get to it.

Hands-down our favorite winery we toured during our Brenham area weekend winery tour. Of SEVEN this was THE BEST!! First the location is the prettiest. I would say it goes head-to-head with Bernhardt which is also beautiful. The big barn is adorable and the overall feeling is very cozy and comfortable. We had a group of 8 fun-loving, large personality, laugh abundant females so we weren't difficult to please. But this winery stood out. The wines were wonderful. The quality was top notch, the flavors were wonderful. There was a flavor (or more) for everyone and we had plenty of opinions on what tasted the best but everyone liked something. The cost for the tasting was totally fair for how many, the quality, variety and experience. The service was exceptional. The 2 girls that took care of us made time to ask questions about what we might like, they were very knowledgeable and fun. We ordered 3 pizzas and the bruschetta and there wasn't a crumb left on any plate. The other wine related items for sale in the store were reasonable and cute and there were several items we saw there that were unique to this winery. Most of the other places carried pretty much the same things so that was nice find.

This little gem about an hour outside of Houston is our new favorite winery. They are open every day and offer a 5 wine choice for their tastings for around $10 per person. Their host, Emily, is a doll and is very helpful with helping you make decisions. She can also answer any question no matter how basic or complex regarding wine. We are no experts by any stretch but we don't worry when we go because we know what we like and the place is so down to earth. On the weekend they have brick oven pizzas and there is space to sit inside and outside depending on your choice and of course the Texas heat. We will continue to visit and recommend this winery whether you are just a novice or an experienced wine enthusiast. We are looking forward to our next visit !

While visiting Fayetteville for the Good Old Summertime…read moreBicycle Classic the first weekend in June, my husband and I wanted to take in some local flavors! This was a delightful stop. The atmosphere was very country which we loved since we both grew up on a farm. Adorable cottages on the property that are available to rent through Airbnb I believe. The tasting room was in the barn. The friendly vintners were happy to help us make our selections. I selected 3 white and 2 red. I preferred the reds but may have appreciated the whites more if they had been served chilled (my taste preference) however all were room temperature. We enjoyed them outside amongst the feathered friends featuring all sorts of chickens, roosters and Guineas. Now the wine is not Napa quality so don't expect that but it is potable. The experience and environment is what makes it worth the stop to try something a little different.

They also had mules and alpacas... but they were definitely on "do not disturb" mode. Wine tasting was 5 for $15, and I appreciated how detailed their menu was. It actually made choosing feel less like a guessing game. Bonus: you can mix it up with frozen drinks too, and honestly, everything we tried had great flavor. Food check: Charcuterie board was good, just wish it had a little more protein (felt a little light on the meats). Pizza though? Crispy, tasty, and did exactly what it needed to do alongside the wine Overall, such a sweet, laid-back experience. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the mood for wine, vibes, and a little farm energy.

This has some seating indoors and some outdoors, so going during the fall is probably ideal. Not a huge space, but when I arrived on a 100-degree day, there were plenty of seats to choose from. I did two different flights- the sparkling and the tasting. I'm more of a red lover, but the Blanc Du Bois semi-sweet is one of the only whites I've REALLY enjoyed (I received a tasting of this at the rodeo and wanted to check out more options here since I loved it so much). There are only two sparkling options at the moment, so I tried both. The real star was the Belle for me. I can definitely see myself taking this to brunch or enjoying while cooking a meal. It is light and refreshing and you can totally taste the fruity guava notes in it. The Blanc Du Bois regular is not sweet enough for me which is probably why I enjoy the Semi Sweet so much. Of course, I left with a bottle of this as well. I'd like to come back and try their Reds- but definitely something I'll have to do in the future. If you're already out this way, you can taste some wine and then book a Bee-Keeping class which I really enjoyed.

I was there to drink good wine! unfortunately, that's not what I got. I got five tasting tokens. I tried the Jal Spice (weird smoky flavor and bad aftertaste) the heritage (best of the bunch), the mead (decent, so i got two pours) and a red blend I can't remember (except that it tasted bad). Although I bought bottles at the other two wineries, I wasn't even tempted. The wine tasted off. The best description I can think of it that it tasted skunky, like bad beer, but also had this overwhelming wooden taste in the red ones. The mead was ok and the heritage had the least amount of aftertaste. My entire tour agreed that it wasn't worth the stop. Hope the company eliminates them from future tours.

She has a great variety of wines and taste for all pallets. My only negative feedback is that the tasting pores are very small and not worth the tasting amount which is about $12 I believe.
