Came here during a trip to Chappell Hill. We enjoyed the short yet picturesque walk from the car to winery and I did the 5 wine sampler. I enjoyed the white and the reds were a bit less amazing. Their non-grape options like blueberry and prickly pear were good too. The service was very friendly. There is a deck near the parking area, that is perfect for enjoying a glass.

We were on a winery tour to celebrate my 43 times around the sun. This was our first stop and my favorite. They have the potential to be five stars but are not there yet. It was a pretty enough day that outside on their large covered patio with nice views was great but you wouldn't want to be out there in the dead of summer. Looks like sometimes they do the wine tasting inside, currently the inside looks rather cluttered. Jim the owner was a really nice guy that shared the most details out of all the winery's regarding his wine making, and his orchid in general. He also gave the most wine tasting (5) but not the most wine. He is only a one pour kind of guy except with the birthday girl. I was trying to get on pour decision level. I was able to acquire the two bottles I wanted from this location thanks to my gal pals who treated me for my birthday. I will say this winery also had the most decent prices out of the 3 we visited. The shop is a stroll down the hill, and we had a picture opportunity as they had just cut down some trees. We were able to taste 5 wines, they were 1) Sunset, a red, 2) Tribbiano, 3) Wild Mustang, a rosé. The last two on this lovely day trip, which I suggest, Blueberry and Mango Blanco. One last fun fact they are on the Texas Blue Bonnet Wine Trail the Largest wine trail in Texas.

Wine tasting - There is an inside shop / bar area and a large patio with seating for a group. During the tasting we tried 6 wines (3 red / 3 white), most were local too! You can tell that the owners are genuinely passionate and knowledgeable about wine. We were given tips on how to correctly taste, and received detailed information on the origins and profile of each bottle before trying. If you find a wine that you live, you can buy it afterwards and get the keep the tasting glasses for a souvenir. Overall a very friendly and relaxed vibe.

We wandered to Texas Star Winery on our way back from College Station! Texas Star Winery has a great property - including lots of outdoor tables! When we were there, there was a guitar player playing some great music on the porch of one of the buildings. We enjoyed our time drinking wine on the grounds while listening to music! What I didn't love? The wine, sadly. They're known for their fruit varietals, but after our tasting, we decided to stick with a more traditional wine (which was just okay). So was it a great wine experience? Not really. But it was a lovely afternoon.

Stopped here after the Watermelon Festival and got me a Hibiscus wine bottle!

This place was very good! The wine was awesome and the bellini's taste amazing! We showed up an hour before they closed, I wish that would've been our first stop instead of the last stop because the scenery outside is very beautiful. It would be a lot better if it was cooler but either or, it's nice inside and outside. They have a better selection of "sweet" wine in the area that I favored more. I had never heard of a hibiscus wine, so I took that one ASAP for $17 I believe. I think the wine tasting was $8 but I know the bellini's were $8 and you get to keep the cup.

We were checking out 4 of the wineries on the Texas Bluebonnet Trail and this winery was probably my least favorite. I thought the price for the tastings were reasonable, however the pours seemed small in comparison to our other stops. We also ordered the meat and cheese plate - which was about $12 - and not worth the value in my opinion. The wines were interesting to say the least. There were a lot of fruit wines which I thought I'd enjoy because I'm a fan of sweeter wines, but the flavors were a little too strong for me. Overall, the place is really cute and the service was great but the wines are not in my preference personally.

They also make a wonderful cranberry wine, not too sweet, and a bubbly cranberry that was just wonderful.

Threshold Vineyards showed up at the Houston Rodeo and I took their card and vowed to check this…read moreplace out. Really easy drive (about an hour from Houston) AND it's next to a Bee Farm. This has some seating indoors and some outdoors, so going during the fall is probably ideal. Not a huge space, but when I arrived on a 100-degree day, there were plenty of seats to choose from. I did two different flights- the sparkling and the tasting. I'm more of a red lover, but the Blanc Du Bois semi-sweet is one of the only whites I've REALLY enjoyed (I received a tasting of this at the rodeo and wanted to check out more options here since I loved it so much). There are only two sparkling options at the moment, so I tried both. The real star was the Belle for me. I can definitely see myself taking this to brunch or enjoying while cooking a meal. It is light and refreshing and you can totally taste the fruity guava notes in it. The Blanc Du Bois regular is not sweet enough for me which is probably why I enjoy the Semi Sweet so much. Of course, I left with a bottle of this as well. I'd like to come back and try their Reds- but definitely something I'll have to do in the future. If you're already out this way, you can taste some wine and then book a Bee-Keeping class which I really enjoyed.

The best I can say about the wine is that it was mediocre…read more The women running the place weren't very friendly, but I was on a wine tour and really didn't pay much attention to that. I was there to drink good wine! unfortunately, that's not what I got. I got five tasting tokens. I tried the Jal Spice (weird smoky flavor and bad aftertaste) the heritage (best of the bunch), the mead (decent, so i got two pours) and a red blend I can't remember (except that it tasted bad). Although I bought bottles at the other two wineries, I wasn't even tempted. The wine tasted off. The best description I can think of it that it tasted skunky, like bad beer, but also had this overwhelming wooden taste in the red ones. The mead was ok and the heritage had the least amount of aftertaste. My entire tour agreed that it wasn't worth the stop. Hope the company eliminates them from future tours.

This is a hidden spot and you question where or not to pull up on this semi private lot/…read moreestablishment. She is a very nice woman the owner. She has a great variety of wines and taste for all pallets. My only negative feedback is that the tasting pores are very small and not worth the tasting amount which is about $12 I believe. Her bottles generally run about $29 each. She has very good customer service and is very knowledgeable and is proud of her craft she also sells homemade soaps and honey as well

While visiting Fayetteville for the Good Old Summertime…read moreBicycle Classic the first weekend in June, my husband and I wanted to take in some local flavors! This was a delightful stop. The atmosphere was very country which we loved since we both grew up on a farm. Adorable cottages on the property that are available to rent through Airbnb I believe. The tasting room was in the barn. The friendly vintners were happy to help us make our selections. I selected 3 white and 2 red. I preferred the reds but may have appreciated the whites more if they had been served chilled (my taste preference) however all were room temperature. We enjoyed them outside amongst the feathered friends featuring all sorts of chickens, roosters and Guineas. Now the wine is not Napa quality so don't expect that but it is potable. The experience and environment is what makes it worth the stop to try something a little different.

Quaint little country winery…read more Pulled up and instantly felt like we were on a mini farm tour. chickens roaming everywhere and the cutest baby chicks stealing the show. They also had mules and alpacas... but they were definitely on "do not disturb" mode. Wine tasting was 5 for $15, and I appreciated how detailed their menu was. It actually made choosing feel less like a guessing game. Bonus: you can mix it up with frozen drinks too, and honestly, everything we tried had great flavor. Food check: Charcuterie board was good, just wish it had a little more protein (felt a little light on the meats). Pizza though? Crispy, tasty, and did exactly what it needed to do alongside the wine Overall, such a sweet, laid-back experience. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the mood for wine, vibes, and a little farm energy.
