Yeah...no... Came here as part of a wine getaway weekend with Hubby and my parents. The owner (August) was very nice and we enjoyed sitting on the patio out back... But... The tasting was $16 each, even with including the cute little tasting glasses (very little-not regular wine glasses), this was ridiculous. However, we had driven all the way out there and decided we were splurging for the weekend anyway, so went for it. Wrong choice. Sorry, but not one of the wines was drinkable-to any of us, and we represent very different palates. They were all too "young" tasting-green and sour. And the lavender one had way too much lavender (reminded me of an old lady bathroom...not what one looks for in their wine). The place is a bit run down looking too and the bathroom situation is weird (you go in the laundry room of the main house and it's not too clean). I can't recommend and won't be back.

My friends and I came here for a girls day. We did a grape stomp. You pick your own grapes, put them in a bucket.. stomp, and step on your t shirt. We finished the outing with a glass of sangria. This was a fun trip for something to do with the girls or even with your kids.

Rude, the staff is rude and inconsiderate. 0 stars, please avoid this place. Let's leave the wine out because Texas isn't the place to grow wine and it's just something to do. We do a tasting and we have 2 glasses left and a worker comes up and says, "We have a big group coming not to rush you but it'll probably be hard to get your wine." Alright, so I go up to the counter and ask to pay my bill and get two glasses to finish up (we haven't finished the glass we are on) she says no we can't pour you additional glasses you have to finish the glass you are on and use that glass(we couldn't possibly dirty extra glasses for you before the big crowd comes in). Uh, that's just bad service. All customers should be treated equal regardless if they're with a group or not. Their credit card machine also didn't work. When the crowd came in there would have been no way to pay or get that extra glass of wine. The place is kind of half finished and not that nice.

Lady Lavender wine. It's listed as a medium-sweet wine, but it is actually very dry.

Are the in-laws visiting soon? Have you been forced to buy a gift for the boss you hate? Do you want to maintain the appearance of giving a nice gift to someone (but covertly giving the worst present ever)? BEHOLD! The worst wine ever made! LADY LAVENDER! Combining the unsubtle taste of ammonia, cough syrup, and lavender, Lady Lavender is the most foul wine that has ever existed. Even prison inmates brewing alcohol in a toilet bowl couldn't make create a drink this awful. To make sure I wasn't the only one who suffered the Lavender malaise, I had my other family members imbibe. They spat theirs out and promptly declared it as the worst wine they've ever had. I didn't try the other wines here, but I don't think I want to. At least now I know what to buy my sworn enemies for Christmas (or maybe not, it is $20 a bottle).

The sommelier (sp?) who served us was friendly and informative. The bar they built for wine tastings is far too short. They should have have put the wine bar for tasting down a long wall. Six people barely fit. The crackers weren't in the center of the bar either but on a side table so I had to dodge bodies to get to them. Overall.....the place felt like it was a bit shabby and i didn't like the port a potty outside. If you're selling wine, and people will need to use the facilities, a winery ought to have a real bathroom instead of an outdoor shack. Its like the place needs.. I dunno..... something to make it prettier. Its just plain and utilitarian, not a place you want to sit down for a long time and relax. Then, after we had done our tasting and purchased two bottles of Brenham Blush, a guy came in and refused to do the wine tasting. He said ten dollars is outrageous. and you know, he's right. I was just so happy to be in a winery I didn't even consider the cost. But in Fredericksburg, tastings are like seven dollars and often times if you buy wine they erase the wine tasting cost. Ten dollars for a wine tasting is seriously steep but would be more forgivable if it was erased when you buy some bottles. Then the cost of their wine was $20 a bottle which is also seriously steep. Then we went to Pleasant Hill Winery in Brenham. Superior wine, enthusiastic owners who want to inform and teach without being overbearing, and $3 wine tasting. Also their wine per bottle is around $13 a bottle. There's just no comparison. Pleasant Hill puts Windy Winery to shame, better wine and better prices. After going to Pleasant Hill Winery I felt like Windy Hill Winery was a rip off and so did my travel companions.

Visited this winery on a cloudy Saturday afternoon and had a lovely time. The owners were very friendly and the live music by Mike Gallo (mikeGallo.net) was really nice and relaxing. I had a 6-wine tasting with a glass of the Saucy Red and my mom had the Heritage. We also shared a large bowl of homemade gumbo -- all of it delicious! I'll definitely be back. This is a great little place to visit if you're in the area.

The couple that runs the place was very pleasant and accommodating. I walked in with 3 other people and we all did individual flights. It was fun and exciting! It's not the best wine I've ever tasted but it is good for an afternoon and having a good time. The Cab was the best but that is just my preference. It looks like they are expanding the outside to a stage or dance or new patio area. It is a small time winery but they are good people and you will have fun.

The atmosphere was very country which we loved since we both grew up on a farm. Adorable cottages on the property that are available to rent through Airbnb I believe. The tasting room was in the barn. The friendly vintners were happy to help us make our selections. I selected 3 white and 2 red. I preferred the reds but may have appreciated the whites more if they had been served chilled (my taste preference) however all were room temperature. We enjoyed them outside amongst the feathered friends featuring all sorts of chickens, roosters and Guineas. Now the wine is not Napa quality so don't expect that but it is potable. The experience and environment is what makes it worth the stop to try something a little different.

Quaint little country winery…read more Pulled up and instantly felt like we were on a mini farm tour. chickens roaming everywhere and the cutest baby chicks stealing the show. They also had mules and alpacas... but they were definitely on "do not disturb" mode. Wine tasting was 5 for $15, and I appreciated how detailed their menu was. It actually made choosing feel less like a guessing game. Bonus: you can mix it up with frozen drinks too, and honestly, everything we tried had great flavor. Food check: Charcuterie board was good, just wish it had a little more protein (felt a little light on the meats). Pizza though? Crispy, tasty, and did exactly what it needed to do alongside the wine Overall, such a sweet, laid-back experience. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the mood for wine, vibes, and a little farm energy.

This has some seating indoors and some outdoors, so going during the fall is probably ideal. Not a huge space, but when I arrived on a 100-degree day, there were plenty of seats to choose from. I did two different flights- the sparkling and the tasting. I'm more of a red lover, but the Blanc Du Bois semi-sweet is one of the only whites I've REALLY enjoyed (I received a tasting of this at the rodeo and wanted to check out more options here since I loved it so much). There are only two sparkling options at the moment, so I tried both. The real star was the Belle for me. I can definitely see myself taking this to brunch or enjoying while cooking a meal. It is light and refreshing and you can totally taste the fruity guava notes in it. The Blanc Du Bois regular is not sweet enough for me which is probably why I enjoy the Semi Sweet so much. Of course, I left with a bottle of this as well. I'd like to come back and try their Reds- but definitely something I'll have to do in the future. If you're already out this way, you can taste some wine and then book a Bee-Keeping class which I really enjoyed.
