We ordered queso and chips for appetizers, it was a little liquidy and was missing something I feel like they used powder for the queso. Then we ordered shrimp and carnitas tacos both had great flavor, very fresh, good mix of authentic Mexican cuisine and new flavors with all the garnishes. Even though they used flour tortillas for the shrimp tacos, it still had great flavor and very well put together. Overall it was a great experience and would definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area. Great service very attentive servers and the bartender was great on drinks.

If you love bourbon or are just starting to explore it like I am you have to check out Hewn Spirits…read morein Peddler's Village. I've been here twice now, and it has become one of my favorite local spots. What makes them truly special is their commitment to the community: all their spirits are grown within 10 miles of where they are distilled. They use an 1800s Bucks County grist mill to stone-grind their ingredients, and they even recycle their spent grains to feed local cattle, pigs, and chickens. Whether you're into bourbon, vodka, tequila, or rum, or moonshine they have something for you. They even offer mocktails! My absolute favorite is the BMT--a perfect, refreshing blend of Dark Hollow Bourbon, a three-tea blend, maple syrup, turmeric, and lemon. They have a fantastic tasting room and offer both group tastings for parties and distillery tours. It's a great spot to gather with friends. The space is incredibly inviting, with plenty of character. Whether you want to sit at the long wooden bar, lounge in the leather seating area, or relax on the patio, it's the perfect place to unwind. You can even do a "Shop & Sip" while you explore the village! The staff is so warm and welcoming. On my first visit, they even gave me a fantastic dinner recommendation. They have a great retail selection, including infusion kits, bourbon-barrel-aged coffee, maple syrup, honey, and even delicious bourbon jerky. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in. You won't regret it!

On my most recent visit, I ordered the linguine con pollo, while my partner ordered a hanger steak from that day's specials. I thought I was satisfied with my homemade pasta, perfectly tender chicken, and delicate white wine sauce -- a seemingly simple combination that few can replicate with such precision. But when I tried a bite of the melt-in-your-mouth hanger steak and the risotto which accompanied it, I realized that, somehow, it *is* possible to go wrong here. To be sure, we have been looking for excuses to find our way back here before the steak falls off the menu, just so that she could have it again and I could have a portion completely to myself. I have been to places with larger portion sizes, but invariably the food is a cut below. Personally, I'll take the European portion size and the superior food over the American portion size and the mediocre food every time. Except if we're talking about say, cheesesteaks. Which we are not. This is quite possibly the best Italian restaurant outside city limits, and it will be a staple of me and my partner's holiday traditions for years to come.

Inside kind of feels like a farmhouse vibe with the browns and greens. The bar downstairs with the more formal seating upstairs is pretty cool. Service was good, waitress was warm and friendly; took our order timely, and wait times weren't overly long. My appetizer was forgotten at first but it was brought out a little after the meals were. I ordered the grouper finger appetizer and red snapper Provençal, and wifey had the filet mignon with sweet potato fries. My grouper fingers were light and fluffy with a touch of crisp from the coating. The snapper dish was tasty, not a fan of mushrooms but dealt with them since the overall combo of spinach, caper, and tomato went well. The fish was served skin side down, which was crispy. I get plating the accompaniments on top, but not on the skin, however should have removed the skin since it was pointless. The cookery of the fish was good, ends were a little chewy due to getting the skin crispy, but I didn't mind. The house rice was a bit mushy, but had a good flavor since the capers were also inside. Wifey's steak was cooked correctly and tasted good too. It came with bleu cheese and a butter sauce which went well with the fries and meat. She thought it was a nice meal. Overall, would return to Porterhouse if I ever visit Peddler's again.

Only one entry for the salad. This salad had shrimp which I personally don't eat, so I asked that they give my shrimp to my girlfriend on her salad. When the salad came out, no shrimp. When I asked why she was not given my shrimp, the owner came to me and said that I ordered the vegetarian salad, not an option on the menu by the way. So I said well now I'd want my shrimp can you bring it to me and he said that's not what I ordered. So for the price of three shrimp, I already knew I would never go back there. $110 per person I think they can afford three shrimp. Food was okay, not stellar but we did leave hungry and for that price in Doylestown that shouldn't happen. Had one shot which was pretty expensive, would have drank more but after the shrimp incident we decided not to spend another dollar. I won't be returning. They don't seem to understand customer service at this restaurant. If you do decide to go in the future, make sure you're careful about any live entertainment. We were under the impression that we would be able to stay for the show that was happening at 6:30 but since we had an early reservation we were told we could not stay. When we made the reservation there was an option to check that we wanted to attend this and we were able to make that check on the software. Bottom line we spend our Valentine's Day angry about shrimp and disappointed we couldn't see a show we were expecting.

The lounge offers a happy hour menu (with a limited selection) Monday to Friday. I ordered the seasonal peach sangria (twice), cheesesteak rolls and vegetarian spring rolls from the happy hour menu. Fresh chunks of peaches infuse the white wine based sangria with their sweet essence. The cheesesteak rolls were a standout choice. They are golden, crispy rolls, packed with savory, tender beef and melted cheese, perfectly complemented by a zesty, spicy ketchup that adds a kick. In contrast, the veggie rolls are more straightforward. While the vegetables are well-seasoned, the wrappers used lacked the delicate, crispy texture that spring roll wrappers would provide. A switch to spring roll wrappers could elevate these veggie rolls, giving them a lighter, more refined bite. I did like the peanut sauce condiment that came with them. Had to order a drink off the regular menu and picked the Elit espresso martini. A cocktail that's both strong and indulgent, with a perfect harmony of coffee and creaminess from the Baileys. Served chilled and garnished with a few coffee beans, it's a sophisticated choice for those seeking a potent yet elegant libation. Frost is a must-visit for its unique ambiance and satisfying cocktails.
