When we first walked in it was not busy at all, we did not have a reservation (which is probably recommended for a large party). We got seated immediately got seated and had the most wonderful service from Kathy! Very welcoming and friendly personality. We came to Saddle Ranch for Mother's Day and waited over 1.5 hours for our food. The order was simple: biscuits and sausage gravy, a veggie omelet, and a breakfast burrito. What we got was completely disappointing. The gravy had a faint reddish hue--it looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for far too long. The biscuits were clearly frozen and reheated, not fresh at all. The hash brown portion was smaller than the palm of a hand. The omelet was the worst of all: the mushrooms were raw--not sautéed or cooked into the egg--just chopped and tossed in, giving them a rubbery, inedible texture. To "make up" for this, they gave us a free cookie dessert with ice cream, which honestly felt like something you give a kid at a chain restaurant--not a meaningful gesture to salvage Mother's Day. My mom sat there waiting for over 90 minutes for bland, barely edible food, and left disappointed and hungry. She didn't even have brunch because her order was inedible. Had I known how unbearably hot this was going to be, I would have went to market broiler across the way. My tri tip was chewy and lacking seasoning. My mash ans spinach was fine (but again, I barely ate and had to take it to-go because I was sweating and actually beginning to feel sick. I'm kind of embarrassed actually because I hyped the place up so much that the people I brought said, " let's go!" They felt sick and hot and sticky, so I even ate their bill because I felt so unbelievably bad. Service was slow but I don't think it was the server at all. She was on it, but even though this place had almost no one in here, it seemed like things took long from the kitchen. Again, I'm so disappointed, this wasn't like my previous experience at all and frankly. This may be my last. No one came over to apologize or even try to speak about the elephant in the room, which was the heat!!! I'm sweating bullets while I sit here writing this as I wait for my check. This eatery is very expensive so plan ahead by looking at the online menu for the location that you are going to. I enjoyed the variety of music that they played. Their is indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating has a fire pit. Yesterday evening, my friend and I ate there at the Orange location. The manager was very attentive and seated us right away. Our pregnant server was nice and friendly. The food took a long time to come to us (maybe 40 minutes) but the manager apologized since there were a lot of parties going on. I had the salmon tacos with guacamole, chips, chipotle sauce, and regular salsa. I also had the white rice which was very clumpy and dry. The tortillas were too crispy to eat but I enjoyed the salmon and the salsas etc. My friend had the petite size of Rib Eye which was very delicious. She got to substitute the mashed potatoes for grilled asparagus because it had heavy cream. Unfortunately, she did not get the free biscuits and muffins that come with the meal. We went with family and friends a party of 12 . The place seemed like a great choice specially since it was highly recommended . The reservation was easy on open table app. The check in is where everything started to go down hill . They gave us a table that was meant for 4 and our reservation clearly stated 10 . First time here on Valentines Day. Was looking forward to this place as it looks lively, and a fun atmosphere. Asked if they were doing any Valentine's Day specials and they weren't, which was a bummer. The service was sub par. Server didn't really seem to friendly. Started with The pretzel app which was awesome. Loved the temperature of it and flavor. The cheese and mustard it comes with is great! Also ordered the crispy buffalo chicken salad and was looking forward as I loved the ingredients it came with. I was disappointed with it when it arrived due to the lettuce that came on it. It was all iceberg and not chopped up well. Chicken was good on it though. Server forgot that I asked for ranch on the side instead of the blue cheese and I didn't get that. Couldn't find my server so I asked someone else for the ranch, they still didn't bring it so eventually when I saw my server again I reminded her and her response was "oh yeah let me get it". I had already been sitting there with my food untouched for almost 10 minutes just waiting for dressing.. My man got the Cajun burger and he enjoyed it and loved the spicy sauce on the side. Server didn't recommend any drinks, or appetizers, or desserts and was really hoping she would have done that. We probably would have had a higher bill if she did, but she honestly didn't interact much with us at all or wish us a happy Valentine's Day. The bread was the best part. The meat was similar to other French dips that I've had other places. Cilantro rice was good. Wife had barbecue chicken on rice. Her exact words were this was average. They serve little muffins before hand that were over cooked and extremely hard. The Biscuits weren't any better. The service was just OK. Once they dropped off the food she basically disappeared until she brought the check back. Our friend had a ribeye that he wasn't impressed with. He also had the tater tot's that were extremely undercooked. The waitress is key words when she welcomed us to our table was we are a chophouse and were known for our burgers , steaks and chops. This restaurant is inside Orange The Block Shopping Center. I ordered standard cut 14oz prime rib and creamy corns, medium rare was perfect. Very juicy and delicious. My kids ordered pasta & baby back ribs. They love the baby back ribs so much. There were a cow figure machine inside the restaurant for customers to get on it and be the cowboy or cowgirl's challenges, it was so interesting to see some ppl actually went on it and tried different levels. Pretty fun experience. Service was good and waiter was very friendly. Ambiance is kind of dark inside the restaurant, you can also sit outside patio with fireplaces. Dining experience was good. My first experience dining out in over a year with family. I should have known the outcome based on reviews from my fellow Yelpers. I was impressed with the menu selections and that was about it. I made reservations on OpenTable. We arrived a few minutes before my reservation time and had a short wait before we were seated. We arrived to our outside table that was sticky and had visible food residue stuck to it. We reviewed the large menu and decided to order an appetizer so I put in an order for the spinach and artichoke dip. It took us a few more minutes to decide on the entrees but our server was nowhere to be found. Eventually, the appetizer arrived and we identified that we would like appetizer plates and napkins. I also told the server that we were ready to order our entrees. The appetizer was served with stale chips. The spinach artichoke dip was OK. We were finally able to place an order and decided on: Prime Rib, Ribeye Steak, Salmon and Tri-Tip. It took a long while to get our orders and had the following issues: We were not served any bread as indicated on the menu; I was not provided a steak knife for the Prime Rib; the creamed corn was sour and was the worst that I've had in my life; the fries were cold; and the salmon was small and didn't taste fresh. Overall, the experience was 2.5 stars. This was an expensive ticket for friendly but lacking service, OK food and long waits. I won't be in a hurry to come back here. read more
