Enchiladas Suisa

This is a cute restaurant on Union st with a back patio (that was unfortunately closed when I went). The food was good, but I prefer some other Mexican places in SF. Plus, the prices were really high. I think they have a unique menu with some fun flavor combos and a happy hour which I didn't try, so it would be worth coming back for that. I appreciated the complimentary chips & salsa which tasted fresh, and the service was lovely. Overall, it was chill but I think there are other restaurants for a comparable price range in the area that might pull my attention more.

It's definitely a scary place 1. Gave my vegetarian friend the wrong order, so they gave him meat 2. They charged us double on accident. We had to wait an extra 20 minutes to get that resolved. 3. Tacos were small, not worth the price. Average sized taco for 2x the average, assuming average is like 3.5 bucks. Tasted average too.

Walked in on a Friday around 4pm. Staff were really friendly and welcoming of my dog. There are many seats inside and on the patio. It was Happy hour so everything we ordered was $8. A really great deal for decent meal in the Marina! I got two margaritas, the rum horchata, mexi-kale salad, 2 taco plates and a quesadilla. I really enjoyed the mexi-kale salad. Really great flavor and fresh ingredients. I also enjoyed the buttered shrimp taco. The fish taco had great sauces and Cole slaw but I found the fish to be ok. I also asked for the salad to come with no cheese but they added it in.

Liked the experience here! It was pretty empty during a late-ish lunch and we got very prompt service. We got complimentary chips and the salsas were yum!! We really liked the 5 tacos for $25 and it was such a good deal! I tried the fried avocado taco and the nopales. Really liked both but liked the avocado one the best!! The nopales one was super garlicky which was yum. My friend tried some of the meat tacos and she liked them as well!! Overall, pretty good! Will be open to coming back!

Stepped in around 4:30 pm during a Friday happy hour. Had 2 tacos and 2 birrio tacos for $8 each. Friendly bartender. We were the only customers for a bit as the rain died down. Will check it out again!

we recently went to a concert nearby and had made a quick decision to eat a quick Dinner here. We had reservations at another place, but decided to eat here since it looked quick and easy. it looked small and cozy and had a Bar and a patio. It seemed like a chill evening but lot a patrons inside and a nice Saturday like vibe. We had decided to get the trio Salsas and preuse the menu. We wound up getting 2x Pork belly Tacos and the 5x for $25 tacos deal. We chose Lengua/ Shrimp/ Nopalos/ Carnitas/ and Al Pastor. The server was friendly and was very efficient and also informative. She had also let us know the menu and explained the Specials. All of the food was tasty and the Salsa on the trio "habanero" had a kick. Definitely a low key spot but the tortillas seemed homemade and portion was perfect for the price. The place is smack dabbed on Union in the Marina District which is perfect and easy to find a place when you're Hankering for a quick Drink and Bite.

Stopped by Sacred Taco for a late lunch and had a great experience. There was only one person working--handling the front, serving, and bartending--but he managed it all with ease and a good attitude. Thankfully it wasn't too busy, so service still felt relaxed and attentive. He made a great recommendation for which mushroom to include in the vegetarian enchilada, and the fried avocado taco was also a standout--crispy, creamy, and super satisfying. The real winner, though, was the habanero salsa. It had the perfect level of heat--spicy, but not overwhelming--and added a great punch to every bite.

Specialize in tacos! 3 for $15 happy hour tacos and half off margaritas for the win! Their tacos are nicely cooked and juicy. Their lamb birria was top notch and gourmet. Service was friendly. They provided chips and salsa. Fun place for casual dining with yummy tacos and drinks.

Taco and margarita happy hour

Solid casual spot for tacos and margaritas. Great happy hour specials as well with half off tacos and margs! I believe its every day until 6pm. I got a classic margarita and a carne asada taco for a mid afternoon snack. The marg was refreshing, mixed well and served ice cold. I could taste the fresh lime juice and not premixed that other places have. They have also some other creative margaritas and cocktails that seem fun to try but I decided to keep it classic when I stopped by. The carne asada taco was huge and exactly what I needed. Fresh guac, pico and seasoned beef made it really delicious. They have some great salsas that vary from mild to really spicy. Stop by for a drink and some great tacos!

Eight dollars for two tacos during happy hours. We really liked the shrimp and fish tacos the best. You can find tacos at a better price at other places, but these are quality street tacos.

Came here for some HH eats. They the best tasting chips and it comes with 3 different salsa's. We also got birria tacos and some margaritas. It was a nice place to dine at. We sat by the open window to enjoy the nice cool breeze. Everything was delicious.

Tacos El Patron is still my go-to spot for birria tacos in the city…read more Food: I first discovered birria tacos during the pandemic and went on a mission to find the best one. A coworker recommended this place, and now I recommend it to everyone. What stands out is the balance--everything is done well. The meat is rich and flavorful, the tacos themselves are just as good, and the consommé ties everything together perfectly. I've tried places where one part is strong but something else falls short, but not here. You also get free sides like onions, cactus, radish, and beans, which make the meal even better. I've been coming back ever since, and I can easily finish three tacos in one sitting. On my most recent visit, I had two birria tacos and tried their birria ramen. It was surprisingly good--comforting and flavorful, more like a homemade dish than anything instant. For drinks, I've tried all their jugos, and the jamaica is the standout--get it in a large. Service: Friendly, efficient, and straightforward. Orders come out at a good pace, and the staff keep things moving even when it's busy. Ambience: The space has a Frida Kahlo-inspired design, which adds character and makes it feel lively and unique. There's one restroom available. Parking: Parking can be a bit difficult in the area, so expect to walk a little--but it's worth it once you get your food. If you're serious about finding a really good birria taco, this is one to try.

Tacos El Patron is worth the effort to figure out where to park, etc. it's not quite a hole in the wall, but it definitely is on the smaller side, and we ended up getting food to go because it was just easier. The birria quesadilla was a total surprise. It was FILLED with a very generous amount of meat. The meat was tasty, lightly seasoned, and the portion truly is a shareable. We asked about the consommé and I don't know if they just forgot it or what happened but we never got to try it. The shrimp taco was tasty and absolutely filled with again generous amount of shrimps. Ironically, it wasn't my favorite. It just was lacking the level of flavor that I really wanted. The Carne Asada was mediocre at best and not something that I would order again. The winner out of the numerous items that we ordered was the pork belly and the Al pastor. Between the two, the Al pastor is the one that you want. Incredibly well seasoned, a nice hint of light spice, the meat was juicy and tender, and the combination in the taco was outstanding. Seriously so good that my mouth is watering just thinking about how tasty it was. The chips were nothing to write home about, and I didn't really care for salsas that came with the meal. Really reasonably priced, generous amount of food, and absolute worth the push in enjoying their food! Diners tip: there seems to be a description in cost between ordering online versus in the restaurant and you may get a better deal ordering online

This place is famous for their burritos and especially the "Dorado style," which tastes amazing -- BUT what they don't clearly disclose anywhere is that the Dorado style burrito is cooked in pork lard unless you specifically ask for it "dry" or with vegetable oil. As someone who does not eat pork for religious reasons, finding that out after already eating there was honestly really upsetting. And the frustrating part is that there is NO clear sign or disclosure telling customers this. If I never asked, I would have had no idea. I actually still like this spot and appreciate that they at least offer a dry/vegetable oil option if you ask, but customers should not have to investigate ingredients themselves to avoid pork. Jewish, Muslim, vegetarian, and other customers deserve transparency. A simple sign or note on the menu saying that Dorado style is prepared with pork lard by default would solve this issue completely. Great food, but this absolutely needs to be disclosed better. One of my all time favorite spots in general.
