This particular location is more of a kiosk and specializes more on the authentic takoyaki and okonomiyaki. There seems to be a lot of buzz about tourism im Japan, but since I am unable to visit at this time I decided to visit Japanese places in Cebu. The two dishes I orderes the takoyaki and okonomiyaki i have seen on various videos of Japan and their street food so I decided to give it a try. The takoyaki was better than expected and as I watches them make it I could tell they were on the right track. I could taste the independent ingredients in harmony. The okonomiyaki also tasted good. The flavors were not overpowering but at the same time you can discover the nature of its intent. Its a great place to stop by for a snack and imagine you are in Japan since they do claim to be authentic. I plan to try the other location for their ramen dishes. Note at current time they have 2 other actual restauranr locations one at ayala and one in mandaue.

Ramen Nobushi - All on top (they ran out of tamago and replaced it with extra servings of chasu...what a downer!)

This ramen place has been opened for about a year now. I finally decided to try this place out…read more Place was good, nice and clean, ambience pretty balanced and bright. I planned on ordering their Kotteri Ramen but the waitress said that they didn't have it, so, I asked what they would recommend. I ended up ordering their All On Top Ramen as recommended by our server and also ordered their gyoza. After a few minutes wait, one of the servers approached our table and said that they ran out of Aji Tamago (the specially marinated egg that comes with the All On Top Ramen) which I was looking forward to eating with my ramen. I mean, I understand that they would run out of it if the place was overly crowded and many ordered it along with their ramen (since some ramen dishes doesn't come with the egg), but it's not, there was just 1 table occupied (minus the one table where the owner's kids sat and ate their meal) and it was on a midday right as they opened. Instead, they offered to replace the egg with extra servings of chasu to which I gladly accepted. Then the ramen arrived after I agreed with them. I tasted the broth first, it was okay. The broth was mild, clean, balanced, and not too salty (which I like). The noodles were thin and soft. Too soft for my liking, it was too soft that it feels like it would break down just as it enters your mouth and that you won't need to chew on it that much and you could swallow it immediately. I prefer my noodles a little between soft and firm though. The chasu was okay, it was nicely tender and not too tough to chew. One thing though, I feel like the balance of the dish was gone since it had too much too many chasu and minus the egg. That's where they fell on that part. I felt that the meal was incomplete without the tamago. A bowl of ramen is suppose to be balanced. The gyoza was meh. Maybe they just weren't ready that day I guess. I'm not the one to have too many insights but as far as I'm concerned, I've eaten at many ramen restaurants not only in the Philippines but also in Japan as well. This however is something different. The question here is..would I come back again? The answer is maybe but not that I would crave and look for it as much. For now I'd give it a 3.
