They attempted to pull his Penske truck out but, their tow truck started to roll backwards and hit my son's rental truck. His fiancé was injured and so was their dog. They used intimidation to charge my son $416.00 after wrecking into the front of their truck and hurting them. My son just finished serving 8 years in the Army, and he was moving from his base at Fort Meade. When I tried to talk with one of the owner's Allen, He was extremely rude to me too. He laughed at the fact that I was upset. To prove that this company is the worst, an old man and his truck stopped to help my son. He was a Veteran too. We continued driving and it eventually restored itself and came back on. This happened a few times before we realized we better head off the PA Turnpike and find a repair shop. Lucky for us, we found Hostetler's Garage! Dan was super nice taking care of us even though it was after 4:00 and his shop closed at 5:00. I needed a new alternator, and he told us the job would be about 4 hours. He had already promised a couple of his customers that he would work late and finish their cars, but he made sure he had my needed part that night so that he could get to work on my car 1st thing in the morning. His employee, Corey, was nice enough to load the 4 of us and our luggage into his truck and drive us to a local hotel for the night. When my car was finished early the next afternoon, Dan drove my car to the hotel for us while Corey followed him to take him back to the garage. We were all amazed at the way Dan and Corey went above and beyond to help us out! It was immensely appreciated! I would highly recommend Hostetler's Garage to anyone in that area. If I lived closer, I would definitely be switching to them as my mechanic. They are awesome!

I asked them if I could really quickly drive my car to their shop to get a quick repair done - they agreed and upon arriving, they were extremely nice about it all, fixed it quickly and efficiently, and refused payment even after I insisted. I would need another appointment to get it fixed. If they "knew it was broken they would have scheduled more time." I guess starting that the sunroof motor is not working and the sunroof is stuck open didn't explain enough that it is broken. Then I get the vehicle back and it smells like soneine was smoking in it. They get a one star because they at least changed the oil without screwing it up. Besides that, if it were possible for negative stars I would have done it.

I was towed 30 miles in the opposite direction due to the driver had been working 16 hours already and needed to go home. the person that picked me up OFFERED to diagnose my car free of charge and let me know that the amount of miles would not count that we drove back until we got back to where I was picked up from. when we got back to the shop, I was hesitant for them to look at my car even though I was told it would be free while I wait for the new driver to take me to my destination. i was told it would take Only a few minutes to diagnose but it ended up taking an hour. I went into the garage to make sure that everything was ok when the manager (one of the mechanics mother) came to yell at me saying I couldn't be in the garage and if I had a problem I needed to go somewhere else. remained pleasant and even asked her for a job application. as I still waited on my car, they let me know that my engine had something wrong. They refused to get me an estimate on how much it would be to work on it But offered to fix it instead of me getting it towed. But having me pay to get my car out of the garage. I let them know my AAA was active so I shouldn't have to pay to get my car out of the garage when I was told it would be free. They took my AAA info and called them to give them the info and told AAA that the miles I would be traveling DOUBLE the amount I was actually traveling. I had to correct him while he was on the phone and it seems to upset him. They kept trying to push the issue that my policy wasn't going to cover the amount of miles even though my premier plan in fact covers the 200 miles. they then refused to take me back to where they picked me up from and forced me to pay to get my car out of their garage even though I was told it was free of charge. I'm also not sure about who called the police but one car showed up while someone else was there in their Pajamas working on their car, assuming it was a friend of theirs. This may be some type of discrimination. Since the "owner" made sure to make every comment as snarky as she could before I paid for when I didn't have done and left. She tried to charge me almost 400 for a diagnostic test when I had already told them that It could have been my engine and they insisted that it wasn't and told me it was wheelbearings. They refused to tow me back to where they picked me up from and took advantage of me because I was alone And at their mercy to get where I needed to go. Very sad experience and I would let anyone that is a woman or person of color to be cautious when using this place.
