[Experience with vehicle repair and car rental.]…read more My car broke down on the turnpike, and this was the ONLY place in Bedford that was A. open, B. worked on motors, and C. also rented cars. 3 hours from home, and 2 hours from my destination, I was stranded. the folks here were so kind and understanding of my situation. I was able to easily rent a car to get where I needed to go, and I would leave my car at the auto shop while they repaired it so that upon my return, I could return the rental and drive my car home. The rental process was easy, and, although I would have driven anything at that point, the rental was in great condition. The staff kept me in the loop with regards to the (bad) updates on my car throughout the duration of its stay, via phone calls and texts. When it became apparent that my car would NOT be fixed by the time my excursion was done, they worked out payment over the phone, and provided answers to all my questions. The car needed a new engine, a new radiator and a new coolant system. When it was time to me to pick my car up, the only available day was one where they were closed. They left my car for me in the lot, and I was able to get it with an extra pair of keys. I am NOT car-savvy, and I was in a really tough situation. These guys were professional but empathetic, and really held my hand through the whole thing. which, as a not-car-savvy person, was exactly what I needed. And if they weren't so far away, I'd absolutely go to them again.

Husband was approved for vehicle. he decided to put down what they ask for. upon that was told he…read moreno longer qualified for vehicle. but they wanted him to go ahead and put insurance on a vehcile he didnt even have in his name yet. if he would have done that he would have been out the money for the insurance. what kind of practice is this? better educate your sales staff the price you quote isnt always the price you need to pay. tell people up front before someone gets the law involved due to mis representing your self

The appointment was made almost 1 week in advance. I showed up on the day of the appointment at 7:15 A.M. (they open at 6:30 A.M.). After I reviewed what was to be done for my vehicle, I was told that they would give me a call. I waited (wasted!), all day waiting for that call! They close at 5 P.M. I gave them until 5:10 P.M. and called back. When I called back, I got a recorded message that they were closed!!! I drove there, tried the locked door, saw someone was still inside and I knocked. The guy who said he would call answered the door. At first he did not seem to recognize me. Then he started to apologize with the feeble excuse of how busy they were that day. (How is that my problem?) He said that the tires did not come in. Was the vehicle inspected I asked? No, nothing was done to it and it was parked out on the street! He offered me a "loaner." What, will you be loaning me my own, perfectly working vehicle? I drove my vehicle home and I will never return. What type of way is that to treat a customer and to run a business? He deservers ZERO stars!

I was towed 30 miles in the opposite direction due to the driver had been working 16 hours already and needed to go home. the person that picked me up OFFERED to diagnose my car free of charge and let me know that the amount of miles would not count that we drove back until we got back to where I was picked up from. when we got back to the shop, I was hesitant for them to look at my car even though I was told it would be free while I wait for the new driver to take me to my destination. i was told it would take Only a few minutes to diagnose but it ended up taking an hour. I went into the garage to make sure that everything was ok when the manager (one of the mechanics mother) came to yell at me saying I couldn't be in the garage and if I had a problem I needed to go somewhere else. remained pleasant and even asked her for a job application. as I still waited on my car, they let me know that my engine had something wrong. They refused to get me an estimate on how much it would be to work on it But offered to fix it instead of me getting it towed. But having me pay to get my car out of the garage. I let them know my AAA was active so I shouldn't have to pay to get my car out of the garage when I was told it would be free. They took my AAA info and called them to give them the info and told AAA that the miles I would be traveling DOUBLE the amount I was actually traveling. I had to correct him while he was on the phone and it seems to upset him. They kept trying to push the issue that my policy wasn't going to cover the amount of miles even though my premier plan in fact covers the 200 miles. they then refused to take me back to where they picked me up from and forced me to pay to get my car out of their garage even though I was told it was free of charge. I'm also not sure about who called the police but one car showed up while someone else was there in their Pajamas working on their car, assuming it was a friend of theirs. This may be some type of discrimination. Since the "owner" made sure to make every comment as snarky as she could before I paid for when I didn't have done and left. She tried to charge me almost 400 for a diagnostic test when I had already told them that It could have been my engine and they insisted that it wasn't and told me it was wheelbearings. They refused to tow me back to where they picked me up from and took advantage of me because I was alone And at their mercy to get where I needed to go. Very sad experience and I would let anyone that is a woman or person of color to be cautious when using this place.
