Sufiya's is a great place to grab lunch with your friends. My friend and I came here for my…read morebirthday recently and I was pleased to find that their food hasn't changed from 5 years ago! When we sat down, we were served pita and tzatziki sauce. It was good! We ordered off of the lunch special. I had the Kubideh Kabab and my friend had the boneless chicken Kabab. The kababs were not dried out and they were very tasty, well seasoned, and not salty! With the lunch special, you get a choice of lentil soup or salad. I went with the soup and I'm glad I did! It really hit the spot since I haven't been feeling very good lately. We shared an appetizer of falafels. To be honest, it was a bit too dry for me. The service was great and our waitress was very nice. She gave us plenty of time to look at the menu and order. The restaurant is quiet overall but there isn't a lot of seating available. There's a shared parking lot but it's crowded. The food was amazing but I don't like looking for parking when I'm hungry. Just kidding. I'll stop by again!

Disappointments include that the advertised "jumbo" shrimp were only medium, but at least there…read morewere seven, which was enough, and in a nice tasty sauce. Similarly, the brook trout was very thin, but tasty. We enjoyed the yellow lentil soup (du jour), but we've had better. Bottom line, food is still good, sometimes very good, just not great.

Our recent dinner for 4 was fabulous. Kudos to our server…read moreand entire wait staff. The expansion, more than doubling the seating space, makes for an amazing ambiance. Every entree was delicious, I enjoyed the Linguini with seafood. And every appetizer, especially the Zuchini and eggplant chips, thinly sliced and baked crisp to perfection. We're looking forward to returning.

The restaurant is beautiful, stark white and ocean blue decor line the walls and give such a clean, oceanside feeling, despite being just off of Hempstead Tpke. It's spacious with a beautiful bar and plenty of tables. I enjoyed a crisp Aperol spritz, and they give complimentary pita that is warm and a dip to start. For the first course I had the patzaria, and they were some of the best beets I ever had, and the skordalia (garlic and almond spread) was the best compliment of flavors. The main was a showstopper. A beautiful whole branzino, perfectly filleted with lemon and capers was expertly cooked, refreshing and delicious! It came with a side of lemony potatoes but I also ordered the broccoli rabe with garlic and feta and was not disappointed. For dessert I had the cheesecake, which is absolutely made in house and creamy and rich. I forgot to take a picture I was so excited to enjoy it! If you're looking for authentic Greek flavors, a beautiful atmosphere and 5 star service, Philia is the place to go. Good job guys.

The grilled octopus was moist and tender .. one of the best I have ever had. The mixed dip tray is perfect for sharing. We ended with the Branzino and loved it. You must try the Greek coffee. This is a perfect spot for a local date night. The owner is such a nice guy and he goes out of the way to make you feel welcome. I found a new local spot for date night.

I really enjoyed it. They have an oyster happy hour. I'm always on the hunt for oyster happy hour. We also got the fried calamari which was nicely lightly breaded paired with a creamy basil sauce and classic red sauce. As well as tuna crudo. We did expect it to be just saw raw tuna but it had a creamy sauce on it. We enjoyed just different than expected. The crostini it came on was delightful. I would come again

It's as good if not better than Kyma in Roslyn . The octopus was superb. The Greek salad very fresh and my surf and turf was outstanding! The steaks are delicious. Maria, our server is the best! Most of us hadn't been to the establishment since it became Plori, and only knew it as the Italian place! The staff was so sweet and accommodating and brought us to our table immediately - a nice quiet corner. We decided to go for a full on tapas style meal by ordering all their apps and only a couple mains and desserts. The highlights for me were the octopus - cooked SO perfectly, it's a must try!!! The Plori crisps, reminiscent of the ones from Kyma - so so so good!! The sauce on the side balanced it out SO perfectly! Their breads and dips were top notch as well! But the star of the show was their signature dessert - a Greek napoleon of sorts which had raspberry and crunchy bits - absolutely insane and out of this world!!!! While they did forget a couple of our items, and we had to remind them, it was overall a great experience, the only real con for me was the cost - it was definitely on the pricier side and portions were smaller than what we were paying for! Regardless - I do recommend for a visit! Such a fab restaurant!
