My husband and I have been patients of Dr Gerayli since she came to Camarillo and we are very happy…read morewith the care we have received from her and her staff. Over the years, my weight crept up to 200 pounds. In March of 2022, Dr. Gerayli suggested that I try Ozempic as a way to curb my appetite. I agreed and she gave me some guidelines for planning my food intake: eat only during an 8-hour period; limit breakfast, lunch and a snack to about 200 calories each and dinner to about 600 calories; exercise regularly. Monthly visits with Dr. Gerayli kept me on track. By taking the Ozempic and following her suggestions, I lost 50 pounds over a nine-month period. My husband and I are very grateful for the helpful advice and counselling Dr. Gerayli provided. My size has dropped from 20 to 12. I am very happy with the way I look and my increased mobility. She was so tacky and assumptive it was difficult to even maintain a cordial relationship. She requested I go through 4 different appointments before prescribing a very common rx that I ve been taking for over 20 years and will take for life. The woman at the end of the front desk was condescending. There seems to be theme in that office. I have zero confidence in them to the point I immediately switched Primary's after the appointment. Awful.

New insurance...new doctor. Sounds like fun, huh?…read more For a couple years I have been going to the Airport Urgent Care in Oxnard and had mixed experiences. When I got my new insurance I had to choose a new doctor and Dr. Alcocer with the Spanish Hills Medical group was recommended by my wife's doctor. I was a little worried when I called in mid January to make an appointment and they had to schedule me in mid February. They explained later on that one of the doctors in the group had just retired and that the other doctors had to make up for all those extra patients. They gave me a call the day before to confirm my appointment and told me to come in a few minutes early to fill out paperwork. I arrived 15 minutes early, filled out a stack of paperwork and then waited to be called. They called me in about 5 minutes later. Woah. 5 minutes...that's awesome. I had an awesome nurse who took all my vitals and got me ready for my appointment and then about 5 minutes later I was visited by Dr. Alcocer. He had an amazing demeanor. He seemed like he was not in a rush at all...he acted like he wanted to know everything about me and what he could do to help me with my regular issues like my asthma. He gave me all the prescriptions that I needed with 6 months of refills so I didn't have to worry about waiting for my pharmacy to call in for authorization. That was such a relief from my previous doctor. All in all the whole appointment took maybe 20 minutes, 30 minutes tops. I was completely impressed with the whole experience and I look forward to having the Spanish Hills Medical Group and Dr. Alcocer on my side when it comes to my health. :0)

What kind of medical professional would decline services to a patient for not being vaccinated? Dr. Neira is a great doctor but unfortunately, I had to switch to another clinic where they are willing to see me in person. This is just ridiculous and inhumane.

I've heard that Dr. Dalsania is an excellent doctor. His medical expertise very well may be a fact;…read morehowever, when he fails to communicate the severe pain involved in a bone biopsy, and the patient has to discover this as the needle penetrates the hip bone, then it is too late! He did give me a choice between the hospital or his office, but there was no reference to pain. When one squirms on the procedure bench, clenching both fist and teeth, he suddenly realizes there is a pain issue. I've had it from a doctor friend that the only reason Dr. Dalsania maneuvered me into his office for this procedure was to put a love note in his wallet. To verify this conclusion, I had another bone biopsy done at the Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara. My hematologist there, Dr. Anwar, didn't even give me a choice. I was to go into surgery under general anesthetic to have this done. The difference was galactic. Just a little pinch, and it was over, as well as my relationship with Dr. Dalsania.

Sadly, I think there was a total lack of communication with the doctor front office staff…read more Important test was supposed to be ordered and the doctor kept telling me it was-- it ended up putting my treatment back over three weeks -- not something you want to do with cancer. Obviously, I switched oncologists. When I was called for the reason for leaving his practice, he did not, at any point take responsibility for not ordering the test - - even with my proof that the lab had not been contacted for three weeks! I think this has probably worked out for the better, as I would not want a Doctor who did not listen to me or take responsibility for their actions.
