I had to explain to him that after my last surgery he had to drain the site several times and wanted to know if we could put a drain in for this surgery. He point-blank said he did not have the prior records right now and did not have an answer for that question. I have now been waiting two weeks to have a lumpectomy (with positive cancer biopsy) scheduled and when I called to see what was going on, they really couldn't give me an answer other than with Dignity taking over it was all just a mess and to expect a call from the scheduler tomorrow. - - Which is exactly what they told me a week ago when I called. An excellent experience here at this surgical center! Understandably Stressed about having a needle stuck in my neck, honestly it was so easy! My nurse, Annette was a doll! My pain management doctor, Dr. Katuzian from Spanish Hills Interventional Pain Specialists, was very kind and explained the epidural procedure and really put my heart at ease! He actually went in with the needle/tiny catheter in my middle upper back and moved it up to the areas in my neck (somewhere between C- 4 and T-1) where the problems are. The anesthesiologist Lori? Laura? She was wonderful! Friendly! Great personality! Explained everything she was doing and made me feel very comfortable. And my recovery nurse was also a sweetheart!
