Over 1 year post-op, and I could not be happier with the final results from my procedure. I had a lower face and neck lift and C02 Laser around my mouth. Before having this surgery done, I consulted with 3 other doctors and read countless reviews. During this time, I was chatting with a good friend. She mentioned she just had a similar procedure done. I wanted to know everything, and I could not wait to see her. A few weeks later, she came over and WOW! We have known one another for years; she looked like a refreshed, younger version of her beautiful self. This is exactly what I was looking for. We also "tested" her new look on a friend who did not know she had this done. When our mutual friend walked in, the first words out of her mouth were, "You look great". We then spilled the beans and told her about the procedure. When I saw firsthand the natural results that were achieved, I made an appointment to meet with Dr. Kolder. Dr Kolder is a good doctor; but he is not a great doctor. His staff is attentive. He performed breast reconstruction in 2020 after chemotherapy for cancer and mastectomy surgery on my left side. That initial mastectomy surgery was performed immediately before undergoing radiation treatment. The radiation treatment caused my tissue and implant to rise and I had whole body symptoms including pain and whole body inflammation that were attributed to my cancer treatment. After few years in April 2024, I decided on a preventative mastectomy on right side with Dr. Kolder at which time I expressed desire to lift right side to match left breast and he assured me he could make it happen without a problem. After the surgery on my last follow-up I asked when I should replace them he said "Never they're virtually indestructible, You can even run them over and there would be no damage." I felt quite assured and relieved that I had made the right decision. Although I was unhappy about the asymmetry. After the surgery he said well you can't expect it to be the same because you haven't had radiation on the right side and we wouldn't give you radiation just to make it match. I expressed my understanding, but that's not what he had told me he could do prior to the surgery. But, I conceded to my unbalanced asymmetric proportions in exchange for peace of mind. A few months later in early October 2024, I experienced whole body shock of pain that radiated from my breasts down my spine! Thereafter, it was constant and persistent whole-body pain, excruciating shocks, neuropathy, basically from my head to toes discomfort and unease with whole body inflammation. I visited Dr. Kolder on October 24th and expressed that I felt that the implants were the cause of my health issues. He dismissed my feelings, basing his response on knowledge after reviewing the Xrays and let me know that the implants were perfect and made of a non-reactive material that could not possibly cause allergic reactions within the body. As a matter of fact, he was so sure about this that he said -- in all truthfulness and I quote (with a witness in the room), "I will bet you my Ferrari that the implants are not the source of your troubles!" He also spoke to me of other patients who have been disfigured by removing the implants with him and were unpleased with their decision and results. Nevertheless, he was willing to take me down that path. I thanked him for his service and left his office. That was the last time that I spoke with Dr. Daniel Kolder. Afterwards, I sought the opinion of various highly regarded Plastic Surgeons in the Los Angeles and New York areas. I was surprised to find out about breast implant illness which included my symptoms. Several diagnosed me with implant capsular contracture on both left and right side. My MRI did not show any implant leaks or ruptures, the other plastic surgeons I saw shared that some of their other previous patients also did not show any implant damage on the MRI. Several Plastic Surgeons explained that most of the patients that had come to them and were experiencing breast implant illness had profound relief of many symptoms after their implant removal (aka: explant). But, they could not guarantee that the removal of the implants would provide me with whole body pain relief. All the other plastic surgeons I saw confirmed time and time again that implants should not be kept for over 10 years! Along the way, I also discovered breast reconstruction technique using microsurgery called DIEP Flap reconstruction using your own tissue was an option. I listened to my gut and removed (explanted) both implants put in by Dr. Kolder. After surgery it is normal to feel pain and discomfort. But, I am not kidding you but the next day after surgery I felt better than I had felt in years!! Nearly all of my pain was gone within a week! And guess what, the surgeon said that my lymph nodes and surrounding tissue were "laden" with silicone and were "reactive!" Not only was my gut instinct confirmed with that, but in addition one of my implants had a never before seen stringy, brownish colored dark spot (within) inside the implant as documented on my surgical report. I was so grateful and relieved to have those implants removed! Since then, I have continued feeling better, becoming stronger and healthier! My advice to anyone is to go for a great plastic surgeon, do not settle on anything less. If I knew then what I know now, that's what I would have done and I hope that this review will help you make an informed and the best decision for your health. My only regret now is that I should have asked for the Pink slip to his Ferrari, because I would have won that bet. *Thank you for reading my review. Hands down the greatest plastic surgery spot in town! I had consultations with 2 other doctors before landing on Dr. Kolder. He was the CLEAR choice. Of course, he is an expert in his field and gave me a consultation and was clear about expectations, and results. He answered every question clearly. Importantly, Geena the surgery consultant gave me a professional folder with everything right in it....pricing, financing, dates, etc. I say importantly because, in my opinion, the other 2 plastic surgery offices were sloppy! (appt times unclear, office wait time too long, sent home w/ doctor's handwritten notes which even as a seasoned nurse I couldn't read!, no professional folder). My face lift came out GREAT. Ok, so nine years ago, Dr Kolder did my facelift. It was a great success and I have recommended him to so many of my friends and colleagues. My lift still looks great but I recently began to notice a few things that could use some help. But first and foremost is always health. I was overdue for a mole check. So I booked an appointment at Dr. Kolder's office (Pacifica Center for Plastic Surgery) with Dr. Rahil Dharia, Board Certified Dermatologist and Fellowship trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon, for a checkup. I could not recommend him more highly. He saw both my husband and me, was professional, calm, and very knowledgeable. We then popped into the medspa to get a bit of Botox from Candy Duffy, R.N., an Aesthetic Nurse Specialist. Again, a wonderful experience. We felt confident in booking another procedure with her and the results were fantastic. She is a perfectionist in her work. I wholeheartedly recommend her. It's so nice to have all specialists in one place, all excellent and highly recommended. So, what did I specifically have done? Ok, I'll tell you. I needed the small lines around my mouth filled, and I got a little braver and had a conservative amount of filler in my upper lip. Candy did exactly what I wanted. I am very disappointed in the results of Dr Kolder's breast surgery. His job was only to remove implants. He took no time to tell me what to expect. Shocked when bandages were removed with one breast actually being concave (removed some of my natural breast tissue) and the other pointing outward. He offered to fix the botched surgery. Also, he acted cool, just tried to explain it, and He Told Me How I Felt! He didn't ask me anything nor did he care enough to listen to what I might want to say. - Just turned and exited the room. So, I've been coming to Dr. Kolder and his office for over a year now. Every time I've been to this office I'm always warmly greeted, made comfortable/feel comfortable and I look forward to seeing this wonderful place and their exceptional staff. I've done profractional laser treatments to my forehead and nose for acne scars. I'm not gonna lie it does hurt. Over the course of a year I've had 7 of these treatments. I noticed some change, but it wasn't as aggressive as I wanted. Long story short.... I had a scar revision to one specific scar affecting my self esteem and pretty much everything in my life. One bad scar can change and affect your personality, I know, it's saddened me for the last 4years I've had it. So we do my revision, and on a tough spot, for goodness sakes it's not only my face, but my nose. Dr. Kolder did a really nice job on the revision, it's healing nicely and after a few days I had my stitches out. Scar looks as though that #*+ch is outta here. Thank you to Dr Kolder!!!!! I had my breast reduction surgery with Dr Kolder in October and it is now my fourth month post op. I came in with breasts that were wildly different shapes and sizes, and I just wanted them off. My only request was that I wanted enough weight taken off of me for the surgery to be worth it. It indeed was worth it and I am so happy I did it and thankful for the work that Dr. Kolder and his staff have done for me. The Staff - all of the staff at the Pacifica plastic Surgery center are seriously so nice. Olga and Crystal are super awesome at welcoming you in and making sure you get an appointment that works for you. Geena was super encouraging and although I only talked with her in person one time, she gave me her number and told me I could text her any questions at any time and she would answer, which she did and she was super quick to respond! Lupita was really amazing at answering all of my left over questions and always makes me feel comfortable during checkups and when I got my bandages removed she was awesome. The staff was also so kind to me when I got sick right before my surgery and happily found me a new surgery time slot. (I think her name was-) Nancy the surgical nurse was so kind and supportive when I arrived for surgery and she was super helpful to get me into surgery and made sure I was comfortable when I left. Dr Kolder himself was always straight forward and honest about what he would be able to do and I was comfortable with him throughout the entirety of my seeing him. I would describe Dr Kolder as highly efficient, so if you're not good at coming up with questions or concerns on the spot during your appointments then I would suggest writing them and bringing them with you. Regardless of this Dr Kolder and The staff was always willing to answer any questions/ concerns I had during my appointments and over the phone. Dr Kolder Breast reduction plan- For my breast reduction Dr Kolder did no drains and used dissolvable stitches. This was my first surgery so I have nothing to compare it to, but overall I'd say I was very glad I had no drains and no stitches to remove, my stitches dissolved with no issues. I was nervous that I'd still have a lopsided chest as Dr. Kolder had to remove literally twice as much fat from one side than the other, but he had planned correctly and my breasts are now the same size which is so awesome. I had Dr Kolders personal phone number after my surgery and although I didn't use it, it was comforting to have the option. Insurance- Another important note was that Dr. Kolder was adamant that the could get my insurance company to cover most of my surgery and he was successful in doing so. He will fight for you to help you with your insurance! Overall I am beyond happy to have had my chest reduced and I have been back to regular life and more since surgery. It pains me to write this as I genuinely liked Dr. Kolder and his office staff, but the depression I've had due to my results is intense. I have had consults with other surgeons since my surgery with Dr. Kolder (one of them being a top surgeon in Beverly Hills) and all have the same consensus--he took a cookie cutter approach to a problem that should have been unique for my situation. I had a tummy tuck along with an explant (removal of implants) and a lift. Dr. Kolder assured me that doing everything all at once was totally fine and he could do it no problem, yet I'm left with horrible visible scars. The placement of my under breast scar should have been under the fold, but mine are much lower and far over into my chest. This was avoidable but now I'm left unable to wear even a sports bra without them being exposed. Further, my tummy tuck incision is wrapped around to my back and there is absolutely no reason for it to be so long. The words inexperienced, amateur and negligent were used by other surgeons to describe his work on me. He offered to do a scar revision at one point and was supposed to give me a call via FaceTime but it never happened. I can't proceed to do that with a surgeon I no longer trust anyway. I am so pleased with my decision to ask Dr Kolder to do my surgery. I had very large babies, and pregnancy took a toll on my abdomen. I first met with him about 6 years ago and immediately felt at ease. I just wasn't quite ready to take the next step at that time. He was so patient, and honest. I've waited 4 years to write a review, hoping for the post-op issues to completely disappear; they have not. I had an abdominoplasty(tummy tuck) and months after the surgery I still had puss-filled wounds that would not heal properly. I had to see a few dermatologists to address the problem as going back to Dr. Kolder's office proved to be fruitless. I was told that the surgery, "was not a home-run" and at that point I knew I was on my own. At one of the post-op appointments, I pointed out that not only were the wounds not healing but my right hip was not as flat as the left hip as he did some liposuction on them, and was told by Dr. Kolder that it should be fixed; it didn't happen. To this day, I also have a large lump above my belly button and after many other doctor appointments and an ultrasound, the conclusion was that it is fluid that is stuck in there and will never go away unless I get it drained. I also alerted Dr. Kolder to this and he stuck a needle in and around that spot and told me there was nothing he could do and had no conclusion. That was also his response to my puss-filled wounds, after I told him I had been to a couple dermatologists. The pre-op appointments, surgery, and the other doctor's I had to see for the post-op issues cost over $10,000 and I'm left with the lump that protrudes from my abdomen and takes away from the flat tummy result that I wanted. Dr Kolder is very fairly priced for his work, Gina worked with my budget and I was able to get what I wanted other surgeons quoted me almost 10k more than what he charged me. I had a mommy makeover, Dr Kolder does good work, won't make you look super fake or distorted but more natural. I originally wanted larger implants but I'm happy with my results and think he chose the perfect size for me! Probably could have been a little more aggressive with lipo on some areas but he is very cautious and good at what he does! So ,, this is my 3rd post in regard to what this Dr. did to me . Please look at my pics and decide for yourself if you would EVER let someone cut you to pieces and distort your body like that . He did it to me with absolute no regret , and instead of fixing his " masterpiece ", he actually dismissed me from his practice after bullying me time after time . No woman should look like that after plastic surgery ! I asked him to reduce the size of my previous implants , instead, he cut me from my chest to all the way under my arm and made me 2 sizes bigger. He was supposed to do small fix on my tummy , instead he did what you can see in my pictures. I have waited a year after my surgery to send this review as I wanted to see how I was healed. I am happy to report I have healed nicely and all my follow up appointments were handled wonderfully. I happened upon Dr kolder after my first attempt at a mommy makeover was delayed due to a broken leg the day before surgery. I was referred by a friend of a friend and found Dr kolder to be more affordable than Kryger in TO. His surgery center is attached to his office which was a must for me. His staff bent over backwards from initial consults to surgery to follow up. He has a great way of being professional with a sense of humor. He delivered what I asked for and then some. It is such a personal decision when doing this in-depth procedure and I am so glad I went with dr kolder. read more

Like other reviews stated, I do not believe he is the doctor to go to. In the past I have used him for a few procedures and I have even referred others to him. This last time, I was not happy with an outcome and went to see him several times, he attempted to "fix" it, however the job still looked awful and I was not happy. I went to see him again and received a response from him that he was "not able to fix it." Very disappointed in his response and how unethical in my opinion as a doctor he would just let his patient look like that. I proceeded to get second opinions and found a provider who fixed his lousy job. I had made an appt to discuss with Dr. Kolder prior to the job being fixed to express issues and possibly seeking a refund for the original work. Geena, at Dr. Kolders scheduled me incorrectly and I received a call that I needed to be seen another day. Fast forward, I had the procedure done with the new doctor, much better results, fixed the disaster Dr. Kolder did. Dr. Kolder would not even refund the amount I paid for the fix, even tho it is less than what it would cost to now take him to court, which I am. In my opinion, he is unethical, does not care if a patient is not happy with the work. All his responses were narcissistic, intimidating tactics, GO ELSE where and look at the other negative reviews, there are many negative reviews about him on here, Go Else where if you can would be my opinion PS, he can try and a cease and desist letter like he tries bullying other patients, but facts are facts and what we say on YELP is public forum! read more

I have been working with Dr. Kolder as a nurse. He is great surgeon and has a wonderful sense of humor. I always love working with him. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to have double mastectomy and immediate reconstruction. I became his patient. He is truly a five star surgeon. ( Is that the highest? ) He eased my fears. He answered all my questions. He is so gentle when I had to come back for post operative appointments. He is so kind. I can go on and on about Dr. Kolder but all I can say is that, from the bottom of my heart, I am very lucky to have him as my surgeon. His office staff are also very efficient and wonderful. They are on top of everything from scheduling my surgery to post operative appointments, filing my paperwork for disability ( that's very important, too). They always have a smile on their face. I had a tummy tuck and breast lift from Dr. Kolder. He did a great job on my tummy tuck but I hate my breasts. They are still huge (I asked for a D and got a triple D) I expressed this immediately and he did nothing to help me. This was about 6 years ago and now my breasts are saggy. If he had listened to me and not made them so large I doubt I would be in this position. Now I'm going to have to have another breast lift and reduction. Not right. read more
