I came here last night (I will post of picture of my receipt with the date and time) the food truck I believe is their #2 truck at address 1120 W 17th Street Santa Ana Ca 92706. I got Carne Asada fries with Cheese and Cilantro. Immediately after eating like about 30 mins later I started to feel extremely sick. I started throwing up in massive loads all night and all morning today. I had to call off of work and I'm at the ER as I'm writing this review to see if I got food poisoning. My boyfriend got plain fried and he was okay. So I'm thinking either the meat or the cheese was rotten. I do not recommend coming here for your healthy and safety. I still feel like shit and I'm still throwing up today. This was the worse experience I've ever had. ----- The owner wrote back to my Google review with no accountability stating they have been audited by the health department. That doesn't mean anything to me. I'm sure they prepare for the audits in advance but I got sick after eating their food. Maybe the meat or cheese was rotten for that day but I wouldn't be here writing this review for no reason. It's 12:31pm 04/15/25 and I have not stopped throwing up. I've been here numerous times before and this is the first time this happens. Came here at 11:30 and I asked what time they close. They told me at 12. So I went to grab a drink in cervecito and came back at 1140 to order just for them to tell me that from all the menu they were only selling asada or al pastor tacos. In a maricos truck? Really? He should've just told me that when I asked him what time they close and I would've ordered then. Sounds like someone is not trying work. read more

I've had SaborCito a few times now, and I'm a little conflicted writing this review. The first few times I visited, the food was great. Extremely fresh shrimp empanadas, seafood tacos, and Aguachiles. However, the quality of food was disappointing this most recent time. We ordered a plate of 6 shrimp enchiladas ($15), and they did not taste fresh. I could even taste pieces of shell inside. Usually they are piping hot and juicy inside, but these tasted microwaved. Hopefully this was just an off night. They have a prime location next to CervezaCito in Santa Ana. read more

Santa Ana is rich in taco and Mexican street food. SaborCito offers mariscos that other taco shops simply do not. The truck opens up late afternoon so it's a good for that late lunch / dinner option. To think my office is just down the street and having been here for 4 years, a visit was long overdue. Gathered the team and said "let's try the orange mariscos truck" Located just off of Broadway on 4th street, a good landmark is the Starbucks. Spot that and look just a couple doors down to spot SaborCito. What did I order? - Battered Fish Taco 4/5 - Pastor Fries 3/5 The fish taco was excellent. Batter was light and flavorful. The fish itself was nice, along with the fresh accompaniments. The salsa verde is very good. I think there's still room for improvement on the tortilla which is why I gave it a 4/5 stars. The Pastor fries were just okay. I didn't have high expectations to begin with since the truck is more seafood focused. Still, I think if you offer it, at least aim for it to par with your other dishes. Flavor lacked, as well as the ratio of protein to the rest of the plate weekly short. From ordering, no line, wait time was approximately 17 minutes. Overall, definitely worth trying this truck out. There's definitely room to improve. While pricing is fair for the taco pricing, the other items are a bit over the standard retail. As I mentioned certain ingredients like the tortillas could see an upgrade and if they address these things they'll get better. Looking forward to trying out the pulpo. read more

Came to Cerveza Cito to watch the fight about a week ago and wanted to try the food truck that was right outside. It definitely did not disappoint. The food was amazing and tasty with the michelada I had with it. I ordered a tostada de ceviche de camaron and the empanadas de camaron both super delicious and fresh. The green salsa was super spicy for me but still nice to have. The service was quick and easy, the only down fall is that you should bring cash before hand because it's a cash only place and if you don't have any you have to go to the atm inside the Cerveza Cito. It will have an additional charge. Overly I definitely enjoyed the food and it was nice to have my meal with a beer. The vibes were great and I like how you could bring your food inside of the location or eat it outside in the patio. If I'm ever here again I will be grabbing another tostada. read more

This taco truck, food van, mobile diner is better than most sit down restaurants. Jairo and his crew run an impeccable business here. The whole truck always twinkles eerily. The staff turns out each order as quickly as humanly possible. The guest service remains consistently friendly and courteous. Each dish Sabor serves tastes savory from bite one to the final chomp. The tacos gobernador with cheese rank high on my shortlist of best shrimp tacos. I am not comfortable with discussing my feelings for the al pastor fries from Sabor Cito on a public forum. Great food! It's in front of the Cerveza Cito brewery. On the day I went, I was told they're coming 5:30-6pm but they were pretty late according to what I was told. Fantastic food, hot off the grill. A great accompaniment to Thursday trivia night. I ordered a taco gobernador, a taco de pastor, and one of their specials: a marlin taco. All 3 tacos were oozing cheese. They came with a jalapeño salsa and a green salsa, along with some pico de gallo and a pile of shredded cabbage. The pastor was ok. The gobernador was really good--tasting of fresh shrimp. The marlin was juicy, which was unusual, but also very good. I'll definitely be back! read more

DELICIOUS. I'll be honest, I'm skeptical to get any type of fish from a food truck. Unless I'm by the beach, I'm not getting anything fishy. I'm easily disappointed and this spot blew me away! I know Suavecito has been building an empire and I thought this was just another mediocre venture. I was proven wrong. Just like the brewery, pomade, clothing, and other merchandise this place was top notch! I am constantly impressed with what "Cito" continues to create. My buddy had the seafood tacos (gobernador and pulpo) and he loved them. I have had many different variations of aguachile (especially south of the border) and this one was top 3! Jose aka "Noche" shows of his culinary skills with Jairo slanging more amazing food from the truck as well. It's a must try if you in the area, puts the Mariscos place around the corner to shame. Didn't look for this truck, but I'm happy I ran into it. So I took a look at the menu, wasn't too appealing but I gave it a shot. Looked like the menu was seafood mostly, but I was able to get the asada tacos. Paid 9$ for three tacos. Got the tacos and ..... it was great. Tortillas were fresh and crisp. It was weird, the texture on the tortillas were amazing. The asada portion was small, but the quality of the meat as good. Chopped small, nice and tender and tasty. Nice work! I was introduced to this place during the dtsa tamalfest (12/17/22). I ordered a rajas con queso tamal ($4) and atole de vanilla ($4). The tamal was extremely small, it truly was not okay to be charging that much for the tamal. The tamal was below average, I think the Northgate ones are better. I'm not sure that tamales are a focal point in this restaurant's regular menu and they just decided to join tamal fest for the heck of it. The atole de vanilla smelled burnt and tasted burnt. It tasted like the atole that comes in packets. They used a 16oz cup, and they filled it only half way. That was not okay. I didn't go back to let them know because there's no point since it was bad and I wouldn't want more of it. Overall, I was really disappointed, their Instagram photos of their meals look amazing but their deliverance during the tamal fest was awful. read more
