We paid our deposit for a move on nov 8. Today (nov 2) they tell us they can't do the move. Waiting for our deposit back.

Not only did I NOT rent a truck, but I have messages I sent Stephanie (his wife) where I informed her I do not drive and she stated this was not an issue. The business could have verified exactly where the locations were instead of blaming the customer that it was "one mile away", which as we can all read is not. Secondly, you will all see the charge I had that is $375 from this company. Chad, Angel, and another mover were all there. This, as we can, count is a total of 3 movers. My quote was for $180 for 2 movers and 2 hours, and anything additional would be $85/hr. I have that message, too if anyone would like to see that. The total move took 2.5-3 hours tops. Lastly and most importantly, anyone who knows me, knows I would absolutely never say the horrible, sexist things Chad states in his previous comment. My assumption is that he says I said these things because he knows his company is not insured, he never offered to fix my $700 table, and he stated "use liquid nail" and essentially drove away. As most of you know, liquid nail is not how to resolve this issue. PS - I moved on May 19, 2020. This was clearly not 6 months ago and life happens. It took me a little while to think about how I wanted to address the issues here.

Leading up to the actual move, head mover Jack came to asses and take measurements to be sure that they had the right equipment and everything. Jack was thorough, smart, and very easy to chat with. On the day of, Jack and his team were awesome. We had a complicated job with some really huge items, and two different delivery locations, and Jack didn't flinch. He even texted me updates throughout the day so that I was clear on timing and aligning with my staff. Thanks Four guys!

WRONG: I had to make an inventory of things I wanted moved. I didn't realize that if an item wasn't listed on the inventory they wouldn't take it. I had to have them come back for an estimated additional $1300-$1600 dollars. They were supposed to be here around noon. At 12:40 I called and was told they had a 2 hour window. I had had to make arrangements with friends based on 4 Guys arriving around 12. As I don't drive I needed to have a ride to the new address. My ride couldn't do the later time so I had to scramble to find another. It's now 2:45 and no truck. When I called a got a very calm person who began to explain why they were late. I told him I don't want explanations or excuses so he offered to call the whole thing off. I was almost speechless as I'm under a deadline. Would not recommend them: not reliable.

They were amazing from start to finish! They were also the most reasonable price of the 4 places I received quotes from. Tyler and Pat showed up right on time and moved quickly and carefully and were always so pleasant even though it was 94 degrees out and both places they were loading and unloading were on the 2nd floor with no elevator. At first I assumed the job would be too small for a moving company, but after umpteen delivery services sent me quotes with high rates-- *and* wanted us to help load and unload! -- I decided to call Boomerang, since they did such a good job moving us into our home earlier in the year. Boomerang actually charged *less* than what all those delivery services were asking for, and of course they did a careful, professional job, because they actually know how to move furniture. Nathan and Christian got these extra-tall bookcases down a curving flight of stairs, around tight corners in a narrow hallway, through the doorways and into their places without putting a scratch on either the bookcases or the walls. Moral of the story: Even if you just need to move a few pieces, hire professional movers -- specifically, hire Boomerang!

NES Movers were some of the best (tied with Excalibur Moving Company in LA for best movers ever). They arrived early and I swear, NEVER stopped moving. It was like the Hulk had four children and then those children drank double-shot espressos. The owner, Nick, was efficient, nice and hyper. I had gone to Woodstar and bought a to-go box of coffee for everyone, but they didn't touch it. Probably didn't have time between running. They treated everything with care and wrapped extensively with blankets and plastic. Even after a 3,500 mile trip in a moving van that I'm pretty sure doesn't have shocks at all, nothing was broken. They did an excellent and professional job jigsawing everything correctly into the truck and belted it with straps (we purchased straps from them). We were in a midst of an incredibly stressful cross-country move (to say the least), and they were one of the best purchases we made. Everything was done in record time and it gave us more of the day to get the rest of the moving errands done. Thanks Nick and team! Tip -- they use more blankets than movers we've hired in the past; be sure to have many on hand.
