The whole process was very efficient and a good experience. I was able to sign up for CPR through Evergreen and due to COVID-19 the usual school class training wasn't an option. Our instructor Shane was kind enough to set up training in his back yard. He kept everything very professional and taught class at a very good pace! I first took Shane's CPR class through my nursing school program. I enjoyed it so much and thankfully, we had his information to contact him again for a second class. Shane is SUPER accommodating and flexible with the whole corona virus thing going on. He makes sure his equipment is wiped down after every class and has a limited amount of people so that we can safely physical distance. He even purchased shades which he hung in his backyard to be more accommodating. Couldn't ask for a nicer instructor. Shane came to my class to give us CPR training and he was a wonderful instructor. His training was informative and easy to follow; he mixed his humor which made the class more fun. He had the dummies to practice on plus knee pads which really helped while giving CPR on the floor. This was my third time recert-ing my BLS CPR card, and my first class with SABA Training. Repetition really makes things stick! Shane, our instructor, shared relevant experience from his work as a paramedic, which really helped solidify understanding in the classroom setting. My favorite tip for making sure all on scene are safe when using an AED is verbalizing/observing that 'I'm clear, you're clear, we're all clear' then proceeding with an advised shock. I have recommended SABA Training to current EMT co-workers and I look forward to recertifying with SABA in years to come! read more

Shane was a great instructor. I took his class for recertification, and I learned more in his class than the others I have taken. He is very knowledgeable being that he is a paramedic. He shared some of his own experiences with the class to give us an idea of some scenarios that could occur. He is really friendly and flexible. I took the class during COVID-19 pandemic and he made it possible. He followed every requirement from the disinfectant to the social distancing. His lecture is clearly and straight forward. Highly recommend him if you want to take a CPR BSL class. Shane is a good CPR instructor. He's not boring and got some laughs out of us throughout the day. He's also very knowledgeable since he has been in EMS for 10+ years. He emphasized all the important aspects of CPR and made sure we got it down. Overall, I would recert with Shane whenever it's time. Hope whoever is interested in taking it with him decides to do so. I first took Shane's CPR training two years ago in compliance with my nursing program requirements (and just recently renewed this month), little did I know how useful his instructions would be outside of my clinical setting. Not long after taking my first class with SABA training, my worst nightmare as a mother occurred when my one-year-old daughter ended up choking on a piece of apple she was eating. In that split second of absolute terror, all of my hands-on training from Shane's course came rushing back and I threw her upside down and over my knee and gave her a few good thumps! Out came the apple and a devastating outcome was completely avoided. So thankful I had that knowledge/muscle memory and was able to react quickly. EVERYONE should know CPR! Shane is a marvelous instructor that actually makes learning CPR fun! He has a brute charisma and knows how to work with a diverse group of individuals. I thought Shane was a great instructor and made getting certified as minimally complicated as possible. My opinion probably never would have changed, except for the fact that he does not get back to his clients when they need to be re-certified. I have a friend who has also reached out, after my recommendation and he never got back to that person either. He is very hard to get a hold of, does not return a call or respond to an email, even out of common courtesy or to simply say "I don't need the business" or that he's booked up. He does not seem eager to meet the needs of his clients in a timely manner. I'm bummed to leave a review like this, but maybe if he sees that he is not providing excellent service to all of his clients, he may work on improving things. read more
