Luis and Bryan were super professional - disassembling our Ekornes to ensure it would fit through our narrow stairway, and carefully hauling our new sofa up said stairway without a scratch. I had chosen the Alexander sofa along with the Maisie rug, and I had concerns about the rug having white patches on one side of it as seen in photos online as well as the in store pictures. I was then assured that it was a vintage look and that there was wear and tear, and that the rug I would receive would not look like that, and if so, customer service would work to provide me a "fair" solution. Now once I received the rug, my worst fear came true. One side of the rug is completely bleached/faded and it looks so cheap. Obviously everyone I contacted at Interior Define did not offer a "fair" solution, they only offered their standard return with expensive shipping and 15% processing fee. They kept saying that the bleaching is done purposely and is part of the design. What about the fact that I had raised these concerns with Blake ,my designer, and was told that this would not look like that OR else I could get a fair solution. To add insult to this, this is a Loloi rug and now I see that it is available on Overstock/Amazon at half price. I paid 795$ for this, and other sites have it for 330 to 400$. They will obviously refuse to price match. Now I am really worried about the quality of the sofa that I have ordered with them. There is no way I can call the store and talk to a real person. Obviously, I am going to avoid making another purchase from Interior Define, and post this to as many groups/social media as possible to inform others of their shady methods. They have one of the worst customer service policies. I have worked with good stores like Arhaus, Crate and Barrel, CB2 and have never faced such service before.

Even though my townhouse is about 10 miles from the store, they charged me $49 for delivery because I live in the District. And on the day of the delivery, the 'delivery' was one skinny guy with a pickup truck. No way he was going to get the mattress up to the 3rd floor by himself, so my husband had to help schlep it up two flights of stairs. So, in effect, we paid for the guy to get the mattress to us on a pickup. I kind of feel like they should pay US for the manpower we provided to actually deliver the mattress to the bedroom. I picked up a Hoya Compacta Hindu Rope, a ZZ plant, a Philodendron Lemon Neon, a Bromeliad, a Crassula Jade, an annual, and a six inch Euphorbia Firestick cactus. Every plant looked healthy and well cared for. Since it was a quiet Wednesday morning, I got very personalized attention, but honestly the service here is always excellent even when the store is busy. The staff makes every customer feel valued, no matter how many people are in the shop. The prices are higher than big box stores, but the quality and care of the plants make it worth it.
