I don't know if I got any pictures, but musical instruments were place in the play area for the free spirit child. Also, there is a child museum on the grounds, which we didn't get a chance to visit, but the children had fun, and that was the goal.

Many of them are in shaded areas. The city does a good job at maintaining the grounds. The guy was very sweet and said he forgot to flip the "Closed" sign. Ticket prices are reasonable. The forest isn't huge but it is nice and peaceful to walk through. When you purchase a ticket you get a walking guide. There are numbers through the forest that you can stop and read the guide. There is a small gift shop and a fun museum to walk through as you come back in from the forest. I also love that they are pet friendly.
