We brought our own food and used the soda fountain on board the boat. There were about 20 of us aboard the ship and everything from the planning to the actual event on board was "smooth sailing!" We had a 4 hour reservation, ate in the AC on the lower deck, and danced the day away on the upper deck. It was hot, but there are covered areas upstairs to help beat the heat. Captain Jason and the crew were gracious hosts and very friendly to our family. The captain also invited me to the wheel to drive for a bit! I am new diver and just started with diving classes here. First they didn't try to oversell me and actually tempered me back from buying essential gear that I either wasn't ready for or didn't need. Second they called and reminded me about online classes twice before the classes started. When I showed up the first day they had four trainers all with different personalities and allowed us to visit and group ourselves with the ones we felt most comfortable. Next they never tried to yodel me and when I wanted to buy my BCD the owner went home and let me use her sons free of charge during my next session and for the open water certification. When I paid for my new gear she told me to wait on the accessories because she wants me to try it in the pool before I spend more money. Also when asking about different computers and regulators she was extremely honest and actually sold me the cheaper older model rather than the new shiny one because they were basically the same. Then came the discounts, you LEO or prior service, discount, you take your classes their and but your gear there discount. You rent tanks and gear then come back and buy your stuff there, discount. I just started scuba but when I go to their shop, I feel more like I am hanging out at my cool cousins house than at a business. Maybe people want Nordstrom's type customer service, but here you might have to wait a few minutes because one of the local divers just got back from a cool trip and is sharing their story. Or maybe someone just started and feels sore because their mask was too tight and is getting some advice. All in all I really enjoy the customer service and it's worth a slight up charge when you know you can always come in and get the help and advice you need.

That turned out to be completely inaccurate. After pickup, a major delamination issue was discovered along the bottom of the hull between the bunks, with missing gel coat and compromised fiberglass. This is not minor wear--it's a serious structural problem that requires thousands of dollars to repair. This isn't something subtle or easy to miss. It's the kind of damage a marine dealership should immediately recognize. Failing to disclose it--while describing the hull as "good"--is, at best, careless and, at worst, intentionally misleading. When the issue was raised, there was no accountability and no effort to make it right. If this is the standard for how equipment is evaluated and represented, buyers should be extremely cautious. Do not rely on descriptions--inspect everything yourself or be prepared for a very expensive surprise.

There was no transparency about pricing upfront, and when I asked for a breakdown or receipt, it was vague at best. To charge that much for labor alone, especially without providing or sourcing the parts, and with the work being done in the comfort of his shop is completely unreasonable and feels like a rip-off. I expected more professionalism, honesty, and fairness. Be cautious--shop around and get everything in writing before agreeing to anything with this mechanic.

He charged us $680 for parts then ended up needed a new drum for one of the tires. It took over a week for him to come back and replace the drum and new brake. He then charged us another $1040 dollars for that part and labor. We later found out that is much higher than should have been paid for parts and labor. We pulled the trailer a few weeks later and had the tire that he replaced the drum on come off. It sheared all but one of the lug nuts and completely destroyed the rim and the brand new drum. We were stranded for over 4 hours waiting for a mobile unit to come and bring us a new drum and lug nuts as we couldn't even put the spare on as there was no way to attach it. We have spent every time we have pulled it since then trying to get the brakes readjusted and now have it in the shop because the brakes were constantly smelling hot and the tires were very hot. He not only ripped us off but has caused us 100's of dollars more trying to get the brakes fixed again. Thankfully we didn't wreck or have our tire hit the other oncoming vechile when it blew past us while we were doing 50mph and crossed over in front of the oncoming car. DO NOT USE HIM!
