He was friendly and gave us a few ideas where to fish and told us no rush to get back at noon if we wanted to stay out a little longer. We got back about 1230 and friendly dock hands came running out to help us arrive. Boat was pretty clean and ran well - we really can't think of any issues. There were four of us and we all caught fish - bass, bluegill and catfish. The adjacent bar and restaurant next door (Pelican Cove Grill) had live music and was busy and inviting but we had plans so didn't stay. There will be a "next time" for sure!

He literally did that to my girlfriend and I today at about 3:15 outside Pelican Cove Grill.  We parked in a handicap spot, with our handicap tag displayed properly. As we walked in he asked her, "are you going to stay long because that's a handicap spot." I told him to mind his own business, and he lost it. He said that it was "HIS" business (repeating this several times for emphasis despite Pelican not actually being his business). I told him she had Rheumatoid Arthritis and he told me he was getting security. I was too appalled to stay and eat so we left. So big shout out to Dale Shepherd for harassing people who don't look handicapped enough to his liking. Next time we'll bring crutches (provided that's ok with Dale).

I do not recommend this mobile mechanic. I was charged $650 for a brake job, for my truck and…read moreshockingly, that price did not include any parts--just labor. I provided my own parts. The truck was driven to and work was performed in the shop. The job was worth no more than 300 at most. There was no transparency about pricing upfront, and when I asked for a breakdown or receipt, it was vague at best. To charge that much for labor alone, especially without providing or sourcing the parts, and with the work being done in the comfort of his shop is completely unreasonable and feels like a rip-off. I expected more professionalism, honesty, and fairness. Be cautious--shop around and get everything in writing before agreeing to anything with this mechanic.

He charged us $680 for parts then ended up needed a new drum for one of the tires. It took over a week for him to come back and replace the drum and new brake. He then charged us another $1040 dollars for that part and labor. We later found out that is much higher than should have been paid for parts and labor. We pulled the trailer a few weeks later and had the tire that he replaced the drum on come off. It sheared all but one of the lug nuts and completely destroyed the rim and the brand new drum. We were stranded for over 4 hours waiting for a mobile unit to come and bring us a new drum and lug nuts as we couldn't even put the spare on as there was no way to attach it. We have spent every time we have pulled it since then trying to get the brakes readjusted and now have it in the shop because the brakes were constantly smelling hot and the tires were very hot. He not only ripped us off but has caused us 100's of dollars more trying to get the brakes fixed again. Thankfully we didn't wreck or have our tire hit the other oncoming vechile when it blew past us while we were doing 50mph and crossed over in front of the oncoming car. DO NOT USE HIM!
