Victor is easygoing, eager, approachable, affable, honest, and chock full of integrity. He's also a human and like some other reviews note, he spends some extra time just getting a feel for "what does the customer really want" before making a suggestion. He is the type of person who you can actually trust, a rare thing these days. We made our deal, he noted the rains approaching, and he got the job done the very next day. I'm sure he can't always be quite that responsive but it was pretty awesome for me to get such premium service at a price I was comfortable with. When the job was done, there was one tiny little "oops" where my water meter got covered. I mentioned it and asked if I was being too much of a princess asking him to have his guys come back and dig it out, certainly I can spend the 5 minutes to go get my shovel and take care of it, but then again I was a paying customer. We really liked the idea of utilizing recycled concrete as a building material, and though many other local companies offered this option, none we spoke to were confident that they could also incorporate brackets to attach our fence posts to, which THE WALL was able to, nor did they have the reputation of THE WALL. Rick came out promptly and gave a reasonable bid, and once our date came up in the waiting list George, our project foreman, came out and reviewed the project and the following week was out with a crew (we had a delay due. to the Thanksgiving holiday). The crew was great, did excellent work and worked quick! The project changed very slightly, reducing the amount of wall to be constructed, and THE WALL was quick to credit us the slight difference in cost. We are super happy with the results! We used The Wall to make two small retaining walls in the spring of 2024. They used wire mesh,…read morefabric and metal poles seated deep into the ground as the wall. This is some new system of their's. The contract we signed called for them to use crushed rock to backfill and soil to cover the rock. They used, without our notification or consent, bags of light weight material like pumice or gypsum in plastic bags as the fill instead of rock. I uncovered these bags after they left the job site and, when questioned about the matter, they claimed this was all our wall needed. I should have made them dig up the bags of fill and made them use rock but they assured me it's how these things are done for small projects like ours. After the workers were made aware of our concern and discovery of the bags, they became quite hostile to us. The job site manager was especially rude and made disparaging remarks about previous work done around our place by another company. Now, 16months later, the wire mesh is bulging out excessively between the poles and the areas where they used the light weight bags has sunk down and is soft to walk on. I would not trust this company to perform the job as spelled out in their contract and, if things don't go well, expect hostility on their part.

After reading the rave reviews online, we contacted General Contractor Cutberto Garcia, via his cell phone, told him that we wanted something that looked like stone but was more durable that had little pops of color. We went with a grayish concrete with specs of green "rosemary" color embedded in the lightly stamped surface. The surface couldn't be too rough either since we wanted patio furniture to sit straight without wobbling. 24 hours later he was standing in the dirt of our backyard, examining the property, measuring and doing a few calculations. After listening to our ideas, Garcia (he prefers being called that because he thinks Cutberto is too hard to remember) brought up example photos on his cell phone and we actually chose our colors from those examples. Kinda quirky but it worked. Garcia's english skills may come across as limited but he knows exactly what he is doing. All work is performed in a professional manner, in accordance with the latest standards, preventive measures, safety protocols, regulations and codes set forth by the commission of Beaverton. Garcia's estimate is free and you are under no obligation to contract for his services. Garcia hires only skilled and experienced workers who have the knowledge to complete any project, quickly and efficiently. All the guys who worked on our project were courteous, professional and at the end of each day the work area was cleaned up. They even wrapped the bottom back of our house in plastic before pouring the concrete in case of splashing. I really appreciated that. Because of a few days of wet weather, our concrete pad took a little extra time but the way it turned out was perfect and we couldn't be happier. Pouring a concrete pad was also about one-third the cost of what a new deck would be, and that's a Good Thing. GS Concrete does most any kind of concrete job: kitchen floors, basement floors, driveways. I highly recommend GS Concrete Construction and General Contractor Cutberto Garcia and his crew. I just told them I needed to wait for The City's approval prior to moving forward. Well in that timeframe they decided they didn't want the job and haven't answered calls, texts, or emails since. I even told them it's fine if they don't want to do the job. I'd just appreciate being told rather than ignored. So yes it looks like they do good work, but they might also leave you high and dry, so avoid them if you value peace of mind and reliability.
