Dejected, I was going to give up and just sweat my way thru to the weekend, when I passed SSAR, and the bay doors were open! Taking a chance, I stopped in. I was greeted warmly by the receptionist and a very adorable shop dog who was happy to keep me company while I waited. They were closing but the owner Lindsey must have had had pity on me, because he worked on it himself. Absolutely no coolant left, so he checked it via vacuum, and put UV dye in to make sure there isn't a problem. Reasonable price for the recharge, and he went above and beyond my expectations. DO NOT GO TO FIRESTONE!!!…read more I've had many issues with Firestone in the past, and I really don't have many good things to say. For one, I had to reschedule an appointment three times to get my high pressure ac hose replaced. The first time, the Firestone in Springfield told me that I had to reschedule my appointment because they wouldn't have enough time to replace the part, even though the specifically told me the the given time would work while I was setting up the appointment with them over the phone. The second time, the Firestone in Springfield ordered the necessary part for my appointment, then sold it to another customer. The third time, the Firestone in decatur on Main street told me that they forgot to order the part for my appointment after thirty minutes of waiting. Then, finally, the part was finally replaced after over a month of appointments. I also had my radiator thermostat replaced by this Firestone, and they improperly bled my radiator system. One summer hit, my engine overheated constantly, due to the simple fact that there wasn't nearly enough coolant in my radiator lines. After a multiple hour long appointment to figure out why my engine was overheating, I received a call telling me that they couldn't replicate the overheating in my car, and refused to service it. While driving my car the next day, my engine was overheating out of control. I called this Firestone to see up another appointment, and I was told to take my car to the dealership. After doing my own investigating, I found that my radiator line was close to completely empty. Had the Firestone technicians taken off my radiator cap, they would have found this issue instantly. Overall, I've had my fair share of Firestone appointments, and I would recommend anyone to NOT GO TO FIRESTONE! No matter the location, even the second one in Decatur, they're all terrible. I was even charged $150 for an oil change...

Well first off I had read other reviews which made me decide to take my SUV there. On the other…read morehand. They had my car for over a day and said it might be something serious like wiring or the brain box. I took it in there initially for what I was told when I had it diagnosed from a plug-in third cylinder misfire. All they did was change the third coil and charged me almost $250 for a coil plus labor plus half of a diagnostic fee. Only for it to start running bad again not even 2 weeks later. The lady that they have answering the phone is very rude. They also left half of my air system pieces off and it had I not looked under the hood I would have never got those put back on a week after I got it back. I feel they are very unprofessional because when you tell them you're on a fixed income they put the most expensive stuff in your car. So now I'm going to have to go somewhere else and probably put another $400 to $600 dollars in my SUV when they could have just given it a tune-up in the first place. I hope they wasn't taking advantage of a woman but that's who I am and that's what happened. I will never send anyone there. The only reason why I gave them one star is because I had to to leave this review. Thanks I almost want to call the BBB.
