Great place! A couple of months ago I came here in a pinch and I haven't gone anywhere since. My usual service is a gel manicure and pedicure. Sometimes they try to sell a more expensive pedicure (e.g. lavender spa pedi) but the basic service is still amazing and affordable! There is a great selection of color and they have a good eye for matching hands and feet (definitely a bonus). I have very short nails and they're precise when painting. The place is extremely clean and big. The pricing is fair and definitely worth the money. My gel nail color lasted close to three weeks and my pedicure lasted more than a month. I went in to get my nails done as a treat for my birthday and left very unhappy. Don't go when they are busy, as they just rush through the job. I asked to get ombré done again as I loved how they did my nails before. My nail technician said "no we do French this time because you'll get sick of ombré again". I asked again for ombré and she said no. When she did the white, she never asked if it was ok. I asked her to make it a tiny bit thicker and she said "no, doesn't look good" and kept going. Worst experience of my life. A male with glasses who did my SNS manicure and did a horrible job. He didn't apply the SNS correctly and destroyed my cuticles. Once it was time to remove the horrible job done at this spa, my nails grew fungus and are EXTREMELY sensitive and weak. I would not recommend this spa to anyone! read more

To be frank, I'm surprised at the positive reviews. I gave two stars only because the people here are kind and the salon is very pretty and clean. That's it. In regards to doing nails, this place needs better improvement. I came here with my mom and we both got gel manis and regular pedis. I did not appreciate how the nail polish was sloppily put on...I have polish that goes past my cuticles. It wasn't clean or neat. Also that same day the polish on my mom's toes already came off that same night. Both my mom and I addressed our concerns with the workers and they were kind in listening to us and fixing the issue, but there are other places that I will go to get my nails done. Also it would be great if you guys would stop trying to upsell everything, I understand business is business, but it makes a supposedly relaxing experience, a nuisance. read more

I have used SHE salon for more than a year, and have been relatively satisfied with services and pricing. However, the last 3 or 4 visits pricing has continually changed. I used to pay $25.00 for an acrylic fill in, then it went up to $26.00, then it jumped to $30.00 and if you want your nails shorter? They charge an extra $5.00. They also change techs throughout the course of the manicure and typically do not provide normal, customary manicure services, like using cream on hands, and/or checking cuticles. Also, they use an electric filer which often hurts and they keep using it, regardless of complaints. I think their nail polish is watered down-so it chips very easily and if you want a certain brand or color, it's $5.00 extra. That said, I bring my own polish. Pedicures typically came with a 10 minute massage. Now it's a 5 minute massage. When I questioned the price jumps, with manager Sarah, she said "It's because of Covid" (???) I asked for a call from the owner- Sarah said the owner doesn't speak with customers- There are many reviews online for SHE that have similar complaints. Customers should know the pricing of all services prior to getting anything done so they don't have the chance to up the pricing. Connecticut Department of Health accepts complaints on salons: Pricing and Advertising The price list for all services must be posted in a conspicuous place in the salon. No salon may use any advertising which is misleading or inaccurate or misrepresent any materials or services, terms, values or policies. In the end, trust your instincts. If something doesn't look or feel right, trust your instincts and ask questions. If you become uncomfortable or experience unexpected pain, immediately interrupt or stop the service. If you received service, but you were unhappy and want to file a complaint, then you can do so through the state department, Connecticut Department of Public Health. Decided to come here after passing this establishment while in the area running errands with my wife. And to say the least I wasn't left with a good taste and or feeling on the treatment we experienced by the staff. Even after establishing what service I needed it was still a push to go up in package, which after being put on the spot is kind of an off guard tactic I'm sure they use all the time. And keep in mind the price jumps quite a bit when you upgrade, so please pay attention to the cost. Also they have a tech who goes around and offers massages which appear to be included BUT ARE NOT INCLUDED...... So after my pedicure which went good the same nail tech did my manicure. But for some reason my wife nail tech was swapped when it came to the manicure portion of the service which was pretty upsetting as I felt it was favoritisms towards returning customers. He didn't address that someone else would be performing the manicure he just started on another customer as if she didn't exist. And my experience in the past at other establishments is that your nail tech does both unless specified. The nail shop itself is pretty clean and well designed,no complaints there. Not too impressed with my recent experience. I've been going here for years. Mostly powder dip nails sometimes gel. Last week I went to take off my powered and put on gel. The nail technician was sloppy with my hands didn't seem to care and wanted to rush. She was trying to rip my powder off with a metro train card and it hurt instead of soaking them and using the drill. It honestly was painful I got gel done you could still see the powder under them and they chipped the next day. I've had powder gel, two pedis and an eyebrow wax so far Will comment that the actual nail painting seems slightly rushed. First time customer ( currently watching the flo) I'm the only one sitting doing a pedicure then mani and possibly lashes.... points for cleanliness... slightly more pricey...but I'm a stickler on great service and when I feel a certain kind of way only one way is to express it....#share... So after 20 minutes being the only customer (melatonin) two other customer showed up and started doing their service ...10 minutes apart.... water was given to them next to their stations where they are being attended- no questions asked - But only to I guess certain clientele... I'm not gonna lie; it's just water - but a bit bothersome thing I witnessed as a first time client..surly not sure if I'm willing to do my lashes at this point.... still unsure.... or just won't return But the free wonderful massage in the end was life ! I brought my girlfriend here and she absolutely loves the environment there! As for me, it was a comforting setting! Upon walking into the store, there was a pleasant welcome from everyone there! As you walk into the store, it feels like you entered another realm, giving you a nice oriental feeling; quite heavenly if I must say! The amount of services that the store provides is great! As my girlfriend came there to get her nails done, I was there for foot reflexology. After going through the foot massage session, it was very refreshing! A last minute decision to make time for some self love and self care led me here. I was pleasantly surprised at the short wait time for service. While the establishment has a constant flow of customers, what seems to be a good mix of regulars and first timers like myself, it was never uncomfortably packed. Every customer was greeted as soon as they entered by pleasant and upbeat staff members. You could hear some laughter scattered throughout between the clients and the staff as though they were old friends catching up. It was a very calm and relaxed atmosphere. I came in for a mani-pedi but was worried and cautious of some recent injuries. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating with me. They made sure I was comfortable as they worked on me without skipping a beat. The finished product was good. I wouldn't say it was the best I've have ever received but it definitely wasn't bad and there was nothing I would have gone back and spent time to have redone or complained about. It was good. The only real problem I had was figuring out how my total came out to what it was. It wasn't outlandish but it was higher than anticipated. I loooooved this place until I got a terrible nail infection from the powder gel. I had to get a needle stuck into my fingernail at the doctors to drain it and be put on antibiotics, in which the doctor told me it was most definitely a bacterial infection from the nail salon. Gross. read more

I stopped in to get a manicure recently and got the powder nails! They last so much longer than gel nails. I work in 2 restaurants and they last me about 3 weeks without chips! The first time I got a holographic color and most recently I got pink and blue ombré which was new there and they came out gorgeous! They really protect your nail and help them grow. read more

I received a basic mani-pedi which felt a bit rushed. Pedicure lacked some effort (pumice strip kept falling off which prevented her from scrubbing well) and was a little upset that my nails (mani) were cut very short after telling the woman how I wanted them. By far the worst mani/pedi I have ever received. The pedi massage was a joke for the entire 15minute duration. It ultimately ended up being annoying. I could not wait for it to end. The polish very bumpy. As for the manicure I asked for no cuticles to be cut just pushed back but with the limited English all cuticles were cut. And then there is the polish... what can I say but bubbles bubbles bubbles on EVERY NAIL. This place is a joke. I was looking for a place closer to my home than Westport but I guess it was not to be. I've been here twice so far, both for gel color manicures, and have had two great experiences! Both times I had Sarah do my nails. She's friendly, listens to what you want, and does a great job!
