I took it to the service counter and told them my problem, that I just wasn't strong enough to finish getting the tire on and just needed the last and hardest part. I came to pick up the tire, and they charged me for a mount and balance 55.00. I pointed out that I had not asked for any of those things. They said we would take off the balance, 40.00 dollars. Again, I said I did not request any of the services they provided. Just get the eye roll from the service manager. So this is my experience with the new loanstar sport sharps. They will do whatever they like and you will enjoy it.

To the credit of everyone there including Eric, they worked hard to find me the boat and options I wanted and help narrow down everthing I wanted in a model I could be happy with. However, I spent nearly 2 weeks working on a deal for a Seadoo boat and tried to get them down about $3000 on the price. They only came down $1500 after I began speaking to a different dealership. When I said I was going to use my own bank, the Finance guy tried guilting me by talking about how he spent a day trying to save me .25% in interest ($11.11 per month on the payment). He tried selling me $7000 worth of addon packages. His tone was condescending and disrespectful. He told me the service package was good with LoneStar Powersports, but if I paid more I could get the package to get service with other dealers. The dealership I ended up buying from not only charged much less, but also verified the dealerships near me (I'm in a different state from Lonestar Powersports and the other dealership I purchased from) would honor the service package. I appreciate the callback from Eric after my initial review, however, the call ended abruptly (I got hung up on) as I was trying to offer my personal opinion on how they could have made the conversations work better for me.

They had it, just too lazy to look. I was lied to from the beginning to the end! I was even told by the service dept that it was full of gas but the gauge on the new ones takes a bit to register!! Got on the water and ran out of gas in 5 minutes! I've bought from Kent's Harley Davidson, crown powersports, a Kawasaki dealership in grapevine and freedom power spots in Hudson Oakes and never been lied to and treated so terribly. Big shout out to the boys in the service department at Tripp's Harley in Amarillo, Texas…read more I was in Amarillo for the weekend (from Colorado) when my engine light came on Saturday at 5:30 PM. We made it to the service department about 5:45 PM. The guys checked on my bike. Did a couple diagnostic tests and realized my regulator had gone bad. By the time I walked around the showroom and looked at some soft good stuff. They had a new regulator, and a new battery in my bike. I was back on the road right at closing time. Those guys were super nice, super friendly and very helpful. Great job diagnosing my bike within minutes and explaining what and why they were doing what they did. 100% percent Satisfied with these guys!! definitely go to Tripp's Harley in Amarillo, Texas. :-) SURFER DAN, Telluride, Colorado

I had the misfortune to break down near Amarillo recently in my '87 Westy. What a mistake coming…read morehere. I had an ignition system problem, no spark. I was charged $400 to fix a faulty connection on one of the wires to the alternator. It was all labor, time spent chasing down every conceivable thing without doing the obvious - jiggling a few wires while trying to start it. He didn't have any other cars to repair and kept my van in there for hours. Even though his guys were obviously stuck, doing research online and reading the repair manual, he didn't help them. He told me he's too old to do the work. He looked healthy enough to at least supervise and make sure the obvious stuff was checked. The owner ripped me off not his workers, who are nice guys and try to help. They have nothing to do with what this guy charges, which is way way over the top. He has two vans like mine that he uses for parts. They were left by their owners when they couldn't afford the ridiculous amount he wanted to charge them. I'm just glad there wasn't more than a broken wire; he probably would've gotten his paws on mine too! Avoid this place at all costs; have it towed in to Dallas if you have to.
