Alright. I had to get a Maryland state inspection for my car and came here because it was close to home. They got me in quickly and charged a fair $70 for the inspection. Unfortunately communication seemed to break down at different times. Apparently my care failed the inspection, but that wasn't made immediately clear to me. When I did figure that part out, i was told I could have them fix the issue that day or come back within 30 days without having to repay the $70. I didn't have time, so I went and had a friend fix the issue later that week. When I came back in, got a quick re-inspection, got my certificate, and was charged $20 re-inspection fee. Just a bit frustrating that this was not disclosed. To be fair, there was a piece of paper displaying this policy above the counter, but my interactions with the mechanic on the initial day were not held at the counter. Again, just a communication issue. I'm a fan of expectation management. $20 is a fair price for re-inspection, and if I'd known ahead of time I likely wouldn't have even thought twice about it.
