At 10 30 I get a call saying it was checked and can be picked up in a few hours. Huh? I will say the place was clean, easy to access, and reasonably priced. They sorely need to update their website and work on emails. The website still mentioned covid restrictions and had the price of state inspections lower than the actual price. I emailed them attempting to set up the state inspection but never received a response. If you don't want to deal eith email that's fine, but don't offer it as an option snd then completely ignore it. I would gladly go back to this shop again if they have reasonable rates.

The owner is professional polite, the shop is clean, and they were done in one work day. Seems like most of the complaints are about costs. Good maintenance/repair costs money. Wrecks and higher insurance rates cost more. Of course, no one is happy about a much higher bill than what they walked in expecting. That doesn't make this a bad shop, its means perhaps the person can't really afford a well maintained vehicle.

I don't like to pay for replacement parts from the dealer (which appears to be the rule in this area of Maryland) but in this case it worked to my benefit. As for inspections, I have heard the same story about just about every repair shop. While I appreciate the level of scrutiny, it appears like a one time chance to obtain a lot of work. Coming from a neighboring state , I was naive as far as the costs and the 30 day requirement for findings to be resolved. A lesson learned the hard way. I have found the Walt Eger team to be responsive to my needs and to provide timely informative updates.

James is at the front desk never called or gave me any updates, my car was there for weeks, He saying that my warranty should have called me but my car IS AT YALL SHOP, y'all have the details but James act like he don't understand things and really don't know how to talk to customers he is very rude ! I couldn't get it fix so I wanted it back to my house, So I TOLD THEM A DAY BEFORE that the tow truck is coming in the morning, I called James and I told him is my car ready and clear for the tow truck to get it and he said YES! So they waste the tow truck money and time because they throw Snow and and it freeze into ice on me car and around it and I had to call another one and I gave them some time told them to call me when I they are done so I can get another tow truck! So I called back James was like we been clear the ice off your car and I told him why u didn't say another, THEN HE JUST START LAUGHING THEN THEY THOUGHT I WOULD NOT KNOW BUT IS A BIG DENT IN THE BACK OF MY CAR THAT THEY DAMAGE! I spent well over a thousand dollars for them to fix things that did not to be fixed while ignoring the actual problem. The worst experience I had there was when I asked the lady if they could fix my cigarette lighter/phone charger. I told her that it was NOT the fuse and was the wire, because I just had it looked at. They replaced the fuse anyways and the wire was still broken. It cost me 15 dollars which I figured was no big deal because Im not the type of person to complain, but this resulted my car being totaled and catching on fire when it caused an electrical fire, which the tow/salvage company just confirmed. I just got off the phone with the woman, telling her briefly of my regrets, asking if there was any way she might compensate or help my situation /in any way/, (I was not asking for all of my money back or to pay for the car, I said compensate or help in any way), and she made it very clear that she was completely uninterested in talking to me. Because of this, I am leaving bad reviews, and telling the people who have highly recommended them to me to go other places, which they have, and they are losing business because of it. I sincerely hope they read this review and try to help the situation but I doubt it. All it would take is a partial refund of some of the "services" they offered me but they just dont care about customer service. If you take your car there they will probably do what they charge you for, but if youre like I was, ignorant of car maintenance, and have an appearance like youre lower class (despite my chemistry degree and working in the health field, I apologize but I dont dress up to get my car fixed), and are not an assertive person who doesnt complain when they dont fix your car they will take full advantage of you. I should add that they replaced my muffler when my car was making noises (600 dollars) which did not fix the actual problem, and my exhaust system literately broke in half less than 3 months later. I called them to let them know and they said it wasnt their fault because the exhaust system broke in a different area. Well, maybe when you were diagnosing my car you should have noticed that the pipe connecting my resonator to my catalytic converter was extremely rusty. I could have replaced the ENTIRE exhaust system for under 300 dollars labor included, but I made the mistake of trusting the great reviews this place has gotten and family member that recommended them. I have lost over 1 grand there and many hours I spent personally learning how to fix my car, just to have it explode in a fire costing me another 2500 that the car was worth because they did not do the service they charged me for. Despite this, the lady cannot be bothered to even have a conversation about helping me in any way. I'm sure they are stressed and have problems but they do not deserve to be in business, and I can only hope I can help people by telling them to avoid them at all costs.

I made the mistake of turning in my rental to them and come to find out enterprise found damage with the rental that was not there when I dropped it off. And this time I brought my car in for an oil change and I had a problem with my car making noise they looked it over but didn't find anything wrong. However they did tell me that I needed tires so I ended up getting my oil change and four tires at a reasonable price better than if I had gone to a Sam's Club or Costco to get tires.They mounted them balanced and did everything they needed to do. I will not be taking my car back to the dealership if I need any work done on my car I will definitely bring it back to Prince Auto . The service was quick they didn't try to upsell me and tell me things are wrong with my car like they do at the dealership to get more money. If you're looking for an honest repairman that's not going to try to get more money from you for car repair and that is reasonable Prince Tire and Auto is your place. Yesterday I called to inquire about a tire plug/patch as well as an oil change and they were awesome over the telephone. They quoted me a reasonable price, and asked if I could have my vehicle there by 0800, because they can get me in and out fast. In return, due to my work schedule I told the gentleman that I wouldn't be able to make it in until around 0900ish, which he informed me that was fine it just might be a longer wait. They took my name down, and scheduled me. Well, this morning I got off work, and showed up to this place slightly around 0930, walked in, and met with the gentleman at the front desk, checked in, and the gentleman behind the glass in the room, cut my conversation off I was having with the front desk, and told me their booked up now so it will be a while. After being interrupted, I ascertained about the turnaround time, and he told me Monday. Keep in mind, originally it was only going to be a slightly longer wait for being there around 0900, and all I was getting done was a simple tire plug/patch and oil change. So how does one tell me over the phone a slightly longer wait to now a three day turnaround??? Fri-Mon. Needless to say, they didn't want the business, I tried to support a local shop. So I just took my vehicle to GoodYear, and was in and out within an hour. Plus awesome coupons to go with my purchase. Sad, and I wouldn't recommend. Perhaps allowing your front desk staff to do their jobs without you interjecting would've been more understandable.
