7-Eleven - Free small Slurpee for 7-Eleven Day 07.11.22

I wrote a review for this 7-Eleven on 4/9/2018 but due to some technical issues with Yelp, the…read morereview, located at the below link, isn't searchable. https://www.yelp.com/biz/7-eleven-severna-park-5 Here is my review . . . again. Bottom Line: A brand new 7-Eleven, complete with gas pumps, just a 1/4 mile north of its former location. The 7-11 in Arnold's College Village shopping center faithfully served travelers on northbound Ritchie Highway for decades! As of the end of March, this 7-Eleven has a new and improved home, about 1/4 mile north on Ritchie Highway at Jones Station Road. The new location consists of a brand new store and eight gas pumps. The store was built from the ground up and is probably twice the size as the old location. Everything inside is bright and sparkling. They have the basics like a soda fountain, coffee and ATM machine. I also noticed that this new location has a lot more cases for hot food and a refrigerator with bait. Of course you can count on 7-Eleven for lotto tickets, Slurpees, snacks and bottled beverages too. Unlike the old location, this location has gas pumps - eight of them! They have three grades of gas and pumps #1 and #2 have diesel. This new location is substantially busier than the old location, probably thanks to the excitement of something new in SP, the addition of gas pumps and a better location. It seems like they've definitely added staff to scale with the increased number of customers. Since this location is at an intersection with a stop light, it is more accessible to those traveling on southbound Ritchie Highway than the old location.

Sheetz - Exterior of store

I'm glad we're finally getting more Sheetz in Maryland! Not that I still don't have a favorite…read morecompetitor, but variety is nice too! This Sheetz is about the same as most, mostly pros with a few cons. The cons are mostly to do with the MTO (made to order) foods. With their fried offerings, you're playing roulette. Sometimes, they're perfect. Other times, you can tell the oil should have been changed a while ago. Sometimes the experience is great. Other times, it ends with a few rumblies in the tumblies... if you know what I mean. Still, it's mostly all plusses here. Their gas is priced competitively, because they're banking on you coming in to order food and buy snacks. Which, for a convenience store, they have a HUGE variety to choose from! My fam and I love the Wisconsin Cheese Bites, but, again... see above note on the quality of their fried offerings. I also love that they have Johnsonville sausages as a near constant option. I do wish they had a bigger/better variety of sandwich options, though. The quality here is also only okay. All things being what they are, though, it's a great location with numerous options to fit most any appetite and preference. Very glad to have another Sheetz in town!

I was in the area picking up some lunch and noticed this new convenience store and gas station…read more Since it was next to where I picked up my food, I decided to give this location a try. The gas station area was well maintained. They also squeegees, window washing solution and paper towels at every pump. I rarely if ever see them at gas stations anymore. The inside of the store was well organized and clean. I also liked the customer service. The manager was friendly and provided good customer service. When I am in the area, I will stop here for gas. From my experience, the Sheetz brand has been pretty clean, so it's great to see one in this location.

Tucked just before the eastbound side of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge you will find a small cluster of…read moregas stations. One of them is a well known chain that offers a very standard selection of snacks and drinks. You know them, and you know what they have. I suggest you go the more exciting route. This unassuming Exxon station is home to the best tacos and biggest burritos in the area. The Taqueria has plenty of reviews, and is absolutely reason enough to spend your gas and snacks money here instead of next door. It isn't the only reason, though. The gas station convenience store selection is more than enough on its own. The chip selection is great, and shows that they understand the customers who are waiting for an order of tacos. Their soft drink possibilities are similar, with a mix of standard sodas and canned fruit juices. They also have a well rounded stack of baked goods. Nobody bakes a cake as tasty as a TastyKake, but some of the Latin bakeries come pretty close! You can also play the lottery, buy bait, stock up on pet food, and even find a new pen and notebook. Just a small bit of everything as you head towards the remainder of your day. It's convenient and run by an owner who obviously tries to stock something for everyone. I'd love the layout to be changed just a bit so that those waiting for their food orders aren't all crowded near the gas station register, but I understand that you have to work with the space you have. There are two (indoor) single occupancy bathrooms. They don't sparkle but are at least as clean as the other spot, and are used less frequently. They exist solely for those who realize that traffic is backed up and the next few miles over water might be torture. Skip the big guy next door. Stop here instead!

I'm probably in here about once a week for dinner, typically one of their freshly made sandwiches…read morewith a hot side or soup.  Here's why I'm a very loyal fan: the bread is ALWAYS fresh.  It's a soft sub roll, never stale, never unappetizing.  The deli ingredients and toppings are usually quite fresh as well, but to me, the foundation of a good sandwich is the bread, and I don't know how they do it, but Wawa never disappoints on that level.   They are toasting sandwiches now, which is always good.  Their mac and cheese is pretty spot on for what it is.  Their soups are usually quite good, and they will gladly offer you samples of whatever you'd like.  The menu updates fairly frequently, so there might be new items that you haven't tried before.  For instance, they've been doing quesadillas for a little while now, too.   The staff are always very friendly and approachable, even after hours and up late.  We were so glad when this location opened, and on a week night when I've been at the office entirely too late, nothing says comfort food like a dinner from Wawa.  Thank you so much, gas station food bastion!  You are the example that others should follow! I wrote the three paragraphs above about 9 years ago, and I stand by it today. The only difference is, they now finish baking the bread in-store, so it's even MORE fresh than before. They've also expanded their deli offerings quite a bit, but I still come back to the standard sandwich and soup or side. I'm also nearly addicted to their brand of flavored teas, especially the diet ones. (Trying to watch the sugar intake). They almost always have them on sale 2 for $2, which is also a bargain in addition to being so tasty. Oh, and they've also started offering online ordering. Total time saver! I do wish you could use the rewards in-app and not need to bring the phone to the store. It's a long story, but anyway... still nice to have rewards. Keep doing what you're doing, Wawa! I'm still a huge fan!

I don't frequent this one in Gambrills but I can certainly understand the poor rating. Went in today for lunch and ordered a chicken burrito bowl and small chicken noodle soup. Usually the bowls are pretty decent but not today! The rice and bean were not cooked properly, they were hard in places. And the guy who made it didn't put on the chipotle sauce so it was very dry to eat. I think there was about a half a teaspoon of guacamole that I paid extra for. The chicken noodle soup was mostly broth. And to add insult to injury it was 15 dollars for subpar food. It is very difficult to find workers that care. Sooo disappointed with Wawa anymore.
