After months of wanting to come, I finally got an opportunity to try Rãramen. The inside was definitely smaller than I thought but luckily it wasn't that busy. I decided to order the sweet tea with the rara omurice which was delicious. I loved how the waitress cut it open for me and covered it in curry. I could only finish about half before feeling sick so I couldn't order dessert unfortunately. It's definitely a pricier ramen place but it was still great. I definitely recommend if you're looking for something to eat in Flowers.

We walked into RaRamen and were seated by the window. The space is small, but it doesn't feel cramped or uncomfortable. We started with the butterfly potato shrimp, the braised pork bao, and the chashu bao. I'd skip the butterfly potato shrimp. It had an odd flavor, and the texture was off. I wouldn't call it pleasant. My sister enjoyed her braised pork bao, but the chashu left me wanting more. The pork slice was paper-thin, and at over four dollars per bao, I expected something a bit more substantial. I originally tried to order the omurice, but it turns out it's only available on weekends. There was no note about that on the menu that I could find, which was frustrating. I ended up with the black garlic ramen, and that turned out to be a winner. The broth was rich and full of garlicky depth, perfectly balanced without being overpowering. My sister had the ground pork chashu rice, and it was also fantastic. The house-made yum sauce really tied it all together. Overall, I left with mixed feelings. The ramen and rice bowl were both excellent, but the appetizers and the lack of menu clarity brought the experience down. Considering how far I had to drive to get there, it might be a while before I make the trip again.

This was a nice restaurant, personally nothing out of the ballpark but I still enjoyed it! From being seated, to the moment we paid, the workers were friendly and attentive. They served us with smile on their face and made us feel welcomed. Our appetizer, the karaage chicken, was delicious especially with the yum-yum sauce. Our entrees could've been better. I had the "beef rice", and the steak tips? were mediocre at best. They tasted like the same ones I made at home, not like an authentic Japanese recipe. All in all, the service was great, the food was good but has room for improvement, but I do recommend you all try it out for yourselves!

This place was good! I am not a big ramen fan, but my wife is and wanted to try it. We got 3 different dishes. All three pictures were taking after we started eating so the presentation was messed up but they do a good job. Our server was great too! Tonkotsu - really good. Classic ramen flavor. I enjoyed it and my son loved it. The pork was delicious. 4/5 Beef - again I don't like ramen, but this was amazing! Nice smoky flavor to the broth. Just incredible. My wife (who was the one that wanted to come here) thought it needed a bit more flavor and some heat, but overall it was good. 4/5 Chicken rice - A.. wait for it... mazing! I am big on fried rice. This one was worth the money! You can get it with white rice, but why?! lol Jk. The chicken was very well cooked and the marinated soft boiled eggs were delicious. 5/5 Overall a great place. Expect to spend $15-20 per plate and leave very satisfied.

We've been eagerly awaiting Ra Ramen's opening for months and were so excited to give it a try! We've been once for takeout and once for dine-in and both experiences were great. For takeout - the packaging is really nice. All of the fixings are separated from the broth, so the noodles don't get oversaturated while you're traveling. I was able to place an order online and they even called me in advance to let me know my order was ready. It was an effortlessly smooth experience. For dine-in - we were seated right away, service was friendly, and it's evident that they are listening to all of the soft opening feedback. The food was tasty, egg noodles were a great texture, and the curry ramen was massive! We were stuffed afterwards. For milk tea - I love the taro milk tea. Important note though! You have to add on the bubbles (boba) if you want them. It doesn't come with the base drink! Overall so pleased to have Ra Ramen in Clayton! Go give them a try!

Casual ramen restaurant in the Flowers Plantation area..think somewhere in the middle between fine dining and fast casual. You are seated and order with an employee, but there's a casual element to this as well and the place is super open, airy, and cute. There is ample parking however no handicap parking nearby, so that was a bit of a hassle for my party. I ordered a brown sugar milk tea with bubbles to drink and it was good, not the best and definitely not the worst. I also ordered the spicy miso ramen with a side of black garlic oil (deep nutty flavor deliciousness). The ramen was cooked well with a nice bite, the broth had a subtle heat to it, a little on the salty side for me, and the egg and meat were cooked perfectly too. I will say I felt like I was missing more veggies. The bean sprouts and mushrooms were great but I felt like I needed more crunch. Overall, the ramen was delicious and affordable. Service was fast and friendly. Would come back!

I mainly went there for the Omurice which is a specialty Japanese dish. It's chicken fried rice topped with split soft omelet and traditional black pepper sauce. I got that while my son got the Spicy Miso Ramen with chashu pork. The meal was incredibly delicious albeit on the pricey side for a lunch menu ($60 with tip). They also have milk and bobba tea available. They are a new business and would recommend them! Note: I am not complaining about the price since it's about average for these foods but my concern is the location in Clayton. The unique cuisine can outprice the local patrons. The place was very clean and minimalist with cute booths. The service was fast and attentive.

This is a new ramen spot in Clayton. As soon as we walked in, we were immediately seated. Service was quick and friendly! The overall look of this place is amazing and clean. I would recommend a rug at the entrance since it was very wet when we walked in from the rain. Food wise, the broth was very good, the pork was good, but the noodles felt very thick for ramen. The karaage chicken is decent but I feel like it needed a sauce since it was kind of dry. I do feel like it was frozen since the chicken looked dark. I wish the ramen came with corn and not separately Overall this place is okay for ramen

It photographs beautifully. Unfortunately, restaurants aren't judged on lighting. We ordered everything upfront: Banh Xeo (explicitly no shrimp due to a shellfish allergy), Cha Gio, Pho Tai, and the Chef Special. Somehow, not everything was entered correctly. The Banh Xeo arrived covered in shrimp. Allergy clearly stated. It was sent back immediately. We were told they could remake it, but it would "take a while because it takes a long time to make." Banh Xeo takes under 10 minutes in a properly run kitchen. We declined and assumed the rest of our meal would arrive promptly. It didn't. The egg rolls weren't just fried, they were fully baptized in oil. One bite and it felt like chewing on a sponge that lost a fight with the fryer. Then we watched tables seated at least 15 minutes after us receive their food before we did. When we asked about the remainder of our order, we were told it had "just been added" and would take a while. Pho taking 35+ minutes in a Vietnamese restaurant isn't high volume. It's disorganization. The Chef Special was decent. The pho, which should be the backbone of the menu, was underwhelming. Several tables around us had incorrect orders or long delays. The owner circulated, but instead of urgency or accountability, the energy felt inconvenienced. Here's the reality: great atmosphere can draw people in once. Food and leadership bring them back. If you're going because it looks trendy and buzzing, go in with eyes open. The aesthetic might be the star of the room, but the food should be.

Five stars, no hesitation…read more I heard about Sono Sushi through Resy and finally made it in. It's located in downtown Raleigh on Fayetteville Street, right next to the ABC 11 studios, easy to find and a great spot if you're already downtown. The ambiance is great and fits the food well. There's a nice mix of seating, tables along the windows looking out onto the street, high top tables, traditional dining tables, and a sushi bar if you want to sit up close and watch everything being made. It feels lively without being loud, and works well whether you're there for a date night or a more casual meal. We started with the Aburi appetizer, torched salmon belly, ooba, salmon roe, Japanese seabream, yuzu kosho, and ponzu, and it was outstanding. Everything worked together perfectly, rich, bright, and balanced. I also ordered ikura and ebi, even though I meant to order ama ebi, but no regrets there. Still excellent. We shared the Poke Roll with wakame, avocado, cucumber, mango, tuna, salmon, hamachi, and Sono poke sauce, and it was very good, fresh, flavorful, and well composed without being overdone. My wife ordered the spicy miso ramen and loved it. The broth was the star, deep and comforting, and the pork chashu pieces were massive, in a good way. I went with the chicken katsu curry, panko fried chicken thigh with house curry and koshihikari rice, something I haven't had since Little Tokyo in LA a few years ago, and it tasted like home. Comforting, familiar, and exactly what I was hoping for. For drinks, I ordered the "SONO? SO-YES!" entirely because of the name, but also because I love blood orange. Casamigos Blanco tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, coconut cream, simple syrup, and blood orange juice, it was excellent. My only complaint is that I wanted more of it. My wife got the Okinawa Spritz, a play on an Aperol spritz with passionfruit, and it was even better than the original. We finished with the yuzu cheesecake. I debated between that and the ube cheesecake, but since this is a Japanese restaurant, yuzu felt right, and it absolutely delivered. Overall, everything from the food to the drinks hit. This is a place I would happily return to, and honestly, I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

I think it was just at the height of rush hour and they were doing their best- I would just pad your expected time here because it is quite popular. Loud environment, concrete floors with no rugs or anything. LOVED the Gyosa!!! Like table slapping good. Some of the best I've ever tried. Ordered the Grand Piano and Umi Kazan rolls, both good with shrimp tempura but the Grand Piano was far "denser" with the blue crab in the middle. The Umi Kazan was my favorite with the shredded crab on top. I liked the assortment of options and how you could customize if you wanted. Also ordered a Malbec wine- quite good. Our waiter was very accommodating, just slammed for the dinner rush. I'd definitely return! The neon koi fish and paper umbrellas were stunning.

I hate to rate this place a 1-star but the service during this visit was disappointing. Some of our friends arrived about 30 minutes before us and ordered something small while they waited. When we got there, there weren't enough seats for all of us, so we asked if we could move to a larger table. The staff told us we couldn't because our friends had already eaten, even though the rest of us were planning to order. On top of that, our water was never refilled, which reinforced the feeling of being an inconvenience rather than a guest at the restaurant. I remember the service being much warmer when I last came here about two years ago. I was excited to see the new market/shop front and updated seating, but unfortunately the service this time made the experience feel pretty unwelcoming.

The cold bibimbap was refreshing and well-balanced -- fresh veggies and a nice chilled contrast to the hot wings. It felt light but still satisfying.
