The shredded chicken was tender and generously portioned, and the soft-boiled egg was cooked perfectly with a rich, jammy yolk. A friend ordered the Spicy Tan Tan, and I tried a few bites. Flavor-wise, it was excellent -- rich, bold, and deeply savory -- but it was extremely spicy. Definitely delicious, just something to be aware of if you're sensitive to heat. We also shared a hand roll, which was a great addition. Fresh, well made, and nicely balanced, with good quality fish and seasoned rice. A solid bite to have alongside the ramen. Overall, everything was filling and genuinely delicious. Ingredients tasted fresh, portions were generous, and the flavors were thoughtfully done. Daijobu is a great spot in Raleigh with an excellent ambient for dinner. Service is great as well, staff is very nice.

We had the spicy miso ramen that sported a lot of chicken and a delicious broth. Very bold yet balanced flavors. As for the three hand roll set that we ordered we found out we are not real fans of hand rolls. I should have looked up what makes a hand roll a hand roll. (It's the nori, the seaweed wrapper, that sets it apart in the world of sushi.) The salmon, yellowfin tuna, and crab were so fresh that they tasted fishy to us. Again, I believe it's user error that this dish didn't fly with us. We used the soy sauce mixed with wasabi to disguise the fishy taste. Lesson learned.

While the food was good enough, the service, vibe and bill were a huge detriment. First, the server seemed like she didn't want to be there. Didn't bring one of our children her salad even though she ordered an adult meal. The chef was ok but he didn't do the flaming tricks like the volcano. He was mildly engaging. The two worst things were when the bill came and the restaurant tacked on an additional 3% for using a credit card. A lot of places are doing this so ok, but I paid with a debit card and merchants aren't allowed to up charge for that. They did anyway and I didn't really know the law until after we left. The second thing was the gratuity was already added. I don't mind that, especially since we were a party of five, but they calculated the tip based on the food cost AND tax and gave themselves a healthy 22% tip. Then, at the bottom of the receipt was a list of "Suggested Tip Amounts" where they calculated based on the food, tax, and the pre-added tip! Really?? I think a pre-added tip of maybe 18% is appropriate, but not 22%. The service wasn't that good. I let that slide because it was a birthday celebration and I didn't want to be that customer. The final kicker was when we were leaving. Apparently we weren't getting out of there fast enough and my daughter heard one of the wait staff say in Spanish she wanted us to hurry up and leave. Wow. Over-tipping for mediocre service and a bad attitude will not bring us back there. Get your act together, Kaze.

Even the restroom reflected an impressive attention to detail- immaculately maintained and elevated with amenities such as lotion, Q-tips, and climate control. This spot is good for a fancy date night! My husband opted for the lunch special, which included soup, salad, curry, and a side of sushi. He absolutely raved about the curry. I chose the fish wontons alongside the Raleigh roll, which was exceptional; the addition of mango on top was perfect with the lobster tempura for me. I am also always appreciative when a sushi place can accommodate my addiction to add cream cheese to any roll- they made it work! Service was prompt and attentive. The green tea leaned slightly earthy for my taste, but it did little to detract from an otherwise outstanding meal. I would gladly return and recommend this spot to groups seeking high-quality sushi in a polished setting.

Bin was my server, he was great. I started with the grilled scallops, they were small, but were grilled & seasoned perfectly. I then ordered the Alaskan Roll & the Ajisai Roll. Both so fresh and delicious. I enjoyed the experience. There's great ambiance, it's vibrant and modern. There's plenty of seating at the bar. There are plenty of tables inside and several outside.

I chose the hibachi table and was seated with others about ready to order. Thankfully I looked at the menu ahead of time so knew what I wanted already as the ordering started with me. Our waiter was new and didn't speak very loudly and was a little confused of what was included. So that turned out good in a way as I'm not a fan of onions so instead I got the zucchini without onions as we were asked whether we wanted zucchini or carrots. Then there was confusion with the soup and salad as I was asked which I wanted when both were included. The waiter made it right and was trying and friendly. He also kept my ice tea filled so that is a sign of great service. The chef was also friendly and I was given a sample of my filet to see if I liked how it was cooked. So I liked that too. The filet was delicious. It was plenty of food to make a second meal but I didn't take any leftovers as I couldn't keep them at a safe temperature so that is just a downside of travel. I will be back to Kobe again.

Then, if that weren't enough, as my husband was eating his food, he spit out pieces of wire. When the owner/manager was told about it she only wanted to offer a 20% discount. We live in the area and I will never, and I do mean NEVER, eat here again. The whole place should be shut down.

Rich flavors and high quality ingredients result in a very deep flavor you look for in a warm bowl for ramen. The quality to price ratio is great here, I think it packs the punch of a premium ramen, but at a lower price point. The curry was also fantastic, very thick curry and the tonkatsu pairs super well with it offering great variety in texture. The calamari I thought was pretty normal, nothing crazy here, thought it was a bit over priced for what was offered. Service: The service is fast, you order at the front desk and then pick your own seat. Food comes out quickly, even during standard lunch and dinner hours on both weekend and weekdays. Ambiance: The inside has plenty of seating and a fun entrance. As soon as you walk in the store you are greeted with a wide variety of drinks and small figures that you can purchase.
