This was a really fun and trendy sushi spot in Polanco. I came here after a long day of traveling, and the staff was really kind and accommodating with helping me get a spot at the bar despite not having a reservation I will say that the service was slightly slower despite it not being a very busy night I'm not sure if this was because I was a walk-in, but the sushi was still prepared deliciously and I really enjoyed it. Extremely tasty and they have a few fun drink options as well!

The food was absolutely amazing. We were seated at the bar and got a close up of the chefs making all the food which was fun to watch.

Loved the vibe and food at Ryoshi. If you're looking for a spot that has fresh ingredients, great value, and a vibrant atmosphere, this place is a must-visit. We had the sashimi and that was the star of the meal. A generous portion of fresh fish and our only regret was not ordering another. Their wasabi is freshly grated and I recommend ordering one for each person. The wasabi portion is pretty small. They are also known for their Tuna flight and had lean and light cuts to rich, fatty toro. Overall this spot has high-quality ingredients and surprisingly reasonable prices.

Mexico City is not sanonomiuos with seafood or sushi. As we walked by Ryoshi, we noted a crowded restaurant with people laughing and smiling while enjoying a meal. The inside space was beautifully decorated and yet not overdone. We had made reservations and were seated to order appetizers. We started with the tuna tostadas and beef dumplings. They were delicious. We ordered 5 separate sushi rolls. Unfortunately, I don't recall the name of each roll. I can say that the rolls were flavorful, had good contrasting tastes and were unique. We enjoyed all the rolls and went home full. Our feeling is that Ryoshi was an excellent choice for sushi in Mexico City. Overall, beautiful setting, good attentive wait staff, delicious food and a good variety of choices.

Hands down the best restaurant and best service I've ever experienced. Such a yummy place. We got the Mocktail with lychee Baby carrots Rice bowl Edamame Banana dessert Sushi And other items I forgot to take pics of. Amazing place and I will be back in Mexico City just to eat here. Incredible experience

My absolute favorite meal during my Mexico City trip was here. Food is excellent. Service is excellent. Ambiance is excellent. We booked a same day reservation on open table and got dinner date seating where we can see the open kitchen line prepare food. There is so much pride that goes into the offering and presentation of their food. Npthing we ordered was lacking from the corn to the yakitori and tuna sashimi flight. I'm going to remember this meal for years to come.

Ryoshi is such a great vibe! We were able to book online before visiting mexico. No wait-- got seated inmediately. Outside and the entrance is very elegant with the big bolded name on the wall with big doors in front. This place is huge. They seat so many people each night and it was packed when we went on a weekday evening. We were given the best service-- coat rack and water service was great. The food was amazing. I loved the banana dessert! Worth it if you are on a trip to cdmx! I had a great time thank you :)

My girlfriend and I really loved this place! We didn't have reservations but they quickly offered us a spot at the bar. The service was fast and everyone was extremely attentive. Food was delicious and definitely hit the spot. The atmosphere was fun and not too overwhelming. Will be coming back!

It's in a trendy area and upscale although we came dressed mor casual. It's on the second floor and has amazing ambiance. We ordered the dynamite roll, crispy spicy tuna, truffle salmon, miso soups, caterpillar roll and tuna truffle roll. The truffle roll has to be one of the most amazing rolls I've ever eaten, if you like truffle of course. Everything else was amazing as well. The dynamite roll was great and I highly recommend literally everything we had. They also have great drinks, we had a mexcal maracuja drink and lychee martini as well as hot sake. For dessert we chose the tres leche cake and the truffle ice cream cream brûlée. If I say I have never tastes anything as amazing probably almost in my life as this truffle ice cream!! I know if we would have gone to a restaurant of this magnitude in the states it would have cost double of what we paid here. The service was excellent and Samuel and everyone was so attentive.

Wrong, the food was great, beautiful people seated everywhere and friendly, warm servers. Smoking was allowed in the restaurant. Even though none of our party smoked, the tables were spaced far apart enough that it wasn't an issue. Very, very good sushi/sashimi. Not Masa, Nobu or Morimoto good, but could hold its own amongst most other well regarded Japanese restaurants. Glad we were able to find this so close to our Polanco hotel. If you're looking for good sushi/sashimi in CDMX, you won't be disappointed here.

We make it a family tradition to eat sushi in every city we visit. Being in Polanco, Mexico City's…read moretrendiest neighborhood, we assumed we were about to experience sushi greatness. To be fair--the quality of the fish was five stars. No complaints lthere.Unfortunately, that's where the smooth horse ride became a donkey ride. The service was a solid two stars. Our waiter was clearly trying his best, but this restaurant desperately needs another waiter. We waited so long for sauces that by the time they arrived, we were already halfway through the rolls. It took about 20 minutes for the first dish, and we ordered what we normally order for my wife and I and our 3 teenagers six dishes for five, which then arrived one... at a... time... with long, awkward pauses in between. The specialty rolls are teenie Weenie and very skimpy on the fish. One of my sons wanted another roll but not willing to wait. Best roll of the night was the Alaska roll--credit where credit is due. Now let's talk money. I don't mind spending on good sushi. I expect to. But $3,950 pesos ($232 USD before tip) for five people and leaving less full than a typical sushi night in Los Angeles? That one hurt. Back home, we eat for the same price--and we leave satisfied. Upside: only three green teas were ordered, but they were excellent, high-quality, and probably the most consistent thing all night. Bottom line: amazing fish, painfully slow service, small portions, and a bill that made us double-check the exchange rate. If you come here, drink a full glass of water beforehand to feel satiated--or bring a snack. I wanted to give them a three but I always do with my wife wants and she said give them a four to be nice.

I've wanted to eat at Nobu for a long time, and this experience left me underwhelmed…read more I came in for an early dinner - 4:30pm - and there was only one other table in the restaurant. The reason I mention this is because I felt very rushed to eat and get out, and there was no reason to do so. I ordered 5 dishes. When I'm in a nice restaurant, I shouldn't have to ask the server to only bring one dish at a time - it should just be assumed. I ordered my selections, the server asked what order I would like the food delivered, and I told him the order in which I gave him the selections - but the tempura and sushi could be served together. The miso soup came first. Ok...not what I asked for. I requested the oysters first, but not a big deal.... Then the oysters came while I was still enjoying my soup. I wasn't concerned yet. The oysters are on ice and can sit for a minute. After I finished those 2 dishes, my elote-style baby corn was delivered. This dish was probably the biggest disappointment. The menu indeed said "baby corn", but I was imagining corn kernels done elote style...kind of like an esquite, but a high-end restaurant version. That is not at all what I got. I got little baby corn - the kind that come in a can - dressed up with elote style seasoning. This dish was $345MXN (~$17USD)!!! SERIOUSLY?! The cost on that dish has got to be an 800-1000% markup for something that shouldn't be served in a fine-dining restaurant in the first place. I took a couple of bites - and then my tempura came while I was still nibbling on the disappointing baby corn that I was simply eating at this point because I didn't want it to go to waste. I pushed it aside for my tempura entrée. I eventually let about half of the corn dish go to waste - and I hate wasting food. Nobody asked if I enjoyed the dish, or why I didn't finish it. I didn't necessarily expect them to remove it from my bill (although when I was working as a server, that's what I would've done), but it would've been nice if someone had asked for feedback on why I didn't finish it when I cleared every other plate. As I was enjoying my tempura, I noticed the sushi had not yet arrived...did they forget? The *one* dish that I said could be served with another dish is the only dish that was *not* served with something else. I finished my tempura. The sushi finally arrived, so thankfully they did not forget it. I ate my sushi, and my dishes were cleared. I was delivered the dessert menu. I said "no postres, gracias", and the server ignored what I said and walked away. I simply wanted the bill at this point, but I looked anyway to see what they had to offer. After all, I was basically being forced to do so. The server comes back, I ask for "La cuenta, por fa", and I receive it. As I'm glancing over the bill, I notice a charge for "cubierto - $16MXN" (silverware/cutlery). Ok...that was the last straw. I realize that it amounts to about $0.80USD, but that's not the point. You're nickel and diming your customers in a nice restaurant to the point that you're charging them for chopsticks??! And maybe the use of the water glass as well...but, that just about sent me over the edge. I'm already paying enough for the food that the cost of utensils should be included in the price. I have *NEVER EVER* seen a charge for something like that in my life. I paid the bill and I left 10%. That's *VERY* hard for me to do as someone who used to work in fine dining restaurants, but I had to send a message. And I realize 10% in Mexico is probably not as insulting as it is back home...but I needed to convey that everything was disappointing - especially the service. Nearly everything about my experience went wrong. I was in and out in about 45 minutes - maybe slightly longer. I'm sad to say, I will never be back - at least not to this location. And if my experience is a reflection of what I can expect at another Nobu restaurants, I won't be back to any other location either. Not worth the money to walk away disappointed.

The quality of the food, I'd say, is pretty good too. We started with a persimmon tofu salad with crab, shrimp, and asparagus - very clean flavor, refreshing. Then an assortment plate with mackerel & ika, trout roe, seaweed-marinated egg, matsutake mushroom salad, cactus nigiri (yes, you read that right!), and wagyu cake. I was not impressed with the wagyu... it was lacking in flavor and a little on the chewy side. The cactus nigiri was interesting! I like that Chef Asai is trying to incorporate Mexican culture into his dishes. I've never had cactus before, but it had that crunchy texture and plant-like taste. We then had a sashimi course - akami, hotate, and striped jack all on one plate. I think I would have wanted these separate instead of all on one plate, but maybe that's just my preference. We also had wagyu shabu-shabu, which I enjoyed! Overall, it was a mix of good and decent, and I enjoyed our lunch here! Interesting take on kaiseki experience.
