Do not ignore them for 15 minutes after you serve water. Please take their order w/in 5 minutes.. 3. Work on your aloofness. Be warm. I am an extremely generous tipper when I have good service. You made me feel like you wanted me to leave. 4. Check in on your guests to see if they need drink refills--especially when they are eating spicy food. 5. Your livelihood depends on your demeanor.
