We started off with 2 bowls of Oyster Stew that were loaded with poached oysters, butter, cream, shallots, and sherry. My husband and I each had their shrimp salad signature house roll served with hand cut fries and a pickle. My sister and her husband are big oyster fans, so they started with an enormous platter of oysters. They had 1/2 dozen Walrus & Carpenter oysters from Jamestown, Maine, 1/2 dozen Norumbega oysters, and 1/2 dozen Glidden Pts oysters from Damariscotta, Maine. They were in oyster heaven. They have a great outdoor patio that would be good on a nice day to come & have drinks. There's an oyster bar inside although I don't eat oysters. The set up is kind of crazy as the parking lot is in the back & the restaurant is next to an office building so maybe there are a few spots in front but the main parking is in back. You walk through the restaurant and the hostess stand is on the other side of restaurant where outdoor patio is. We had half & half soup which is half Maryland crab & half cream of crab it was good although super salty & my friend said it was spicy but if u like old bay it's really not spicy! I had a crab cake with fries & green beans & it was good. Again, they definitely have a salt shaker in the kitchen as I drank tons of water after the meal but the fries yum & super crispy. The crab cake was good but not a lot of lumps but I liked the crispy bottom from the skillet. The green beans had garlic & salt & were good but again they could ease up on salt a little. Overall, a nice spot and it was crowded for a Monday night. I would definitely come back & try the lobster roll. Came here on a random Tuesday and was pleasantly surprised with their awesome Tuesday special- $19 crab cake platter or sandwich! It was a great deal. Tuesdays also have $1 oyster special, lobster roll special, and drink specials! I started with the oysters which could have been shucked a little cleaner, but overall were amazing for a buck a shuck! I couldn't resist having a lobster roll, so I did that. It came with creamy butter on the side which was good but not how I prefer it, but it definitely fixed my craving. The crab cake looked great, and for $19 that's a steal! We sat at the bar in their cute outdoor space and enjoyed pleasant conversation with our bartenders. The best thing about this place was the service. Lots of smiling staff. Our waiter, Luca was so attentive and checked in on us a lot. The ambiance is noisy but that's what you can expect at a place like this. The music isn't too loud. I didn't have to yell over anyone to make conversation. We went for the happy hour and so glad we did. Raw oysters are $1 each for happy hour which was a steal in my opinion! I had hoped to leave a positive review, but unfortunately after arriving 30mins after opening on Mother's Day to an establishment that was 80% empty, I was advised that I would have to wait 45mins for a table. With my husband & 2 toddlers in tow, I looked around the restaurant and was stunned at all of the empty tables. NO customers waiting for the rest of their party to arrive in the lobby. NO customers anxiously awaiting to be seated. NO parking lots filled with cars packed with hungry passengers. 20+ empty tables. The website currently directs you to Yelp to make reservations, but the ability to make a reservation has been disabled. I respectfully don't believe this business seeks to welcome a diverse set a patrons. Therefore my only recommendation would be to take your dollars elsewhere. read more

I really like this place! There are so many different areas to hang out, depending on your dining/bar preference. The place is huge! 4 bars, 6 different vibe seating areas. My favorite is outside. Stopped in for a late lunch and was quickly seated. Took a while to get waited on but one we were the server was pleasant. The inside is very dark which makes it difficult to read the menu but it was clean and with an oyster bar feel. My wife loved the cream of crab soup. I had the crab cake with fries and cole slaw. Everyone loves a good brunch. I stopped by Ryleighs's Oyster on a Sunday after church for brunch. Entering at first is a little confusing because the signage is not readily visible. I would later realize I parked in the back but even the front lacks signage. I'll post pics for reference. Either way there is parking in the front and the back and you can enter from either side. You have the option to sit indoors or outdoor and they have a bar in both areas. My friend and I opted to sit inside. Our server was Addi and she was really nice. She gave us time to look at the menu and answered any questions we had. After surveying the menu I ordered a bottle of the Saratoga sparkling water with lime wedges on the side, a cup of cream of crab and the crab hash for my entree. The soup was delicious but the star of the show was definitely the crab hash. The meal comes in a single serve skillet and consists of potato's (sweet and regular) diced mixed with corn, onions and bell peppers. Topped with crabmeat and mozzarella cheese , seasoned with chipotle and two eggs any style. I opted to have my eggs fried over hard. All the flavors came together so nicely. At first, I didn't see the brunch menu. I was going to order salmon, but I'm so happy that I saw it before I placed my order because I was thoroughly satisfied with the crab hash so much that I plan on returning and will have it again. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is decent. They open at 11am on Sundays and we arrived around 12:30pm it wasn't that packed but they have more than enough seating. I could see this being appropriate for a group, family outing, etc. The prices are reasonable. Both my friend and I ordered the cream of crab. We both had the same entrée. She had a ginger ale and I had the bottle of Saratoga and it was about 60 bucks for the two of us. They do charge a hospitality tax but it was only about $2 and change. I wish I remembered the bartender's name but I think it was Christy. She was very attentive and friendly. Her grapefruit crushes were amazing. I ordered the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. I had fried oysters. There hasn't been any place in Maryland that made them this way. They usually use bread crumbs and i almost was giving up. This was like eating fried clams in New England. Finally! Now I wonder why places down here don't offer fried clams.My wife liked her grilled shrim. the service was excellent and the setting was very comfortable. And very reasonable prices. I've been to Ryleighs sporadically over the past year or so for the happy hour deals and good food, but the past two times I've gone were extremely disappointing to the point where we left early to go across the street to Mothers. Last time my boyfriend and I came was New Years Day. We came for happy hour and were told they wouldn't be honoring it that day. Fine, I get it it's a holiday. But we were moved from the big high top (we had more people meeting us), and then spent 15 minutes waiting to be greeted or given menus. Waitress acted inconvenienced that we were there so we just left. We still had a gift card for Ryleighs from the holidays - that's how much we rave about this place to our family - so we figured we'd give it another shot and maybe that experience was an outlier. We went again today to sit at a high top at the bar. We got a round of drinks and happy hour oysters when we first sat down and then were ignored for 30 minutes. We weren't given menus for the full hour we were there (after asking several times). Eventually the Bartender told us we had to close our tab with the bar so the server can take it over. The Server didn't greet us for another 15 minutes or so, which maybe was a miscommunication, but still. We were planning on having a full dinner there and using the gift card, but nobody gave us menus or took our order the whole time we were there. Like I said, my boyfriend and I were huge fans of this place. We've brought a lot of guests with us and would constantly recommend it to friends and family. So these past two experiences were huge let downs. We are very loyal patrons and love supporting businesses with good service - we always tip 25-30% despite being low maintenance. But after these experiences, we'd rather go somewhere that will value our patronage. read more

I also ordered the seafood pizza ( trying something new) & I was surprised it was that good. 9/10. Detroit-style pizza with tons of crab meat & enough shrimp & scallops. They didn't hold back. 2 couples came on Saturday at 6pm for drinks and dinner. It was very, very busy, packed full of people and lots of kids apparently after their lacrosse games. All the areas were very loud. It was difficult to speak or hear anything at our table, it felt like everyone was screaming. They have a large selection of food and also had sushi. 3 of us ordered from the normal menu and one ordered sushi. The 3 meals came and it took almost 20 minutes later for the sushi to Arrive......they said there was only 1 sushi person. It was very uncomfortable since no one started until food started getting cold and we thought they forgot the sushi. The food was good, the sushi was also good. The excessively loud atmosphere, the poorly timed food prep took away anything good about the food. We all decided that we'll never be back. read more

We had a nice dinner at Ryleighs, first time there. The beer selection was good and they were willing to let us taste some before choosing. The oysters were fabulous, probably the best part of the meal. My only complaint is that they only came with cocktail sauce. No remoulade, no horseradish. They seemed under staffed and it took a very long time for someone to come take our food order but our waitress was very pleasant and helpful. The lobster roll was very good but small. More like an appetizer than an entree. The poke bowl had a very nice flavor but was also quite small. The burgers and salads were pretty good too.
