In one case a bolt & washer unscrewed from the stand they had been on, but they found them on the truck for us. They were also very fast with both the loading and unloading of the truck which was great since we all had to drive back to the Triangle from Charlotte. That evening after we finish moving we realize that a bag of jewelry was left in the night stand drawer in the master bedroom. We wanted to be sure before we contacted Smooth Moves, who moved everything out of the Master bedroom and was the only movers in the master bedroom. Still giving them the benefit of the doubt b/c we support Black businesses, we contacted Smooth Moves a month or so later to move our things out of storage to our new home. However when I called Cortney, the owner said he was in Chicago, and would not be back for week. I said call me when you get back we may still need you, also I have your ''Furniture Covers about 15 of them'' . He never called me back. He never asked for the furniture covers. So I text him and said we needed to talk, he responded Ok, it may be a while. What's up ? I said we got our things out of the storage and the jewelry is missing. I told him no one was in the room but you Cortney, and his guys. I spoke again and Cortney said that his guys wouldn't do that. It had to be them because it's gone.
