Since my time with Ryan for a trainer I was able to hit my goal and more. I started at 145 lbs and now at 125 lbs. Definitely worth every sweat and tear.

Difference in just 10 days of working with Ryan. He knows his stuff that's for sure!

I definitely recommend getting a trainer who can help you with programming if you're feeling stuck where you're at with fitness. They have an awesome community they put together. They also do some community events like renting out a movie theater to watch Avatar 3 as well as diet seminars. For price point, it's in par with what you'd see at other places. We have never had a personal trainer or lifted weights with any type of discipline, so it was a daunting and intimidating process to find something we knew we needed but didn't know what exactly we were looking for. But during the first consultation Alesha completely put us at ease, and with the options of using FSA/HSA funds and discounts on bulk group class packages that my husband and I could use between us, it was a no-brainer trial run to sign-up for. 9-months later we're still at it, very grateful to have some structure, accountability, and to see real progress in our overall health. We're also appreciative that with kids and a busy work life, when we "slip" Alesha positively supports us in not focusing on our failures, but how even the small things we do during those "slips" can move us in the right direction. We also have had the opportunity to see other trainers as they work with others, and they also showcase the same dedication, support and positivity. We highly recommend A-Team Fitness - it has been truly transformative for us!

The way this works is that you start with a Fundamentals course (3 total classes) where you are taught the main lifts. This is all about getting used to the movements and understanding the right form. From there you are allowed to jump right into classes. The schedule is available online. No signups needed, you just show up. The workouts are challenging but doable. Love that the class is structured so you often work with a buddy which lets you get to know other people in the class. The class times are convenient for someone who is working the usual 9 - 5 schedule and there are classes available every day. The workout is posted on Facebook each day so you know what you're getting into before you arrive. Most importantly, the community that they have is really open and welcoming. I was nervous about trying out a CrossFit gym like this, but I'm really glad I did. Can't wait to continue with my fitness journey here!

I was amazingly impressed with how she did the assessment and pointed out all of my problems through my movements, and told me how to train to improve them and my back conditions (I have a long history of severe back pain). We focused on all the basic techniques first, the first few sessions were all about how to engage the core and breathe right to make sure I work out safely. These are essential for all sport training, but also significantly important for people with bad back like me. Gwen's workouts are challenging but super fun to do. She always listen to how my body feels to make necessary adjustment. I have passed the period of mobility focus and now working more on the agility workouts. My back has been great, and after the first few months of moving slow, I started seeing steady results. I took a Dexa scan at the beginning to know where I was at, and now taking it every 2 months to keep track of the results. If you are looking for a trainer, I highly recommend Gwen, she is a perfect match for any training needs but even more so for people with injury and training limits.

I look forward to my workout and have had great results. Rick helped push my fitness to places it's never been before. With his individual attention and focus I was able to run a Half Marathon on Memorial Day. Before I started training with Rick I had horrible knee problems. His fitness bootcamp held over on the Plaza in Sunnyvale will really challenge you to push your limits. He pays attention to everyone in the class. It's not just a cattle call with someone barking out orders. It's a real focused class. I feel like I get personal training each time I go. Rick is a caring personal trainer that gives each bootcamp participant individual attention. He will not let anyone do exercises in an unsafe or improper manner. I really encourage you to check out his website at http://www.RealResultsTrainer.com and come out to a bootcamp class with us. The girls [and our brave men] are really nice people. The lunchtime bootcamp on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 pm keeps me on track and keeps me making healthy choices all week. The first fitness bootcamp class is always free. It's worth you making the commitment to change. I still have some more weight to drop but I know that if I stick with Rick and LISTEN to him I will achieve my fitness goals.

But moving forward, there will hopefully be something in place to protect the attendees from heat related illness in the summer. Other regulars have told me this happens every year during heat waves and have also complained about it. Going forward, don't wait for bad reviews and attendee complaints before something is done. Some folks aren't afraid of going to corporate. ORIGINAL: This is my gym and I spend a lot of time here attending lots of classes, so this makes me really upset to have to change my review, but I don't think anyone will listen otherwise. The AC in the group fitness room has been broken off and on the last two weeks, to finally break completely on Monday. Two weeks ago, I had symptoms of heat stroke from trying to push through one of the classes during this heat and almost went to the hospital. I talked with the front desk about the dangers of heat sickness, especially since most people who attend the classes are elderly. I said that if the AC is not going to be working in that room, we really shouldn't be having class. My thermometer I brought stated the room was 90 degrees, not even counting everyone's body heat. The AC has been broken all this week and nobody knows anything about when this will be repaired. It went from "maybe" being fixed from Tuesday, to Wednesday, and now to "maybe" next week. Meanwhile, the instructors have to be up there in a sometimes 70 person class (of mostly elders) in 90 degrees with no air. Opening all the doors does absolutely nothing. This is a dangerous health hazard. One wall fan isn't going to cut it. We need someone to actually care and have backup generators or at the very least, a tech on site to repair things like this. Meanwhile, front desk is nonchalant and giving us the run around because the AC works perfectly fine everywhere else BUT the group fitness room. I get there's certain things you can't help, but you need to at least have something there as a backup to ensure attendees are safe. I can no longer attend the classes I love due to being susceptible to heat illness. People are in danger of doing cardio in 90 degrees. It just is not acceptable.
