I used to sleep in every day but this gym has motivated me to get a move on and show up for myself. Although I may not look too different, I'm strong now, not just skinny. And the most important changes can't be seen. My mood is regulated, I get up earlier, I feel confident, and I feel really good about myself. And yes, I have more muscle than ever! My boyfriend and I fondly refer to this place as "Booty Boot Camp" Derrick is a great coach. The classes are always changing and go by quickly. You get to choose how hard you push yourself, and there are variations if you need. The community is very kind and supportive no matter where you are in your fit journey. I recommend committing yourself for at least 3 months to really see the difference. And there are membership savings if you prepay in advance. Just remember, it doesn't work if you don't show up! Thank you, 2BFIT, for allowing me to see how much of a positive impact having a fit lifestyle has on my life.

If something needs to be fixed, it's taken care of quickly. The gym has everything you need: machines, a few squat racks, free weights, a Smith machine, and a decent-sized cardio area with a good variety of equipment. The only thing I wish they had is a chest fly machine. There are classes going on all the time, and there's a turf area where your child can play while you work out. The turf has outdoor toys, ride-on vehicles, and large Legos, which is a great setup. We use the kids club for our daughter, and she loves it and always has fun. Childcare was the main reason we chose this gym since no other gyms in Cupertino offer it, and it ended up being an amazing decision. Our daughter also does swim lessons here. Brian is very patient and makes her feel comfortable in the water. She has learned how to float, hold her breath underwater, and is beginning to swim. She used to hate swimming, and now she looks forward to going every week.

Today, I finally understood why the staff at City Sport Club provide such poor customer service…read more I was fortunate enough to speak with the manager regarding the steam room, which has been out of service for more than four months. When I asked when it would finally be repaired, I received the same response I have been hearing for months: "Maybe in a week or two." I have been given this answer repeatedly for over four months, yet the steam room has never been fixed. The manager also told me that the club had already paid $20,000 to the company responsible for repairing the steam room. However, when I asked him when the company was scheduled to come and complete the repairs, he said he had no idea. Doesn't that sound absurd? If you paid a contractor $20,000, wouldn't you expect to know when they were going to show up and perform the work? It is difficult to believe that anyone would make such a significant payment without receiving a timeline or expected completion date. I asked him directly, "When you paid the repair company, didn't they tell you when they would be coming to fix the steam room?" His response was unconvincing, and his body language suggested that he was uncomfortable with the question. At that moment, I found it hard to believe the explanation I was being given. After hearing the same promises for more than four months with no progress and no clear answers, I am left questioning both the transparency and accountability of the management team. What was even more disappointing was the manager's attitude. In the middle of our conversation, without resolving my question, offering any explanation, or even apologizing for the inconvenience, he simply turned around and walked away, leaving me standing there. After this experience, I now understand why the employees at this location treat customers so poorly--their manager sets the same example. For anyone considering joining this gym, I strongly encourage you to think twice before making your decision.

There is never judgment from the staff or the people who work out. I love them all. I am proud to call this gym my gym and I'm so happy to be part of this community. Are the equipments best in class? No. But I will come here because of the people and honestly - to be fit all you need are free weights, cardio equipment, and a little help from your friends. The trainers are always so helpful and the manager, Nico is so fun and friendly. For training I recommend Edwin. He has the most transformative training I've ever seen. I have seen his clients transform to their goal body. He takes his job seriously, corrects you while training and understands that proper form is key. He's given me tips and has also helped me transition my training to something suited and better for me and I've seen changes in the way my body respond! So- kudos to Edwin! The front desk staff from Chloe, Mayra, Lance, Andy, and Rishi are so approachable and always there with a smiling face. Jose Luis - the trainer's manager is also super helpful! Sometimes- it isn't about the equipment - it is about the people you surround yourself with that genuinely roots for you that makes a place a second home. Yes, this is my second home. I am here daily and lose days twice a day.

But it kinda stops there…read more Minuses: I am an older guy, so I really don't enjoy loud rap at 7AM with the f-word and other bad language and sexual or violent stuff in it. Just sounds like profanity and people banging on garbage cans. Every early morning that I go, the music is too loud, even overwhelming the noise cancellation feature in my Air Pods. I look around, and EVERYONE is wearing ear pods or headphones. And yet the front desk tells me that they are getting requests to turn the volume up. Which I truly doubt. Strangely, this is not an issue at the San Jose location. Just Sunnyvale. In the mornings, there can be HITT classes and the instructors play the music painfully loud on their own portable sound system. Normally, there is a separate, walled room for this (San Jose Crunch), but not in Sunnyvale. So we all suffer from the ear-banging. There is an overabundance of treadmills which I have never seen full, but only one cable machine for shoulder workout, which is either broken or full-time occupied. Only two free-weight bench press benches, typically full. Only two portable benches in the weight area, typically full. For about two years, I have asked to have the men's shower controls repaired; you set the temperature handle, and it slowly drifts to scalding. A plumber could fix this in about 10 minutes. At least two conversations with the manager about this, and no repairs. Also, one or both shower soap dispensers is typically empty or broken. The worst is when I get attitude from the front desk staff. I ask for something (like non-rap music) and I get lots of reasons why I can't have it. And that kind of smile that really says "screw you, you can't make me do it." I don't know if the budgets are zero here, or if the management just doesn't care, but something really is not right. Almost every other club I have been to is more positive, helpful, clean, functional, and courteous. And at other clubs, I typically have no problem getting in contact with the manager. Here, it has been a challenge.

Fortunately, there are good and compassionate people who are trained in the restoration of mobility for those of us who are in need of a tune-up. Few of us want to be consigned to the rocking chair, unable to get onto the floor to play with our grandchildren. Speaking of good and compassionate professionals, I would heartily recommend Peak Physical Therapy in Cupertino for several reasons: 1 - From the moment I walked through the door, I was made to feel like a welcomed member of a family. The first people I met were the receptionists and, truly, they were glad to see me. I received this same welcoming feeling every time I arrived for a session, not just from the receptionists but from everyone. 2 - Of note was that my therapist NEVER treated me as just another body in some production line. Yes, I have had that experience elsewhere. She focused completely on me, quickly assessing my needs and developing an efficient plan of stretching and strength building. She was always polite and engaging, the kind of person that you would treasure as a good friend. 3 - Also telling, the other patients seemed very happy to be there as well. Obviously, their needs were being met and hope for restoration was being fostered. And that is one of the great gifts that Peak has to offer: hope. But, of course, we, as patients have a role to play in our own recovery. 4 - There are a good number of aides to assist the P/Ts. Every aide I worked with was pleasant, courteous, professional, and really helpful if I had questions about an exercise or needed a bit of help getting a strap around my big shoes. 5 - The facility itself is spacious, well-lit, clean, and feels comfortable. Items, such as towels, pillows, the treatment tables, etc. are cleaned after each patient. They have their own washer/dryer. (Not for patient use, unfortunately.) In summary, please avoid trying to self-diagnose or form your own recovery plan. Let the professionals at Peak set you on the best road to recovery in a safe, efficient manner.

Before coming to her, I had seen several other physical therapists with no improvement, to the point where I truly believed my knees were permanently damaged. I had injured the tendons in both knees, and despite seeing multiple doctors, the pain persisted for so long that they began suspecting autoimmune conditions. I was discouraged, in constant discomfort, and losing hope--until I found Michelle. Reading the amazing reviews about her gave me hope, and I am endlessly grateful to everyone who shared their experience and led me to her. Michelle is by far the most caring, knowledgeable, and supportive physical therapist anyone could ever ask for. She takes the time to truly listen, and then carefully designs a treatment plan tailored to your body's needs. Every exercise she recommended was intentional and effective--nothing generic or rushed. Thanks to Michelle, my knee pain has decreased significantly. She has helped me strengthen the right muscles, rebuild stability, and regain confidence in my movement. Today, I'm not only walking without pain--I can hike and even dance again, things I thought I might never do comfortably. Michelle has an incredibly warm and encouraging presence that makes each session something I actually look forward to. She genuinely cares about her patients and goes above and beyond to help them heal. If you're struggling with chronic pain or past injuries and feel like nothing has worked--please don't give up until you've seen Michelle. She is truly exceptional.
